This lady is an absolute joy, and her recipes are so very easy to follow. Her soft Midlands accent only adds to the warmth of her personality. Wonderful!
This lady is so nice! Her voice is lovely and her recipes divine. I have just started bread making (after 45 years of disasters!) and intend following all her recipes. Keep sending them Titli!
im drooling here ! and thankyou for putting up the 'normal' oven settings as well as fan oven..its really useful for me. i will try these..i havent made much bread, but when i have my 'warm place' is out in the car..on a sunny day it rises good and fast, and i feel very smug and housewifey as the neighbours watch me going up and down the drive with my baking..lol. xx
What a lovely video, your voice is clear and friendly and the instructions easy to follow and complete. I am very fond of toasted tea cakes and it has been one of my delights when visiting the UK to go to a tea room and have one (that and Eccles cakes)
What lovely, fresh tea cakes! You must announce a meet and greet session sometime. I would love to come just to say hello and thank you, in person!! Love watching everything you make!
These look very comforting and yummy. I'm so excited for all the new bread recipes! There's nothing quite like spending a lazy weekend making tasty bread.
I am going to love this channel. I've no memories of anyone in my family baking breads. I find that I love it. I am fairly new to the experience and your channel is so simple to follow. thanks for all your hard work that you put into your video's and thanks for sharing with the world.
Teasted toe cakes are my favourite! Yes, I know, that's what I have called them for years. I make my own bread, scones and Chelsea (cinnamon) buns, but never thought about making tea cakes til now. Definitely on my list of must tries! Thanks for another perfect demo, Titli!
You are amazing.. The best tips with your recipes and also how to enjoy or the best way to eat them. It helps a great deal for people like me who have never heard about them before
You have such a lovely voice. I just discovered your channel and am binge watching them because they are so delightful. Looks like I'm going to have to stock up on bread flour and yeast! Can't wait to try out some of these recipes.
HELLO :) Happy Holidays. I have been watching your channels for a while now and I can't help to think of you when I run across bread recipes. I saw this one once called ice cream bread, I would make it but in my pregnancy ice cream rarely makes it anywhere but directly into my mouth rather than baking it :) I figure it may be a bread you may like to attempt for us, Thank you for the videos! Happy New Year!
My Mom's from England and she made the tea cakes just exactly the same as you . My wife was given the recipe from the family , but it was to hard to understand you know a pinch of this and a pinch of that . My wife watch your video and they were just like my mother's . Thank You
Thanks for the recipe Titili I've just made these and they are delicious. Toasted with butter and jam. Next time though I will use all purpose flour for maybe a lighter texture. Your crumpets are great too. I've always liked a crumpet but hadn't had one for years here in Thailand. Keep the videos going.
All purpose flour ( plain flour ) has not got enough protein in it for bread and that is what this is a enriched bread dough.. why do Americans always think they know better.. 🙄
Thank you, be making these with my daughter soon. All the ones in the supermarket just tast like hot cross buns without the cross, we've taken to calling them Not cross buns.
A local bakery chain makes a large teacake with flatter and softer top and a smaller teacake with a glazed crusty top. For lent, these are replaced by a hot cross bun. However, the added spices in the hot cross buns always give me indigestion, so until Easter is over and done with I have to stock up regular teacakes and freeze them. But since Covid-19, I have been experimenting with teacake recipes found on youtube. I'm still in pursuit of perfection so I'll try this recipe next. For anyone who has never baked anything bready before, sweet bread like this is a great place to start. Whatever goes in the oven almost never collapses and whatever comes out of the oven will be edible. Halve the quantities for your first go and set timers on your phones or digital devices to give guidance as to when you should be thinking about the next stage in the recipe.
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I somehow forgot the account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
These remind me of what we in Poland call "turkish bread": yeast-risen buns with lots of raisins, treacle, milk, butter and roasted grain coffee (Inka).
Hey Titli! Some time, you should make some real Danish "rugbrød". It takes some time if you want the authentic versions, but there are recipes out there that doesn't require 24 hours of baking!
I don't think making a plethora of channels is a very good idea. I think bread making is distinct enough from general cooking to warrant its own channel, but baking cakes... I would include it either in this channel or the cooking channel, but it's up to you of course ! The tea cake sounds delicious by the way, I always thought I was the only one to eat cheese on sweet breads/cakes like these haha
You are an artist exceptional . Take no notice of the Trolls . Their own lives are so miserable and they cannot find the energy or drive to change it , that they get their kicks by rubbishing everything and anything . Disregard them They are worthless They are low life They are ignorant Most are mainly illiterate Most have no concept of humanity Most have little to no concept of anything . Understand that most are not worthy of your spit Carry on as you are . We who understand support you
So, they look like baked English Muffins! I just made some English Muffin Bread dough with Baking Soda and Cider Vinegar added. The loaves are single rising in the pans right now. No real kneading!
+Sean Furlong I'm not a fan of milk glazes either. Try a glaze made of one egg yolk and a generous pinch of salt. Whisk the two together, then let it sit for 5 minutes. This should give a rich colour to the cakes. It is also the case that one can pop the cakes under a hot grill for 15 seconds or so in a pinch, but one needs to be careful not to burn them.
I live on my own as Im not very nice, but give me a woman that can make a cup of tea and a nice tea cake and i'll sell me soul....I always wanted to marry an librarian...and she dont half look like a librarian to me...mmmm librarian t cakes..cup o tea. mmmmmm. fab video..I could be in love here.
Omg it might be a good recipe and she does seem a very nice person but sorry, that voice just grates. It's the mix of high and low tones all in one word. No, just no
New Recipes please Titli. BTW, your Tea Cakes were Scrumptious. Thank you.
Greetings from Austria, hope you are doing well and wish you would start making videos again, you were doing a marvellous job!
Yes, I would love to see Titli get stuck in again. She was FAB...

