This is my dream, I am going back to college for Computer Science and I've also been teaching myself HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript. I can't wait to have this in my life!!
I like a hybrid schedule for work. It's really nice to work from home, but I also feel it's important to interact with colleagues on a face-to-face basis. The only thing I dread about going into the office is L.A. traffic. It's gotten a lot worse in the last month since schools are back to a full-time in-person schedule.
I just heard on a Podcast, with a bunch of milionaires, were they are mocking over a video that one Twitter Employee posted in the past describing her work routine. They are basically saying she does not work at all, and they are saying that to validate all the layoffs. Even if it's true (The work wasnt so hard) that was just ONE video, of ONE person. and (to me) that's NOT employee fault, it's just the context and the way things go at the time of the video. And they are taking 1 person as a reference to blame the entire group that were laid off. ;(
Great video! Working my way through HTML, CSS, and Javascript now before moving on to selecting a camp. We also just finished getting resettled out here in CA, so I feel your pain. I do not want to move again for a very long time.
Catching up with your more recent videos. Once you have got through current challenge I think a apartment tour would be interesting and popular - looks beautiful and great view out the window. Remember to use those hashtags lol. All the best.
I love the vibe of the your videos! I can relate with lots of the stuff you are living since I also work for a huge company, as cloud engineer. I really like that you don't have to re-invent the wheel, but I have to be honest, sometimes I feel the urge to just leave and take a startup-job role just because, idk, sometimes the lack of having the opportunity to drive big decisions is kind of frustrating. But usually that feeling just goes away after a couple of weeks, haha. Thanks for sharing your videos, I really like that song that sounds super catchy, what is the name? :) Cheers from Costa Rica!
I feel you entirely on wanting to just join a startup and take the reigns on big initiatives. But I’ve done that and burned out before, right now I’m happy with stability and paving myself haha. Music is by HOME, first song is “Warmth” and second song is “Before The Night”
Hi, I’ve been trying to teach myself to code but it has been really hard lately also, I’m not really trying to pay money for a bootcamp. How did you get into software developing?
Currently I am doing my Associate degree in Computer Information Systems. After this, I will pursue my bachelor's degree in information technology. My goal is to be a Software Engineer. I am in Semester 3 in my associate degree program, so I am searching for internship opportunities.
Hi Tony, I am a 20 year old tech analyst at bank of america that also started my career through a coding bootcamp/ corporate readiness program that was a year long. I now live with my gf and am currently financing a cream frenchie that will join our home in Christmas. Your story is inspiring to me. I would love to get the chance to talk to you about some of my questions about your journey in your career as well as ones related to owning your adorable tortellini. Please lmk what the best way to contact you would be, anyways thanks for making these videos you dont realize how many people you could be touching with these vids
Hi Tony could I please find some time to speak with you? It would be a very quick convo I just have some questions about tortellini and general stuff about your life. I am a big fan of the content you make, it would really mean a lot if you could find 10 min to talk
My first dev job is in a startup company then moved to a bigger company, now I'm working again in a startup company. Working in bigger companies will let you have a more relaxed environment compared to startup but if your plan is to learn and have practical experience in a wide variety of tasks startup is really good.
i thought Elone wanted you back in your offices , that is unless you were not fierd because he is doing that to almost half of the employees at Tewitter !!! Nice Vid too

Yeah it’s that time of year in LA. If you have a flexible schedule you can try to leave later or earlier though!
The fact that you went from a Sales Associate with Marketing bachelor's to Software Engineer at Twitter is insane! Congrats man!
Thank you! It’s been a journey. I hope others feel they can do the same.
Your dog AND you are both GORGEOUS! 😁😄

You picked a great place to settle, lots of companies have offices in OC now and remote work is still very accessible!
Hey, good to see you!
Hey Prathamesh good to see you too!

Thank you Evan 🤗
are u still working for twitter?
I gotta say that u have a quite good taste of music.
Meetings are a pain. Lots of time they are non productive. I hate them. I know they are necessary but I’m still not awfully fond of them.

Thanks for watching!
Hope you find a new job man! Twitter layoffs are brutal
Did you use Scala at Twitter?
Not me personally but yes a lot of our codebase was written in scala. There are some great write ups on why it was chosen if you do some googling.
