Will soon head to Skjervoy to snorkel with the orcas. Only suitable camera gear is a GoPro 9. Do you think I will need to bring artificial light for filming?
@underwatercam Thanks for the quick response. Could you maybe explain, why you think they make no sense? Because the orcas are too far away? And what else would make sense?
@@diesdasananas6012 Have you ever used lights under water? What would be the max. distance your light could illuminate the scene? 1meter? So the orca has to get really close and I am not even sure the would get that close. Also the water is not clear and you would have enourmous backscatter problems. Have you seen any documentary where they used artificial lights shooting orcas? I don't know any. But to be honest, if you travel so far and get a chance, ...maybe a once in a lifetime chance to swimm with orcas, invest in a new gopro and a spare battery ...and a cage/rig .... good luck
@@underwatercam Thank you so much for the detailed answer. I have no experience in filming underwater but from two snorkel tours in the mediterranean sea, which is of course completely different from the norwegians sea 😊 So thanks for your advice!