Another winner Titli!! I swear you could make dishwater tasty! All the best, Tom
That's a Currant T-Cake . A T-cake has no currants and is used for sandwiches . Thanks for the video 😊 very easy to watch and understand .
No it’s NOT a currant T Cake..it’s a TEA CAKE..and whatever YOU call it in the US it’s an ENGLISH Tea cake
I'm glad you created this channel, Titli :3 I love making bread, especially sweet breads like this one.
These look just wonderful! I bet they taste wonderful too. I may give these a try. Thanks so much!

Thank you very match
I wonder if this could be made into one loaf of bread... I bet it would taste delicious, sliced and toasted.
Can you make Welsh Cakes?
Can i use a mixture of mixed peel and raisins? Whats the difference between these and hot cross buns recipe?
Hey! Is it possible you could make a tutorial on scones? X
Can I use plain flour instead?
why not put the sultanas in with the wet mixture? Seemed a lot of bother mixing them into the dough.
How look did it take you to make the teacakes?
Will try these over the weekend. Thank you Titli!
Any chance of a recipe for pretzels?
Good luck with the Bread Kitchen channel :)
if I don't have milk, can I use a yogurt mixture or butter and water?
A fairly old post now, but is this mixture similar to a fruit loaf, which can also be toasted ?
Wouldn't it be easier to mix the dried fruit into the dry ingredients instead of kneading the dough into the dried fruit?
What can you replace raisins with? One family member does not like raisins, I would rather use something else instead. But what?
These remind me of what we in Poland call "turkish bread": yeast-risen buns with lots of raisins, treacle, milk, butter and roasted grain coffee (Inka).

What are sultanas?
Titli, you knead dough for bread. Just thought I would let you know.

Fabulous recipe! Can we freeze these when they've cooled down? x
Of course you can :)
ooooo teacakes :) gotta make some.

Despite this not being a cake anyway, are you going to cover cake baking on this channel as well? Or will it remain within the Busy Kitchen channel?
Made these and in the oven. 😁
So, they look like baked English Muffins! I just made some English Muffin Bread dough with Baking Soda and Cider Vinegar added. The loaves are single rising in the pans right now. No real kneading!
You forgot the currents.
I learned what a sultana is today.
My teacakes didn't brown very well even with the milk glaze.

"strong" white flour? 0 o 0
WAIT!!! Titli's Totally Tasty Toasted Teacakes aren't cakes??? *head explodes*
Thanks titli, I LOVE YOU!!!

Imma put chocolate chips.
Bullshit tea cakes don't have fruit in them..
i broke your satanic number of views.
Omg it might be a good recipe and she does seem a very nice person but sorry, that voice just grates. It's the mix of high and low tones all in one word. No, just no
Why does her voice remind me of my voice cracks?
