Hey Grant, thanks for the mention of my channel. I appreciate it. Will look forward to the Occre Santisima. No doubt you will do an exceptional job as always. Meanwhile I'm going to steal your block seizing gadget idea ;)
Hi Greg, no problem, feel free to pinch the idea, despite how it looked it does make it easier and neater.
Just amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks rob, glad your enjoying the videos, thanks for supporting the channel
Im currently building the one from Artesiana Latina, its a massive project. I kind of wish I got the Occre kit cause the paint is a huge pain. Looking forward to seeing the comparison of the two kits, and the custom work you do to it. That seizing gadget is a great idea!
Hi Robert, ive been watching Greg (a viewer of the channel who has his own channel) he has built up the frame, i must admit Artesania kits are not the same quality as they used to be, after the Belem i dont think i would get another, the frames are very thin, will you be packing out the ribs prior to planking?. The first version of the siezing gaget needs a few improvements, but it works and does make it easier lol
I agree with the quality, my dad has an older version of the Bounty, no double planking ribs are solid etc. No I did no pack the ribs, and planking is one of the many things I struggle with, that's why I went with the painted version lol.@@g-kip
I gotto make 1 of those. Tho i think i would span it in a vise. Currently i simple span a needle in a vise to hold the block, and hang a weight on the loose end.
Hi Martin, I may come up with some improvements, but it does make it easier and neater.
How long have you been building ships, how many do have under your belt?
Hi Robert, ive been building on and off for about 6 years, my first kit was Constructo Hms VIctory, not the easiest of kits to start with, but i was spoilt by the quality of the kit, shame they are no longer around, i have 4 completed and 2 part completed, as I still work fulltime, i dont have as much time as i would like
