Really sad about the AMG’s announcement cancelling X-Wing. I only got into it in the AMG era during the holidays last year, but I found this video and really loved it. You guys had great energy and really communicated the joy of the game. Just revisiting it now for a rewatch. I hope one day you guys get Alex back for a casual match! 2.0E, 2.5E, whatever!
Man, I don't even know how many times I watched it - 50 maybe? It is so much fun to see them playing, relaxed and enjoying every minute of it. Love it!
I'm so stoked for this, i've been waiting for a refresh for x wing for quite a long while. This really seems like took a lot of work and planning from ffg.
Team covenant is THE place for all things non-MTG, I am really amazed by the production values and how quick you guys are to report all the new good stuff.
The flying together aspect of compressing PS (now Initiative) is an interesting one I hadn't considered. But ultimately I feel like the only Init that will matter will just be the highest and the lowest just like it was before.
PerfectJayDread Where it helps is you will have more ships that are the same PS making flying them together much easier. I used to have a really difficult time making a squad of all 7s or 8s because ships I wanted to fly didn't have pilots of that skill level
I love how that U-wing just spun in circles, was never hit until the end (and that was only shields lost), and just went disco lasers on shooting because of that spinning.
So cool to see this, and is definitely a welcome change. Really pleased to see you guys at the forefront of bringing us this news first, with such high quality too!
I love how Benthic took a red coordinate to give Jek a focus, when he could have taken two focuses and given one to Jek with no stress and less risk at 1:47:30
Why would I pay $50 for a kit that does not include any ships? As far as I can tell they are holding their customers that want new X-Wing hostage for a re-buy.
I am so excited for 2.0. I can wait to start playing again. I've still been collecting everything but I have not played since the TIE Silencer came out.
I play a community-made story-based co-op with my friends, instead of the pvp tourny stuff. Much more fun, it's like playing a tabletop RPG. Would be great if this style of play was incorporated into the base game from the maker.
SR Forrester I imagine someone plays like a DM, making decisions and squads and encounters with a mind towards what's fun to play against, and not just what wins. Either that, or it's team v. team with an evolving narrative based on who wins each battle.
Grindstone just think, maybe you can even design custom legalities and point costs, then create something that uses it, upload it, and all your players can access it in-app. Wouldn't that be so freakin awesome?
Stopped playing Xwing about very 18 months ago after being in from wave 1. Became a game bogged down in masses of errata and too much rule interpretation rather than being a joy to fly awesome Star Wars ships around making pew pew noises. All started going south with TLT in wave 7 imo. 2.0 has me really excited to get back into the game though. Fixes that aren't locked up in epic ship expansions, more streamlined phases with less trigger chains, bullseye arcs on all ships, barrel rolling Xwings.... Bring it on, even if it does mean binning piles of cardboard and possibly having to rebuy new 3rd party plastic tokens.
I have one question to all people complaining about the price to upgrade ALL ships: where is your loyalty? Why do you want to play EVERY faction? The setting of the game is so deep and rich with lore, it always was about choosing your side. Be a proud representative of your faction and stop being unprincipled consumer. Even FFG stimulates that in Second Edition by putting all the upgrades you need in your Faction ships. I always felt sorry for people who play Rebels this week and Imperials the next week - they are missing the whole point and an emotional experience.
Thanks for the video on x-wing miniatures 2.0! It helped me out so much for making strategies in the game and also helped me know what to do in difficult situations. I also got better at maneuvers in this game. Thank you!🙂
Some interesting things cropping up in this ed, should be fun to get started with it, love the animated profiles of the ships on the sides showing who's got what and what they loose.
