Much as I admire this series, I am surprised there was no mention -- let alone overall frequency -- of IFIS (floppy iris) especially with Flomax or the rarer incidence of painful priapism (a medical emergency) with these meds.
Hi, ive a question for dr scholz! Ive heard that after radiotherapy treatment the chances of getting secondary bowel or bladder cancer rises from 1% over time to 50% chance after about 5 years! Is this true? 👍
I have stage 4 prostate cancer I have just finished my 2 years of hormone therapy and radiation and brachytherapy . This week For 2 days I had pain when I urinated a couple of times nothing came out.one time it looked like blood in my urine. Is this normal it has not happened again
I take Uraxatrol but it has no effect...in fact, I was getting dizzy and went off for a couple weeks, and flow was the same if not a bit better. What is my next step?
Tamsulosin is the generic version of Flomax, mentioned in the video. I am on blood pressure meds (Losartan, metoprolol) due to a heart attack, but initially I didn't experience side effects with Flomax, but after about a year, I did start to develop lightheadedness, and may have led to low blood pressure. A few months ago I fainted (syncope), and because I really didn't notice any improvement with my urine flow, I stopped the Flomax (after discussion with my Urologist)... no more lightheadedness. For my BPH, I'm currently on finasteride (Proscar), but not sure if its actually working either. BTW, I'm on Active Surveillance with a low volume Gleason 3+4 PcA.
I need cataract surgery for both eyes so I had to get off Rapidflo and Dutesteride....all my symptoms are back....4 to 5 times a night urination; high blood pressure; prostate back up to 180cc.....at this point....quality of life is so low...I just don't see the point
Hang in there bro. Get yourself on keto and intermittent fasting and watch your inflammation and blood sugar issues reduce. Check our Dr Eric Berg’s channel for more specific recommendations
@@Gerrysjamz I was in the same situation as you, my eye surgeon advised me to continue with my medication, they could accommodate it. Two cataracts replaced 6 months ago no problems. Speak to you surgeon. Good luck.
tks Alex & Dr Scholz

A question - once you start these medicines, does one need to continue for lifetime or is it supposed to be for a limited period ?

Continue your meds. Any good eye surgeon can deal with your flomax/ rapaflo
