    Thank you for making these videos! The tape trick is great. One of the first things I noticed was how much this thing moves around.

    Do you have any experience with the Elecom Huge? If so how does it compare to it? The off center ball has been a minor issue with me and even after I changed the bearings it was a tiny bit sticky still. Does the Gameball stick at all and stuff like that?

      I do have experience with the Elecom Huge actually! It's in my closet right now. Unfortunately, I had the same problem after swapping the bearing.
      I think it has something to do with the ball itself. As for the Gameball I haven't run into the stickiness problem at all.

    Hearing about how hard it is to click I think I may opt for a ploopy or ploopy mini (also comes with button customizing firmware)

    • @Raire
      @Raire  2 года назад +1

      Its not that hard to click, just in the action the Gameball is somewhat slippery so if you push too hard it likes to slide around. The Ploopy also has a similar problem to a lesser degree. Both of the devices just don't have large enough rubber feet tbh.

    Did you ever try using a thumb trackball? Any thoughts on thumb vs finger trackballs? Thanks

    • @Raire
      @Raire  2 года назад +1

      I have actually tried the Mx Ergo as my first and only thumb trackball. In terms of thoughts my opinions are a bit skewed because my thumb is actually slightly locked up.
      What I will say is in general I think a thumb trackball is great for people transitioning from a regular mouse. However for gaming I feel having only one finger in control is a small limitation. If we boiled down my opinion, it would be something like thumb for SPEED and fingers for PRECISION.

      @@Raire I'm currently thinking of purchasing a trackball, I'm thinking of going for an mx ergo, I have a elecom deft pro but while using it, i feel like my palm gets stiff, was thinking of trying out a thumb trackball in case it feels different, but im still unsure, also thinking of purchasing a ploopy classic as I feel the ergo shape is better vs the gameball, unless you're way of using it makes it have an ergo feel? ahaha thanks for the reply. It's cool to see trackball users game.

      The MX Ergo or Ploopy will be more ergonomic. Unfortunately because the Gameball is ambidextrous it can't compare in that regard.

    • @pikkons

      Mx Ergo is a good one but thumb balls put a lot of strain on that area on your hand in an un-natural way. Tendonitis in the thumb in not uncommon.

    Thank you for this. I have been getting forearm pain cause of how far back my hand has been sitting. Moving the left click to that front button is a life saver. Thank you! Do you recommend any acceleration software?

    • @Raire
      @Raire  2 года назад +1

      I don't use any acceleration however, if you feel you will be more comfortable with it go for it! I have try acceleration in the past and it is all a matter of preference tbh.

    Even when having hands that can use this huge trackball, my ring finger hurts for right clicking , it is the worst part fo this product is how hard you have to press for that right click.
    I've been daily driving gameball since october in 2021 so pretty much 4 months.

    • @Raire

      Yeah switches could have been lighter. Or the buttons could have been more sloped. I'm think of 3D printing a attachment to do that tbh.

  • @nyghtly-derek

    I notice that my index finger tends to twitch a little bit when I right click, which makes accuracy a real pain. Have you had any trouble with that? Any suggestions to improve?

    • @Raire
      @Raire  2 года назад +1

      If a game has toggle to aim as a option, I usually turn that on. Helps if you are having trouble keeping it steady when you right click. Also try to get three points of contact for your arm, don't just leave it floating in the air. Even having the bottom of your palm pushed against something helps. It's bad manners but my elbow for example is always on the table even when I'm using a mouse.
      You can also download the latest firmware on the support page for the Gameball. It should allow you to swap buttons around which can make things feel more natural. By default the buttons are setup in a way that I found spread out my fingers too much so I bound the topmost buttons into my left and right clicks.
      Other than that it a matter of slowly improving and figuring out things out to be honest. Don't forget about basic things like table height, sitting comfortably or having a foot rest. If it feels like you're fighting your body to move a certain way, it's not a bad idea to take a look at why.

    Where did u get the silver ball? Thought u had the red ball from the LE version?

    • @Raire
      @Raire  2 года назад

      I needed a replacement ball as I got careless with the red one. Support was nice enough to ship a extra ball that they had on hand as a one time deal. So I got lucky with the replacement.

    hey how did you change the mouse button?

    • @Raire

      Check out the Gameball's support page. There should be a firmware download link that allows more functionality on your Gameball for swapping buttons.
