Prowl is my favorite transformer (with Jazz and Soundwave as close runner-ups) and I just got this toy as a birthday gift! My first transformer toy. So happy right now! Thanks for the video. I don't think I could have transformed him without you :)
its a sad fact that we will most likley NEVER see an offical mp jazz as the whole piont of the series is to have show and g1 accurate alt modes and porsche have REFUSED to give has / tak permission to use that alt mode design as they have said they dont want their products associated with an "alien robot war" [wtf,its a bit late for that now] and i cant see them has / tak making 1 with a different alt mode [defeats the whole purpose imo].having said that porsche and volkswagon are now merged into 1 company and vw gave permission to use the bug / bettle mode,hence mp bumblebee so you never know

The shoulder cannons were originally wire guided missiles from memory, so that's quite a change from the original spec, but he does look fantastic, and he was one of my favorites, and I actually broke mine as a child, so this one is tempting me sorely if it's still available!
Just got the KO version of this (I cant afford a proper MP sadly, and its mainly for display in robot mode anyway), and yeah I agree, fiddly as hell to Transform the legs. Mine was pretty hard to transform too as the joints were stiff and it obviously had never been transformed out of vehicle mode, so had a hard time getting the back windows to split to form the feet >.
i hope u did not rush ur recovery to do this for us but still its awesome to see u doin reviews again. if u needa take time for recovery take your time the videos can wait health is more important.GWS optibotimus
from what i remember Paul mentioned that they won't do a Masterpiece Bumblebee cause VW doesn't want their licensed products to be affiliated with war type characters which is why they used the Camero for the live movies.
Wow what an amazing figure now his in my hand, I can't believe how small they are I don't know why I was expecting anything bigger, but a great figure none the less
The best of the Nissans(straight out of the package). Something striking about it on the shelf with its color scheme and face sculpt. Blue streak/streak is second but smoke screen with the label set from China(not reprolabels) looks really great, wish it had a better head sculpt though.

Just got him today, although I was unhappy on the delivery. "PACKAGE" said the delivery man, then just dumped the package on the ground in front of my door. No scanning of Tracking Number to say it was delivered, no handing of the package to the recipient. Anyone could have picked up the package if I was not home. He is now happy standing next to LAMBOR (Sideswipe), watching for Decepticreeps!

I'm wondering if you guys get a kickback or something? Sorry if that's too personal or something, I'm just wondering why so many people buy from there when their prices all seem to be so crazy high? Do they do special discounts or something that I'm not aware of? Because everything I've looked at there can be found elsewhere for much less. For example, Prowl is almost $90 shipped on BBTS, and only $65 shipped on ebay. ...just curious.

prowl's a legendary prick in the comics, and his figure having a slightly prickish transformation makes sense. Great MP, great video, made me want to buy it. He really looks like the G1 show, toy, and a bit like the comic as well. Excellent review!
Got this a couple weeks ago. The TRU excluisive Hasbro release one. Great figure. And I agree with you on his Hollow Legs. UGH! Also I feel like I'm gonna break off his chest section though when trying to bend it out straight seperating that tab from the slot inside when transforming him back to Vehicle mode.
I pretty much agree with the complaints you have but the one id like to add is the lack of points/tips on his wings/doors like on the cartoon. Always thought that added a lil something to his look.
Since I am usually of limited funds for MP figs...I am only getting one version of this mold, Smokescreen, since his car mode is my favorite of the 3...plus I always liked him more than Prowl and Bluestreak :)
I've got two of these , one had bad qc issues the other had zero and he is a perfect figure best transformer figure in my opinion to date out of the entire toy line well that an mp10
Great video, in your mp sideswipe video you had mentioned you heard that he wasn't coming to the US via Hasbro. Obviously he never came over have you heard anything either way regarding prowl? Reason I'm asking is if I can wait for a us release and spend a little less all the better.

can anybody please help me? when i'm trying to transform prowl into his vehicle mode his head won't go through the hole, and i feel like i'm going to break it if i force it forward to go through the gap. but the little things are in the way and the head won't go through.
i think that they would just have to downsize the original mp megatron and that would be it mirage it would be great but i think you are right and jazz is the more must have for the autobot fans and btw have you heard that takara might do a new cartoon accurate mp ultra magnus
Nice review, man. Prowl's looking good. I liked seeing him next to Sideswipe and Prime (though seeing Prime with Autobot symbols on BOTH shoulders still kinda annoys me). The white paint job on him really stands on well in this video. And I am glad that you got him rolling without any scraping. That could get very annoying ala Hot Rod.

You can actually extend the shoulder cannons to get a better look. The silver inside is actually the pin for the extension.

I picked up this version of MP-17 Prowl about a week ago.
My Prowl arrived today. A brilliant figure, I'll be buying the Dr Wu launchers to make him look even better.

Those hollow legs bug the hell out of me too. Before release I only saw it from the front, and it looked better than sideswipe.

It took me a long time to realize his shoulder cannons extend out. Hence the silver pins inside the cannons.
Shoulder cannons actually extend/telescope out and click, making this feature even more awesome! Just saying...

My Prowl doesn't roll at all!! front wheels won't move on any surface, but I still love this figure!

personally i have always gravitated towards
smokescreen when selecting a figure of this body type.
