FLEX FUEL Conversion On My TERMINATOR Cobra! *E85*

- Today I install a return style fuel system and a flex fuel sensor on my 03 terminator cobra. This video can be found helpful for anyone looking to do the same. The car with this combo can support 93 and E85, and even a mixture of both and always stay within my target AFR.

Something I'd like to better clarify about fueling; the VE table 3 is a duplicate table just for fine tuning with E85... Yes, it does burn 30%ish faster, that's already accounted for NOT in your VE tables, but in the Flex Fuel sensor settings tab. In there it has a multiplier for required fuel, and that's how it keeps the fueling in line even with the faster burning fuel.
ALSO for anyone wanting to know, I run the car at 58PSI fuel pressure, and so far I have not had any issues with the 60lbs injectors.
As you know I have the same pumps and will but bumping mine to 58psi when we install the new rails... and that's with FIC 1200 injectors.
Thanks for the clarification on the fuel scaling. What about ignition? I noticed you didn’t have a scaler and you just copied the ignition tables. Did it run without tweaking them? Was it sluggish at all until you had your ignition table adjusted?
Excited to do this on my car here soon. Makes me feel a lot better seeing a video of how this all comes together
It was a little scary going into it but it was pretty simple putting it together.
Inspiring. 🤠 Awesome content brother. 🔥🔥
Thanks I appreciate that!
Great video Blake. Keep em comin’!!
Great video
Thanks for watching!
That was a cool install! Thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching
Nothing like the smell of E85 burning...
The smell Is one of the best parts
Nice video! My local stations range from 90% ethanol all the way down to mid 50s! (I manually test it at each fill up) I’m running the stock ECU with an E85 only tune… Having an MS3 to adjust and know ethanol content on the fly would be amazing!
Oh it's super convenient, and my perfect tuning gauge shows me my ethanol percent now even if I don't have my laptop. My local gate seems to be consistently 70 and up
You can make all the powa now...
I can make my same power safer lol
Awesome stuff. Not that i have a need for e85 bit even if i wanted to..the closest e85 pump is like an hour away from me.
There are a lot in Florida I'm sure there is one closer than that if you ever wanted to do it in the future
@@CertifiedRippers nah, there isnt. Ive searched. Im sure in the future there will be. Im in a small town, we have a walmart, a winn dixie and thats pretty much it. Like 6 redlights and your already completely thru town.
@@TheModAddictmy town has 2 red-light so yall are new York city compared to us lol
What flex fuel sensor did you use I’m doing the exact same kit as you
I got it off Amazon. Genuine GM parts sensor
I keep hearing people talk about the possibility of corrosion building up in the fuel injectors with E-85. Is this concern over blown?
It’s a concern if you plan to leave the car sitting for 4 or 5 years
Gotcha, I was told you have to run 93 through the fuel system before the car is stored for the winter. Probably don’t have to worry about that in Florida.
