Eric wanted to upgrade his stock oil cooler to the Competition Series by Evolution Racewerks. It took us almost an entire day, but we finally got it done! If you're going to install one, this video will definitely help you!

@@HelpMeDIY Yeah, but you know, I did the Dinan cold air intake for my 135i, and also the ER stuff, but I feel they assume one is an experience mechanic or something and skip some details, which delays the instal process, any how, I enjoyed the extra time spent, my front bumper cover still don't fit right, its tight, but I haven't bother to much as I have plans to install de 1m version which look little bigger in the corners, indeed a great video you did..

Thbaks for this video. Just curious, did you guys reach out to get clarification on some of the install issues you ran into? I am a big fan of ER, but I would not be happy if I paid for a kit developed for my car and ran into the install issues you ran into. Nice video! I purchased the mossleman oil cooler kit myself with upgraded thermostat. I didn’t opt in for the double oil cooler but I’ll see if single upgraded is enough! I go on very long canyon runs in my FBO bmw and my temps go way high at 260F I also need to add quart of oil all the time

@@HelpMeDIY it’s common for N54 to burn a lot of oil when boosted. By all the time I mean every few months versus stock I never had to add oil. It’s only when I push it hard and it burns hot. Hey is this 135 being used on a track? Curious as I’m thinking of buying this kit for going to the track. I haven’t found feedback as to whether it prevents limp mode during auto cross events etc. The company claims it prevents limp mode, and I don’t doubt it does, but would like some real world testimony. For daily driving, probably not a huge deal. I went this route due to if you’re going to track the car or running it hard, the car does go into limp mode from oil temps. The N54 platform has a lot of heat related issues for anything more than daily commuting
