Richard thanks for sharing ur wisdom as always! Have you tried doing a Dry Brine instead of a wet one? Just sprinkle salt on the surface and leave uncovered in your refrigerator for 24hr. You’ll get a much crispier result! Peace and love from MN

How much can one learn about market gardening during a week? It best to do a full Season / 6-month cycle to learn the ropes?
Amazing to see your nut trees finally beginning to show some substantial size from when they were first planted.
Yes, weather turbulence as transition of climate. A big part of the solution will be massive afforestation in areas where temperate mega-forests should be growing and likewise with tropical forests. The UN and higher need to get on to this because it's several hundred years worth of planning.

The well known UK environmental campaigner, George Monbiot, who thinks that agriculture is the greatest mistake that humanity has ever made, would benefit from spending time at Ridgedale and seeing what you describe as “eco engineering” can achieve.

Absolutely amazing here in America if you need a tractor because of gas $250 just to move it. Also have a pond for my garden on my land 6 Acres
Great update. So how do you intend to maintain the gains you've made in the health of your paddocks if you are homesteading and not running larger herds of animals in the future? What's the longer term plan?

Where did you import the feed from? Obviously the birds and pigs don’t just eat grass. How is the sustainability balance if you factor in this feed? Or are you robbing Peter ( another farm) to pay Paul ( increase fertility on your farm)?
@@jardinseducatifs2230 Animals only eat Grains when it's their final weeks right before slaughter. And in that final stage they also stay locked. What's the matter?

GEO-Engineering is a problem EVERYWHERE! I see it here in the states everyday.
@permapasturesfarm make some bone sauce to help repel deer if that's a solution. Although I know you like to hunt during hunting season so maybe not ideal!

Is a keyline-plough essential for creating as nice pastures as you have or is it just at help? I will not be able to run a keyline but I will be able to run the animals in the “correct” way. Will I eventually end up with as nice pastures as you have?
Its not essential but its speeds things along greatly if you have very heavy soil or soil with a hardpan from historic tillage and farm implement use. lack of gas exchange is a common bottleneck that keeps microbes from thriving.
