Freidi I told you about the channel Renovation East in Germany in a previous post. It turns out they’re looking for a new adventure and are going to be selling their little cottage. There’s direct access to a lake at the end of their property. I don’t know anything else about it except it’s a little community and there are other people around.
I am part of a facebook group for people looking for swedish house and a lot of them already bought by wire transfer without a bank account. They needed a trail proof of the money which is pretty easy to get from the bank. I hope things gets easier!
Good things come to those who wait........... I know it's hard to accept, but it's reality in this case. The bank account rules don't appear to be flexible, so get that taken care of first. True, you're most likely not going to get the one you're in love with right now. Just means be patient, and see what comes along after you've gotten the bank account set up. You'll probably end up finding something much better yet......... I know when I was looking for my home I was out bid, or rejected many times in the search. The place I ended up with turned out to be "the one". Was cheaper than the other places, and turned out to be the most "profitable" in the end. Not to mention the fact I love this place way more than if I'd gotten one of the others first........... Hang in there Friedi...........
you have a very healthy perspective on life! I know the end of this story as I recorded this some time ago and it takes an interesting turn as well :D Thank you for tuning in one more time!
We (being Dutch) are in the proces of moving to Sweden, wanting to buy a property. Actually because of the problems you face...we decided to rent first and settle down, so a personnumber and swedish bankaccount will not be the problem. Following your adventures and hoping that you will succeed !
I think it would be easier to convince the agent do as all other agents and accept a german bankaccount. Call the agents boss if necessary and also tell the owner or the house that the agent is making it difficult to buy the house. Put all your effort there, rather than trying to make a bank do an exception from the banking rules… that will probably not happen. Good luck! Dont give up!
The banking rules are against EU law :D I tried with the owners as well. They are German... I won´t spoil you the end of this story but it takes an interesting turn!
Hey man I understand your frustration at not being able to open a bank account because you need a social security number or a temporary one according to Swedish banks. one way around or one way to speed up that process is to buy a used cheap car in Sweden (yes, it is okay for EU members to buy a car in Sweden) And when the registration document is sent to the Swedish Vehicle Registry, they order a Social Security number/temprary number by the tax authority and it usually takes about a week because the car has to be registered ASAP and the number is needed for that. The bank knows this but may not be allowed to tell it. The real estate agent can, if they wish, accept payment from your German bank, but some simply don't want to. You also need a social number to connect you to the electricity grid, drinking water, delivery, etc Good luck and welcome to Sweden
Hej Friedi, its not because you are a German thats they do difficult, its the hole system thats so 🤯. We are Dutch and had the same and even worse experience, it went from almost crying to just laughing, its a stupid system. But ask the agent to help in this case, that can help, take a look at oscar the explorer they got help from the agent, they had it in a view days!
Friedi, I cannot understand why it's SO hard to open a Swedish bank acct to buy a property?? I really hate to see your favorite property slip from your fingers! It's not like you are not performing all the necessary steps to open a bank acct. They are throwing a lot of road blocks in your way. I still have my fingers crossed you get a miracle and it all works out for you and you become a Swedish property owner!😊
Hey Nicole. I think I´ve mentioned this a couple times in the comments as well as in the videos itself in the past, that I record in Sweden and edit in Germany. People come from this perspective that you live in a van = you can edit and take as much time as needed to perform for youtube. This is not the case for me, unfortunately. Editing a video like this takes me up to 2 days. Sweden was 24/7 about finding a house and not so much performing on social media :D I hope this cleared things. I will mention this in an upcomming QnA, too
Everything happens for a reason. The things you learn along the way will be useful to you as you grow. These are teaching moments for sure. If it’s meant to be it will be but maybe there is something better planned for you but you can’t see it right now. Sometimes it’s not the best thing to get what we think we want at the time. Be patient and pray.
@@friedi.off-grid I was following a channel in Germany. Maybe he'd know of someone who could direct you to find something comparable there. His channel is "renovationeast.
Craziness I relocated to different area within my country . Closed my back account walked into the new bank and said I need to open a checking account done in 10 min . I did need provide a photo ID from country or state and my SS # . Thats how it done in US , no idea what kind of 🤡show Sweden is pulling on you Craziness!
Das ist ja ein wahrer Krimi 😮 Hoffentlich klappt es mit dem Bankkonto noch rechtzeitig!!!!!!!!
Wish your hopes come true 👍 😊..

Thanks for the info! I don´t get why it has to be this way and this way only. We are all part of the EU, aren´t we?

Didn´t help in this case. And yes, the system is pretty strict :D

Here in Norway the people think is easier deal with banks in Sweden...
I know by now how this story ends and yes, it is a real bummer. But seriously, it shouldn´t be so hard as it is against EU law.
Hi have a good day
same to you!
You can put you name on the contract, just put in a klaus regarding you personnummer to clear.
Shame that this is obiously recorded in the spring so you already know if you got the bankaccount and the house….

@@friedi.off-grid thanks for explaning!
Would it have been possible to open a (valid for bidding) swedish bankaccount via Raisin?
No bank account needed for bidding.
It’s not the one 😊
And right you are. You will see why in the next couple videos :)

You better seek asylum, then everything will materialise for free .
Dealing with banks is s pain . Good luck in your hunt . Norway calling

Getting a bank account was impossible.