I don't get most of the whining. Couple hundred dollars to keep playing (not to mention you can stage it out and just upgrade one faction at launch, $90, then others later) and that's considered BS and "nope, I quit!" Yet if the game continued on as is, you'd spend several hundred dollars to keep up AND we'd still have to deal with buying non faction ships to get upgrade cards we need. "Great, that single upgrade card just cost me $20." THAT'S what turns me off now. But in 2nd Edition you'll get all the cards you need via your faction products. So no more unnecessary purchases. I'm OK with that. $90 and I have EVERYTHING I need to play, and going forward I only ever have to buy my faction's ships to have everything I need. Yup, I'm going to welcome myself back to X Wing after a long hiatus due to how expensive it currently is having to buy everything whether you want it or not. Thank you FFG.
Rexler Brath point well taken. I’m a scum only player so very much in that boat. It’s not just damage cards though. There is the issue of new move templates, which I’m calling BS on that need too. Overall, despite some issues with the implementation, I’m looking forward to this change.
Well, to upgrade my TIE swarm, I need to buy 100$ worth of upgrade packs, with giving me a bunch of cards me and most players will never need. Or does anyone run 6 Decimators at the same time? At that point it might get interesting, especially for players with smaller collections, to actually re-buy parts of their collection rather than getting the upgrade sets.
Assuming they continue to print the upgrade kits into the future. They've made no guarantees these will always be available. So staging out 5 upgrade kits minimum (for me) may take longer than they are around.
Rexler Brath agreed. Looks like there's even really only a need for a hash mark in the center. It seems like the line down the middle of the others is to aid aligning bumps.
This video sold the game to me. I've bought myself 6 ships already, not even ones that could really be a list just some of my favorites. Really liking all of this and looking forward to having this as a hobby as opposed to something like MTG where you always have to stay on top of buying new random crap to keep playing at home you can just buy your favorite ships for a really reasonable price and have fun playing them for ever.
So, few mistakes? Extra 1 extra dice should be for defender at range 3 and another for shooting through obstruction. Then towards the end I notices initiative 3 ships moving before the rebel initiative 2, that can make a difference!!
I've been beating the drum for an official squadbuilder forever - awesome! I feel like they missed an opportunity to ditch cards entirely though. I'm OK with buying upgrade kits IF they come with a new damage deck and tokens. I absolutely do not need a 6th core.
Well, we can always upgrade the movement tools with 3rd party acrylic but yeah, those damage decks really need to be found in those $50 boxes. Everyone having to buy a new core isn't okay.
Unfortunately, we won’t be getting a damage deck in the upgrade kits. V2 is basically a new game were we get to reuse our ships with the commodity of getting tons of cards for “mere” 50 dlls. That ain’t much considering that each new ship is between 20-30 dlls... I’m in a bit of pain too but I welcome the change.
Rexler Brath you can proxy everything for sure. FFG says that you need to get the core deck most probably because of the damage deck, templates and tokens
In the engagement beginning at 01:25:30 why didn't captain feroph ever engage edrio right in front of him? Seems like a wasted turn but I'm new so maybe I'm not understanding something?
Guys the conversion kits contain all upgrades, Pilots, new stuff for every faction. It's cheap because u don't have to buy expansions to get singular upgrade cards anymore. It's your opinion if it expensive, i think its reasonable for all you get for every faction.
I don't see $50 value in these kits. Just seems like they are trying to make players re-buy all of their old material to get some new art and cards that use different words. I am done.
I have some 2nd edition stuff and want to get the big rebel transport, but you can only get first edition version. Do I have to buy the whole big conversion pack just for this, or is there an easier way?
After watching the playthrough, I'm excited for this change for X-wing. I am, however, not a fan of the extra cardboard Fantasy Flight is throwing at us.
One thing Fantasy Flight does right is reboots. They did it well with Descent and they did it amazingly with Mansions of Madness. This looks like it might be even better. Games need to be refreshed. It's a fact. Also the weight of X-Wing is real :P
Also the production value of your video here was great. AND somehow you are the only channel with real news about this beyond the website. So kudos to you guys; great job!
