Hi Josh, I started watching your Mountain Roots and now your new journeys. Your work is peerless, and I live vicariously through your stellar productions. Kindest wishes from Johannesburg, South Africa.
The best documentary I have ever seen. Thank you very much PBS for sponsoring Josh on his journey. And Josh you can kick back and smile cuz you did one heck of a job. Thank you for all the time and effort that you have put in to make these 10 episodes for PBS. Please continue on with your mountain roots channel and you can be sure that I will be there to watch them all😊
Great Abingdon vid, interviewing three people who moved in with serious money. A few omissions: 1) Only go there if you don't need a job. 2) If you ain''t white, you better know where you're allowed to be. 3) If you ain't far right, stay quiet. 4) Don't live there if you need even slightly special medical care. 5) Make sure you got a thief-resistant house. Drugs are huge. 6) Expect Boss Hawg politics.
From an actual Abingdon resident: 1) I know several people who moved here for jobs. 2) That's ridiculus, not worth my time 3) Sure, take that advice 4) I mean, you can get to many specialists with a quick trip to Bristol, Kingsport or Johnson City. 5) Crime rate is actually very low in Abingdon 6) What does that even mean?
@@snogboxes Yeah, you’re right I guess. It definitely does. I’ve personally never really needed any serious medical care, but everything I’ve heard about Ballad is negative.

William King museum was originally a school. I attended elementary school there in the early 1970s.

agree with this except Abingdon swings very left in politics
@@shadowfax3505 #4, don't argue with this. We ALL know Ballad sucks, gotta go out of the system for better care and you know that lmao
