    Awesome channel! So great to see tutorials and tabs for lamb of god. Even as a semi-beginner, I am able to start learning some of these songs (or at least some parts for now lol) at a slow pace. Other videos play at full speed and there's no way someone like me could learn the songs that way, so thanks so much for taking the time to post this awesome content!

      You'll get there mate, just keep trying. Download you a metronome app and just keep slowly bumping it up that's what I have to do. Lambs music is pretty fast and a little technical so no I wouldnt expect a beginner to get it quickly. But props for atleaste trying 🤘🤘 I enjoy playing 11th hour and walk with me in hell

    Unreal videos bro! Can you do a video on how to set up a practice routine or a good practice routine for building speed/building up to a shred

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад +1

      Thanks man!
      I've actually made a video in late 2019 on the practice routine that I did in my first year: ruclips.net/video/Ffoqd5Vuydc/видео.html
      I talk about it after the comparison. It's the same practice routine I still preach to this day. The 4 main techniques daily and progressively with a metronome. Include practicing a melodic solo (ONE AT A TIME) with very few shred alongside that at the start, and when you get good at the 4 main techniques with exercises, move to more difficult solos.
      Short version
      1 exercise for each 4 techniques + a solo

    This guitar sounds nice asf 👍 what amp do you use

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  3 года назад +1

      I get my tone through software. There is no real amp or real pedals. I plug my guitar into a soundcard device called Focusrite scarlet solo. This device connects my guitar to my laptop.
      On my laptop, I have a software that I purchased a couple of years back called Bias FX 1. The newer version Bias FX 2 has been out for a while but I have not felt the need to upgrade.
      This software is an amp and effects simulator. It has virtual amps and effects that can be applied to the guitar sounds going from the guitar, through the soundcard, and then the laptop.
      I mostly practice with my headphones connected to the soundcard, and recordings go straight into the recording software.
      I've made a video on the matter a while back. The tone mainly used in this video is the rhythm tone I talk about in that video: ruclips.net/video/JELOdpRk_0Q/видео.html

    So the line above the bottom one means you pick it faster for that note span?

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  2 года назад

      I'm not quite sure what it is you're exactly referring to. If you could point me to where in the video it is, I'll do my best to explain.

    • @justinbowen1183
      @justinbowen1183 2 года назад

      @@MZguitar there is a normal bold line and then there is a smaller one right above it. It seems the tempo changes for that brief moment. Its in the very beginning the open notes right after the 12's and 13's

    • @MZguitar
      @MZguitar  2 года назад

      @@justinbowen1183 Sorry for the late reply! The notes with the two bold lines are 16th notes, and the ones with a single bold line are 8th notes. This does indeed have to do with timing but it's mostly a notation thing. Since I play the parts, it's not necessary for one to understand the details of timing in notation to play the part.
      Regardless, here's a summarized explanation of the concept:
      16th notes are half the value of 8th notes. Meaning 2 sixteenth notes = 1 eighth note. From a timing perspective, this means that you'd fit two sixteenth notes in the same span of time you'd play a single 8th note in the song. So let's say in the song we're talking about, an eighth note is equal to a second. In this case, a sixteenth note would be equal to 0.5 seconds.
      So yes, 16th notes are played faster than 8th notes. There is more to this, but I hope this is enough to answer your question. I hope to make some videos on the subject in the near future.