Thanks for clarifying. I figured out the action symbol and primary turret weapon symbols when I watched FFG’s full ‘X-Wing 2.0 - Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit Unboxing’ last night (the last one I watched of the 3 factions and the one with the most turrets incl the Y-wing upgrade lol) Here’s what I transcribed paraphrasing: Alex called it a Double Arc Primary Turret Weapon. The ship card symbol represents turrets on top and bottom of a ship and it fires 180 deg mobile coverage so no ship has a 360 deg coverage field of fire anymore (Frank pointed out to me in an email once explaining the Outrider there is no 360 deg ‘arc’ in the game) but basically you can fire right and left or forward and aft ship base quadrant wedge arcs when you turn the turret. I assume you roll attack dice to fire one direction then the defender rolls then you resolve damage. then repeat for the other direction one right after the other since they’re attacking two different ships? They show the punch board piece at 23:40 how it points to two opposite quadrants of coverage. I don’t think they have the big circle arrow on the base anymore(?) they didn’t show a lot of cardboard Also the proverbial donut hole in which 1.0 couldn’t attack at range 1 on the YT-2400 2.0 it now has a title built in called Sensor Blindspot it effectively has half attack instead of no attack. They really toned down, drew in, nerfed, streamlined, chained popular actions to stress and weapon capabilities and character abilities and added titles built in to the ship and upgrade cards for a lot of capabilities overall is what I’ve learned from yours and FFG’s videos. I can definitely see how it puts a premium on planning and maneuvering to set up combat ie. destroying ships as a squad better. Bottom line is they learned from and reined in the competitive meta mayhem they unintentionally I assume created is the upside. Now let’s see how competitive meta min max players corrupt this 2.0 system. I know they’re up to the task already. I say that half jokingly. This coming from a person whose collected X-w, not played much, never competitive, no missions yet, no heroes of the atrui cluster, but figured out how to play it solo without charts or rolling dice just play each ship to win that turn, but learned a lot about it from TC and other channels, blogs, flipperoverlord’s X-wing for Beginners PDF on FFG forums, video batreps and yet another squad builder. unfortunately a double edge sword. learn from, be frustrated, confused, suffocated by the competitive meta and the number of cards in the game. probably because I min-max in D&D when I played it so I would do the same ; ) One thing to note is I think FFG did a fantastic job of capturing the Star Wars movie canon and EU theme & mechanics and not repeating them on any two cards. Time will tell if that translates to 2.0. Long post. But I do that when I’m interested in figuring something out ; MTFBWY ruclips.net/video/3TxiyKlHeSU/видео.html
Question: In First Edition a ship cannot take the same action twice in one activation. In Second Edition, some actions are linked. Could a ship with Focus>Boost take their linked Focus action, Boost, then clear stress (as demonstrated in the video), and use their normal Boost action?
How do you know which upgrades you can equip to a ship? You have upgrades on your ships but there's nothing on the pilot cards that shows what upgrades they can take.
The upgrade slots and point costs for each ship are listed in the app/website when building a list. The reason for doing so is to allow upgrade slots and point costs to be updated in the future without reprinting cardboard / issuing errata.
Range and movement sticks need to be longer. That's 3/4 of table wasted or, adjust the point system to allow MORE ships. More ships would probably be an issue given the crowded nature of the game.
are saw's renigades considered their own faction or are they part of the rebels? if they are still rebels then can't jek still get the benefit of tubes?
How many focus tokens/evade tokens can each ship have at one time? In the starter edition it made it sound like you could have any amount which sounds crazy to me so my friends and I agreed to a maximum of two for each ship. Did I read the rules wrong or....?
only playing EU characters from now on. selling or giving away any Disney canon material. oh legitimate question: When you play a 75 minute game at a tournament, does the time start before you set down obstacles, or do you start the timer when you first pick up your dials?
