May the magic of Seldom Scene never end!
Great band... been a fan since the 80's
I was first turned onto the Seldom Scene in about 1976-77, been hooked ever since…
One of the best bluegrass bands ever
Love yjat tune. Very inspiring
They can do no wrong. I love them
Still that Seldom Scene sound with no original members at all left in the band. One of the biggest draws in 70s and 80s and 90s at Berkshire mountain bluegrass festival, Winterhawk, and then Greyfox bluegrass Festival in New York, which is to resume in July of 2022
No original members, but similar parts if you will; a great tenor, a banjo player who can integrate Scruggs and melodic styles, slick dobro paying and a good vocal trio.
My father Lou joined this band when I was born in 1986. He wanted to get off the hard touring road life. He left the Ricky Skaggs band in 1986, and has been a member of the Seldom Scene on and off since then. Ronnie played in the Tony Rice Unit with his brother Rickie, Dudley with the Johnson Mountain Boys, etc. While you are correct in saying none of them are original members, these guys are far from a rookies!
@@seanpyrtle5603 As good of players - and singers - as they make!
Always been a Scene fan from the original but I have to say this bunch is great Lou & Dudley make this band meet them when they played a show in Williamson, W.Va !
Talented players, great vocals and wonderful interpretation. You guys should be proud!
Fred does some outstanding work on this number. Of course, Lou could sing the phonebook and I'd listen all day!
I never heard of these guys but they are really good. Great version of this song
They've been around since 1971. None of the original members is still with the band, but they're great nonetheless.
I had no idea County Sales was still in business. Happy to see they are. My late wife and I made a couple of visits years ago and bought a bunch of stuff - back before Amazon.
I love this interpretation. Excellent job guys!
I have "Seldom Scene at the Cellar Door" from the 70's? The only problem with it was some woman wanted to be on the record screaming at every quiet moment in between tracks! Sometimes I don't replay it because of her! Sorry....this was great to hear. 👍😁
yeah ,splendour. Greetings from Czech republic
Most excellent!
Just beautiful.x
Beautiful!
Awesome group of musicians!
👏👏👏👏👏 Ottimo

Loved it , great job❣
Outstanding!!
Love yall 💓...Sweet !
Wow 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
oooo yeahhhhh
Thnx for posting this song with one of the best bluegrassband’s ever. No one of the most seasoned members is present, but the soul is still there. Btw it is Ron Steward on the banjo? The Boxcars is one of my favorites as well..
Yes, Ron Stewart joined the band several years ago
Sadly, there's only one original member of the band who is still alive.
Excellent!
with some people.. you see their instruments and you know: they can play. :D
I actually like this mix over the studio version.
😊❤
Great Fred Neil song made famous by Harry Nilsson. Check out Fred Neil's original on RUclips.
SUPERB
que chingon, felicidades¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
They're good players - and some played with a couple of the original guys - but they are not the Seldom Scene (who are all dead).
Wrong - Tom Gray who was the original bass player is still alive.
@@seanmccormick3270 OK. One original is still living but I still don't consider the guys in the video to be the Seldom Scene.
Nice choice off tune!
I liked the original group better
RUDE COMMENT
They're not carbon copies of the original bad. They do a lot of older material but they have their own songs they've made their own.
The original group started in the early 70's...
Only 1 of the original members of the band, Tom Gray, is still living.
Great tune. I’ll be seeing these guys in a couple 3 weeks. Looking forward to it! 🪕
