"White Rabbit" is an iconic song originally performed by Jefferson Airplane, and Joe Hawley's cover of it is truly a masterpiece. The song is known for its psychedelic sound and trippy lyrics that transport listeners into an alternate reality. Hawley's rendition captures the essence of the original while infusing it with his unique style, making it an unforgettable listening experience. Hawley's version of "White Rabbit" is characterized by its hauntingly beautiful melody and the way he delivers the lyrics with raw emotion. He doesn't just sing the song; he becomes the song, conveying the message of the lyrics with such power and conviction that it's impossible not to be moved by it. One of the reasons why Hawley's cover of "White Rabbit" is so great is because of the way he manages to balance the familiar with the new. He pays homage to the original by including the same lyrics and melody, but at the same time, he puts his own spin on it by infusing it with his unique style. This results in a fresh and exciting take on the classic song that manages to capture its essence while also breathing new life into it. Another reason why Hawley's version of "White Rabbit" is so fantastic is the way he incorporates different musical elements into the song. The use of electronic instruments, combined with Hawley's soulful voice, creates a mesmerizing soundscape that draws listeners in and keeps them hooked until the very end. Overall, Joe Hawley's cover of "White Rabbit" is a phenomenal piece of music that showcases his talent and creativity. It's a fantastic tribute to the original while also being a standalone masterpiece in its own right. Hawley's ability to capture the essence of the original while infusing it with his unique style is truly remarkable, and it's why his version of "White Rabbit" is a must-listen for anyone who appreciates great music. PS: this truly is a fantastic cover by the Hawl.
I always forget how incredible this song is just cause it’s not on Apple Music so I almost never listen to it but it’s so dang good. Great cover by the Hawl.

@@aboi78 I'm not filled in on the whole story of tally hall and Joe hawley. Why did he have to reverse stuff? Where is everyone now? Anywhere I can get the whole picture?
@@tycho25 I'm not great at explaining, but I'll try my best. You see, for nearly all of his songs on this album, he used a lot of samples illegally, as they were meant to be just placeholders. Something happened, he wasn't able to take them out, album gets released, lots of legal troubles, and he had to release the album in reverse to avoid even more. I don't know the full story, just that he wasn't able to remove some illegal song samples. Now, about Tally Hall overall, I know that Ross is a scientist, Zubin is a doctor, Rob works for Disney JR., and I think Andrew is a producer. I have no idea what Joe does, though some posts on his Instagram hint to the fact that he may become a music teacher. So, as you can tell, they're pretty split up. Rob and Zubin are also apparently pretty hard to contact, too, compared to the other band members who are all active on social media. They did recently hit 1 million listeners on Spotify though, and Andrew basically said that new merch was going to be released in 2021. So.. *maybe* there's a chance of a reunion somewhere in the distant future. It's unlikely (especially with how they all have their own lives and families, Joe drama, etc) but I really hope so.
ive never felt more uncomfortable while on RUclips . from the song being trippy to the cover of the album , then the comment section , and just joe hawley makes me feel weird to think about . amazing cover by the Hawl
oh wow I had no idea he did a cover! Makes perfect sense though. I will say, I wish he did a straight-up cover without remixing/sampling the vocal clips from the original. Would love to hear a full-on Joe Hawley rendition.
I love this song a lot -- Random but my favorite part is the everlasting drum in the background it reminds me of a drum that stimulates the energy of a soldier. I wish Joe Hawley would make an Edgar Allen Poe-related song.. That'd be interesting
absolute slapper of a cover from our boy the hawl honestly the sound of this fits the vibes of the lyrics even more than the original...i still adore the original version but this sounds so dreamlike and unsettling i just hhhhhh