How exactly is barrel rolling different now? It was talked about in a roundabout way but not directly. Is it just from the center of the base and straight across? I thought that was the case but looked like he adjusted the Y-Wing on the far side of it's barrel roll before it got blown to smithereens.
When doing the first part of the barrel roll, you must align the line on the side of the ship with the line down the middle of the template. When doing the second part, you have three choices - align the line on the side of the ship with the middle of the template, align the back of the ship with the back of the template, or align the front of the ship with the front of the template. Basically, it is a much more rigid structure for executing the maneuver - rather than being able to put the template anywhere within the boundaries of the ship's side.
Great question, Sam! If you want to hit your opponents with an Ion Cannon, you will need to have them in whichever arc you have turned your mobile firing arc towards. We will also be covering turrets more fully in an upcoming video with co-designer Alex Davy!
@Team Convenant I have a question, I just started to watch this video again and was mentioned that the optimized prototype could be assigned to the TIE Reaper. but that is actually possible in 1.0 but in 2.0 you can't. since the card reads "to another friendly ship". that was confusing...
That is great news. What I can't figure out is if the rebel conversion kit will come with cards for Rey and all of them and if the Galactic conversion kit will come with the Tie/fo cards.
So a new damage deck. Does this mean the Force Awakens damage deck is done with after release? Or you think we'll get the option like before between the core and TFA core?
Sorry i didnt get it. Do I have to buy the conversion kit to make my x wing set valid, but i only have x wings, y wing, tie fighters and tie advanced. I have to buy BOTH of the conversion kit full of cards and tiles i wont use just for this ships?
I only have ONE question for 2nd edition. Why did a bunch of ships that where oversized for their base get moved to medium, yet the ONE ship that is UNDERSIZED for its base size not get moverd to medium? Why is the Aggresor still on a large base?
at 19:07 and forward i really love the fact that both of them put the entire range ruler in to check they clear the asteroids when its clearly defined in the rules that that is illegal -.- fail
That Y-Wing barrel roll at 33 minutes ... I thought that the new barrel roll has to be aligned with the white stripe on ship and template? Was that a mistake?
It looks to us like he corrected it and ended up going stripe to stripe, it is a rough camera angle to be that precise though. Either way, you are correct. The new barrel roll rule is center stripe to center stripe.
After knowing a bit more now I think it was correct. The barrel roll HAS to be center stripe to center stripe when putting the tool next to the ship, but when placing the ship on the other side of the tool, you have more than 1 option. (stripe to stripe again, stripe to front of ship, stripe to back of ship if I got it right?)
Man I just bought two original starter sets, and a few expansions, and a mat like less than 20 days; last order came in just last week! And just like that it's outdated and needs an upgrade? Ugh... Shouldn't they have purged the old first? I get it, I still have a game but I could have bought the new one. 2xUgh!
Well this was just announced and won't be out until Sept. Sadly the real kicker is, those old starter sets will be fire sold in the fall. The other old stuff I expect to see around for a long time until all the old ships get an update, which will take a couple of years probably. Until then, conversion kits....
ASOTdemente no, all my pilot cards and upgrade cards (the real reason i bought so much so fast) will be obsolete... im well aware the plastic is reusable, but all my paper and cardboard is now junk.
Online vendors will be 39.99 day one which is the max FFG will allow them to be discounted 20%, if cost is a major concern over support your LGS then don't feel bad to buy online to save money. I wonder if FFG will wave the discount level for the old sets as all the cardboard in them except the ship is worthless now. It will help stores get rid of the inventory they are holding.
Then it was Deliberate! Zach just swept the base away with his tie base before checking for collision. I'm sure he was thinking, "Out of my way, Rebel scum!" as he did it too.
Great video. Was worried about second edition making my extensive Rebel collection worthless, but while a bit pricey the conversion kit is pretty decent and I love some of the mechanic changes. Feel for the guys who have all three factions though, that’s a lot of cash to switch to second edition. Perhaps do a “mega pack” of all conversion kits and the core set for a slightly reduced price for those who really invested in the game.
