Amazing to see your nut trees finally beginning to show some substantial size from when they were first planted. Yes, weather turbulence as transition of climate. A big part of the solution will be massive afforestation in areas where temperate mega-forests should be growing and likewise with tropical forests. The UN and higher need to get on to this because it's several hundred years worth of planning.

Is a keyline-plough essential for creating as nice pastures as you have or is it just at help? I will not be able to run a keyline but I will be able to run the animals in the “correct” way. Will I eventually end up with as nice pastures as you have?
Its not essential but its speeds things along greatly if you have very heavy soil or soil with a hardpan from historic tillage and farm implement use. lack of gas exchange is a common bottleneck that keeps microbes from thriving.
@permapasturesfarm make some bone sauce to help repel deer if that's a solution. Although I know you like to hunt during hunting season so maybe not ideal!
The well known UK environmental campaigner, George Monbiot, who thinks that agriculture is the greatest mistake that humanity has ever made, would benefit from spending time at Ridgedale and seeing what you describe as “eco engineering” can achieve.

Take a dump and wee by the entrances and the deer will be gone. Or get a motion activated sprinkler. Makes for some great video.

Absolutely amazing here in America if you need a tractor because of gas $250 just to move it. Also have a pond for my garden on my land 6 Acres
