I absolutely don't deserve anyone better. I don't pursue or look for relationships because nobody deserves to have the crushing awfulness of being in a relationship with me.
You deserve better. This means he/she knows that she isn't worthy of you as even a human being. This is very very rare that guys/gals admit their wrongs and need to work on the mentality he/she has. [Especially gals that are actually prove to not admit their wrongs more than guys] She knows he/she messed up and would either work it out with you or wouldn't even dare try a second chance with you.
This happened to me. She didn’t try and date another guy, she didn’t even want to go out with her friends after the breakup neither! I picked it up pretty quickly that she told me this because she somehow feels inadequate in our relationship. I never once made her say or do anything that she didn’t want to. I was growing with her because it was her first, and my first, relationship. I just want to reach to her again one day and reassure her she’s more than good enough for me.