Well, those with larger collections are having to dish out some major dough to keep their ships up to date. 2 X-Wings in a kit is a slap in the face for many Rebel players. 4 TIEs but 3(!) Decimators in a box is just shoelace-eating insanity.
Mr. Pilgrim never said it was a perfect solution. I think they could definitely do a bit better with how many copies they have in the kit, however I’m just glad they haven’t gone full Games Workshop and made everything obsolete like Age of Sigmar did for fantasy Warhammer.
Well, so they only got second place in the "How to milk your loyal customers for even more shekels" category. It's funny though - other companies give you their rules for free if you can prove ownership of the previous edition (like Battlefront) and release free conversion documents... Yeah, I need to process this. Been getting messages from club members all day about 2.0 asking me if it was a joke (as if knew more than them). And so far, 6 out of 13 players outright told me that they're shelving the game so far (one of our more avid collectors is looking at 5 conversion packs for each faction at average).
Well, he has, for example, 12 X-Wings and 12 Y-Wings. That'll be - if he wants a full set of cards for every ship - 6 boxes. 300 bucks. He'd still end up with a bunch of total useless cards, though - full card sets for 12 YT-1300, for example. Just shows how stupid (from a player's standpoint) the makeup of the boxes is. Quite a few of us tend to have a tad larger collections. Around here we usually play at least 150 points, in general we tend to go to 250 because we love to play with the shiny toys the system gives us. Had a Battle of Yavin with the full complement of rebel ships (20 Xs, 7Ys, the Falcon) against a combined force of a ton of TIEs and Vader w/escorts - and every destroyed TIE just turned up on the table edge again in the next round, until the rebels managed to drop the torpedo right in the hole. Hilarity. But way out of the scope of the game, it tends to slog a lot once more than 12 ships are on the table ;)
Team Covenant Aaaaaaaaaaah! That explains a lot 👍🏼 The size seemed bigger than their regular playmats so yeah, the reason I couldn't find it 😏 Appreciated!
Hey was I missing something, shouldnt benthic have been able to pass those focuses to jek too? I assumed he didnt because the other 2 tubes gets the bonus, but then he did a coordinate and took a stress when he could have ended up unstressed with a focus, right?
he's talking about the time when he coordinated one which is counter to your argument. if he'd focused and passed one to porkins then porkins could have done a focus and had 2 tokens one to spend and one to cancel the ability and the u wing would have also had a focus instead of a stress. he just forgot man.
Simply, the price needs to be reasonable, the rules need to be tight, and ships/pilots need to be balanced. This game stopped being about cool space fighters a long while ago. FFG made some terrible decisions over the past couple of seasons. Can they make this simple, reasonably priced and good? or will it be too expensive and too complicated? What do you think?
Really sad about the AMG’s announcement cancelling X-Wing. I only got into it in the AMG era during the holidays last year, but I found this video and really loved it. It's good to see that green dice will still betray you in the new edition
Always!
Zach we all saw you bump that u wing
That is just classic X-Wing.
Y-Wing is my favorite starfighter from the original trilogy. Nice to see it gets some love in the redesign.
Make the Xwing great again!
This was great, and the two of you very charming and informative, I'd love to see more games
Thank you Louis!
I'm so stoked for this, i've been waiting for a refresh for x wing for quite a long while. This really seems like took a lot of work and planning from ffg.
Same! This finally will get me playing again. I haven't been this excited to play for such a long time.

@shawn hughes whole
Team covenant is THE place for all things non-MTG, I am really amazed by the production values and how quick you guys are to report all the new good stuff.
On the 'quick' part... I think FFG might brief them beforehand.
Thank you!
Every time I watch this I think "That Ywing barrel roll was a terrible idea."
Will you ever come back to X-WIng? Really enjoyed this video :)
Guys, thank you - really high quality production and fantastic to watch you both play and I learnt so much! Amazing
Thank you Stephen! Cheers.
