    I'd love to see a good way to prompt it to generate a possible travel from place A to place B and lay it out kind of like this dungeon. Sometimes, especially early levels, traveling from point A to B is like a dungeon in and of itself. This would also finally make hexcrawls more appealing.
    Alternatively, a video on generating a "hex" or area of interest would be great. It would be like a dungeon but completely open and non-linear and with stuff like weather tables, plant and wildlife, points of interest, encounter tables, special rules (like the ones for extreme heat for example), etc.

    Thank you so much for your content. These chatgpt-prompts and explanations are amazing🤩 Can you do a video about magic items in chatgpt?I think this would be interesting as well😁

    I love using chat gpt for a variety of purposes. Two of my favorite are the following; Create a paragraph in second person that describes an precombat initial encounter with [monster goes here]. The second is when it gives me a magic item or spell that isn't canon to the setting. Convert [spell or magic item] to [system being used]. There are many more but these should give you an idea how to manipulate chat to your advantage.

    I've watched pretty much all of your whisky reviews and didn't know AT ALL you were into RPGs.
    I opened this video because I'm a DM interested in using AI to help but was only on audio first.
    Said to myself while I looked at screen "He just sounds like... WHAAAAT??!"

    I have more recently been embracing CGPT as a sounding board for ideas... it is almost like having someone to flex your creativity with! I have used it to create encounters for the evening and live in game to create that gem of info a character asked about, it works really well. Curiously two of the names in your NPC list there also turned up in the list I created a couple weeks ago... I wonder how many of those named NPCs now exist in the worlds that we know nothing about!

    • @DungeonsAndDrams
      @DungeonsAndDrams  3 месяца назад

      I suspect A LOT as the names really don't vary much. I will often ask for a list of names so I can at least pick a lesser used one.

    i ve also got a tipp for you when creating descriptions. You might want to give chatgpt the rule to write as a certain author would. :)

    Would love to see you do a slightly longer video on a faction. Maybe a thieves guild or monster hunting guild (that hunts and harvests monster parts to supply markets).
    With some in depth Lore and backstory.

      It's much longer as I do it in real time, but the livestreams I did to make a jungle temple are a good followup to this

    What do you do if ChatGPT clearly makes mistakes? I.e. it could say that two rooms are connected while they are not or add a monster level that is not consistent with the location. You can point to it's errors and it will correct it, but clearly it makes you spend more and more time proofreading the map and checking out the steep parts.

    • @DungeonsAndDrams
      @DungeonsAndDrams  3 месяца назад

      Thats exactly what I do. My goal in using this isn't to have all the work done for me, it's to work as a kind of sounding board or inspiration.
      When it does make mistakes like this, I usually tell it that it was wrong and it'll go back through the whole dungeon and rethink the layout. It's done pretty well at that
