Togashi actually has other assistants, not just his wife, and one of them reported that he's surprisingly kind to them. You decide if he just pays them to keep him company while he writes or they make sure he actually eats, bathes and takes his meds.
They sound more like life assistants. Make sure you dont go insane bc of minimal human contact or die bc you're neglecting your health.

I actually started reading One Piece again recently. I stopped near the end of the Dressrosa arc because I (like everyone) felt it was going on too long. But I picked it up again and just went to the Zou arc. My god I’ve missed the series. I know it’s easy to make fun of because of the character designs but that world just makes me feel so comfortable to be in

It makes me sad when people trash on hxh art because I personally love it a lot. I think it has tons of personality and experience, I love the confidence of Togashi's lines that comes from drawing hundreds of chapters and I think the character design is amazing. I really don't like how a lot of people think good art=a lot of details and that's it.
I've dropped a ton of anime in my life, halfway through or near the end. But I talk about the problems with the little things I watched, in-depth, so people think I know anime.

Currently watching bleach and i am at 300 episode range and i can say its really good, especially the fight scenes with ichigo but also their are some filler episodes that take away from its shine but overall 8/10 IMO.
Yeah I don't know why people shit on most of bleach, I've watched and read everything and I enjoyed it. The ending felt a bit rushed to me but the anime and manga are a 9/10 to me.

Shounen Jump hat nothing to do with the drop off TPN had. Arc 1 was good, goldie pond was alright I guess but anything in between and especially after was just pure bad creative writing from the mangaka. Shuisha didn't put him under any time pressure to wrap it up fast or anything.

Hunter x Hunter manga gave us the chrollo vs hisoka fight, the kakin prince that hired TPT to kill the Kurta clan then the voyage to the dark continent filled with PAGES FILLED WITH PARAGRAPHS... and then the manga left off on a good cliff hanger.

As long as you skip fillers, the anime is better than the manga imo.
Reading Bleach weekly was a terrible experience, you'd get like 15 pages of characters posing up to fight, maybe a couple of sword clashes and if you were lucky, 3 lines of dialouge. I've never read any other manga where chapters were that time-wasting and empty.
Sure, if you binge them all at once it's not as noticeable because it just means more scrolling, but you do get the story at a decent pace, but weekly? Hell no.

Also what are the odds, today I was putting my vote in for Bon Clay in the WT 100 popularity poll.
I finished claymore yesterday and I've started it 2 days ago, and ohh boy. It started off so well. And I was glued to it for the first day when I read around 70 chapters. Then on my second day I was glued to it again until chapter 100ish. Idk exactly when but at some point it just felt like the author couldn't handle just how big the world and story he built got. The ending was predictable, there were no twists anymore and overall I think it was mediocre. But the manga itself was great, I'll give it a deserved 7.5/10.

Pirates find another band of pirates - The straw hats are leaving from zou when luffy is poisoned and they come across Yonji and Reiju on a Germa ship
Bad initially and then turned - Germa 66 blackmails sanji into marrying pudding but at the actual wedding once sanji saves their lives, they help the straw hats escape
And are part of some military - Germa 66 is literally a militaristic country that took over the west blue at some point. Oda made them by mixing the power rangers and the Nazis
One of the best manga is this manhwa called Breaker. Like you get hooked on that shit and you want to inject the chapters into your veins every few minutes but the ending is a one of the worst endings you've ever come across. But still it's awesome it's just when you flip to that last chapter someone drops their doodles right on your face and author is like yea great thanks nice knowing yea cya. lol.

Man "on haiatus" was the one thnig that made me simply stop reading most manga "live".
I either wait for a completed version(rare) or simply read arc by arc and ignore them otherwise.
bad enough most of them don't have a plan that lasts beyond the next few chapters so you get some heavily bloated filler-ish midpoints and a lot of the final resolutions feel like they were penned on the back of a matchbox and decided on during a train ride home after one of "those" conversations with the publisher holding your immediate life and serialisation by the short and curlies.
e.g. end of eva, ranma, every shounen/harem/serialisation in existence.

Keep in mind that Togashi at the time of Making YYH’s final Arc was going through something similar that Kojima was going through back in his final days with Konami. When it started affecting Togashi’s health he wanted to GTFO of there.

These guys have watched things that most people here haven't even heard of but they haven't watched Fmab, HxH, One piece.
I know a friend like that. He would name a bunch of anime shows that he watched that I've never even heard of before but he hasn't watched a single episode of One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Bleach, and HxH.

The thing about one piece is, i haven't watched it, i have listened to stories of some arcs from my friend.
It is sort of like a situational anime. There are different arcs and they happen one after the other.
The thing that makes one piece so good is, those arcs are fcking amazing, each character has such an amazing story. I don't know how but Oda managed to create such an amazing world, characters and arcs, as they said, he has the imagination of a child and the implementation of fcking Shakespeare.
I think in theory, if you just watch the beginning of one piece, then you can just watch most of the arcs, don't know cuz haven't watched.

The thing is Togashi went from Yu Yu Hakushu time schedule which every a chapter every week, by monthly, monthly to six chapters every 8 months later or better after every 3byears later.

And the other day I was just scrolling through twitter and saw some guys talking about the latest episode, and the day after i just went to my friend and told him "yo how you seen the latest episode him and the elf girl just kissed", even though i dont know shit about the series.