Thanks for this. I'm so excited for the new
version
I don't know why, but I never picked up x-wing but I love armada. Now with the 2nd edition coming I think I'm gonna pick up
Is this game still going?
would love to have this overlay for videos and streams looks great and clean.
Good banter. Like the mid size bases.
Banter here is top quality, super nice to see friendly games like this shot and edited well with lots of room for it. Both of ya
Thanks for the kind words Richard! Cheers.

I love how Benthic took a red coordinate to give Jek a focus, when he could have taken two focuses and given one to Jek with no stress and less risk at 1:47:30
But that is just not how the Tube brothers roll!
Exactly, it wouldn't have been "tubular" to use his brotherly trick so soon after his brother's death.
Change is scary but once everyone gets their kits and starts playing I think the games new direction will become loved.
Thank you Sean, so do we!

How do you co-op this game? Is it 1 vs. All? I assume someone has to play the opposition.

I heard FFG was making 2.0 and was like "I'm out!" Then I saw it was backwards compatible and was like "Okay, I'm back in"
At $50 a faction- Keeps me OUT!
Thanks for the video on x-wing miniatures 2.0! It helped me out so much for making strategies in the game and also helped me know what to do in difficult situations. I also got better at maneuvers in this game. Thank you!🙂

1:06:40 why didn’t Zach do the linked actions? Barrel roll and red focus?

So, can someone explain how you'll know what upgrades you can have now, and how many points stuff will cost?
Point costs will be available via the FFG Squadbuilder app, which has yet to be released.
So, few mistakes? Extra 1 extra dice should be for defender at range 3 and another for shooting through obstruction. Then towards the end I notices initiative 3 ships moving before the rebel initiative 2, that can make a difference!!
I dont understand the move in the last round from Davie. Why not give double focus to the U Wing and spend one token to the X-Wing?
Next time we see him we will ask.
Your website no longer has X-Wing
So no focus token passing at 1:36:34 , not even to Jek? Why's that? It's not Two Tubes brothers exclusive, right?
Great content! What cameras do you guys use?
"It went from 60 Minutes all the way to Ninja Turtles..."
Glad this was a proper full point game and not a core set tutorial style one. Nice job, fun to watch.
Thanks Scott!
I'm really loving the ordnance changes, hopefully Rebels will get a lot more mileage out of that upgrade slot.
Oh.. I felt the pain when Stele got pwned.. 1:09:42
Which playing mat is this, does anyone know? I like the look of those stars!
So what is Range "0" - is that touching?
We believe so!
I've been beating the drum for an official squadbuilder forever - awesome! I feel like they missed an opportunity to ditch cards entirely though.
I'm OK with buying upgrade kits IF they come with a new damage deck and tokens. I absolutely do not need a 6th core.
manjr will need it! They said it in another interview. The x-wing’s fools open and close thou ;)
I understand that FFG wants me to buy another core - what I'm saying is that I have no use for another one.
How are squad points calculated in this version?
Guys the conversion kits contain all upgrades, Pilots, new stuff for every faction. It's cheap because u don't have to buy expansions to get singular upgrade cards anymore. It's your opinion if it expensive, i think its reasonable for all you get for every faction.
I don't see $50 value in these kits. Just seems like they are trying to make players re-buy all of their old material to get some new art and cards that use different words. I am done.
U-Wing looks pretty legit now!
why didn't they make a preorder damage deck for each faction?
I loved the "TWO BROTHERS" reference from Rick and Morty 😂
14:05
How did he cut himself off like that?
Editors, I see that mistake
i hope with the realease of 2nd edition you go back to some ship previews
Just came back to state thas squad points for that Rebels squad is 206, not legal upon 2.0 release
Thanks for the assist!
I have some 2nd edition stuff and want to get the big rebel transport, but you can only get first edition version. Do I have to buy the whole big conversion pack just for this, or is there an easier way?
