    1980s年代爬過這裡
    當時沒什麼路,一片漆黑,蔓草叢生
    半夜到達李棟山莊,老榮民開的門,感謝他收留了我們
    以前古堡邊沒有那些樹,所以這裡是一個很好的眺望點
    旁邊各個山頭都一目瞭然!

    Indigenous made sausages are brilliant!! love it ! and looks like rain really heavy when you picked up the sausages

    Nice to be able to follow u to "see" a place that I always wanted to visit. Doubt I can walk that far though due to my leg injury... I hv not even been to most of the places u had documented in Singapore! 😫😫😫

    我去爬山的時候,口罩都是帶一半,把鼻子露出來,等到有外人接近時,才會拉上來蓋到鼻子
    然後等外人閃過身後,就又會把口罩拉到下巴.
    新竹往南到苗栗縣又有好一大堆的山可以爬,而且是初級~中級~高級山都有.

    Nice walk Richard , i think i could tackle it with plenty of rest breaks . It would have been nice to have a weather report at the start of the walk to see how hot or cold it was as that tells us how strenuous the walk was if hot or muggy etc :-)

      Summer in Taiwan is actually hotter than Singapore. It was around 34 degrees at home, but up in the mountains it was mid 20s and very comfortable. First hike in a long time when I didn't need to change my shirt after finishing.

      Ha! We didn't have much to give him. My son fed him a few nuts, but the other people fed him lots of stuff. It was definitely worth it for him.

    Taiwan country side roadside store sausages and bamboo rice is yummy. I also stop by to buy during my drive around holiday there. Now start missed the trip there.

    Hi Richard
    So you climbed a short not too steep hill up to once a japanese fort.
    Nothing much to see at the fort.
    Just 4 walls and a old wall gate.
    At the end of your video.
    You and your son Everest were sitting inside your car eating some taiwan sausage and steamed bamboo rice.
    I think it was raining when you were having this snack.
    The sound of pitter patter can be heard on this video.

    Not bad, boy with SG mask. Went to the mountain 15 years ago by Grarnd Cherokee 4WD during heavy rain. Saw Senior and his boy 4* months ago in Bukit Timah Entrance started hiking. 😆

      Depends. We walked pretty slowly and spent about 30 minutes at the top. Probably around 2.5 hours

      I like both places, but hiking is definitely better in Taiwan as there is a lot of variety (and it's cooler!)