Are the maneuver templates the same size as the old ones or are they larger? They look larger.
We are looking into it and will let you know when we do!
All signs point to the same size.
GerManticore how do you do the banks?
After watching the playthrough, I'm excited for this change for X-wing. I am, however, not a fan of the extra cardboard Fantasy Flight is throwing at us.
On the optimized prototype do you have to have a focus token in order to spend an eyeball dice?
Nope! Just spend a die that is on the eyeball side.
One thing Fantasy Flight does right is reboots. They did it well with Descent and they did it amazingly with Mansions of Madness. This looks like it might be even better. Games need to be refreshed. It's a fact. Also the weight of X-Wing is real :P
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Also the production value of your video here was great. AND somehow you are the only channel with real news about this beyond the website. So kudos to you guys; great job!
Now, instead of being able to expand my game all of the product I bought previously is useless. I won't make the change to 2.0.
Since the Y-wing didn’t attack. When do you get to turn a turret in a different direction during gameplay apart from the game setup?
A ship take a 'rotate action' to turn a turret to any other firing arc.
Thanks for clarifying. I figured out the action symbol and primary turret weapon symbols when I watched FFG’s full ‘X-Wing 2.0 - Rebel Alliance Conversion Kit Unboxing’ last night (the last one I watched of the 3 factions and the one with the most turrets incl the Y-wing upgrade lol)
Here’s what I transcribed paraphrasing:
Alex called it a Double Arc Primary Turret Weapon.
I don’t think they have the big circle arrow on the base anymore(?) they didn’t show a lot of cardboard
Also the proverbial donut hole in which 1.0 couldn’t attack at range 1 on the YT-2400 2.0 it now has a title built in called Sensor Blindspot it effectively has half attack instead of no attack.
This coming from a person whose collected X-w, not played much, never competitive, no missions yet, no heroes of the atrui cluster, but figured out how to play it solo without charts or rolling dice just play each ship to win that turn, but learned a lot about it from TC and other channels, blogs, flipperoverlord’s X-wing for Beginners PDF on FFG forums, video batreps and yet another squad builder.
unfortunately a double edge sword. learn from, be frustrated, confused, suffocated by the competitive meta and the number of cards in the game. probably because I min-max in D&D when I played it so I would do the same ; )
One thing to note is I think FFG did a fantastic job of capturing the Star Wars movie canon and EU theme & mechanics and not repeating them on any two cards. Time will tell if that translates to 2.0.
Long post. But I do that when I’m interested in figuring something out ;

ruclips.net/video/3TxiyKlHeSU/видео.html
We are really hoping they stick with what they said in the Hyperspace Report, paraphrasing, "Get back to flying, and to make it feel like Star Wars."
Is it just my imagination, or did they change up the shield/hull numbers on the X-wings and Y-wings?
Where is the Edrio two tubes before you activate mine says after
Okay I’m making the comment: Alex got his Tubes tied... apart from that I love the new edition tweaks!
What camera do you guys use for the overhead shot?
It is a Canon Camcorder!
What is the score at the end of the game and how count it ?
If you care about score you can count up surviving points. But this is a game to the death.
Will still buy 1.0 ships when 2.0 comes out? I am wanting to get into game
are saw's renigades considered their own faction or are they part of the rebels? if they are still rebels then can't jek still get the benefit of tubes?
How many focus tokens/evade tokens can each ship have at one time? In the starter edition it made it sound like you could have any amount which sounds crazy to me so my friends and I agreed to a maximum of two for each ship. Did I read the rules wrong or....?
Umm... time stamp 1:06:36. why is the number 5 on his hand??
It is an overlay to help identify ships.
So...are Australians and Kiwis going to get the short end of the stick, when this is released?
only playing EU characters from now on. selling or giving away any Disney canon material.
oh legitimate question: When you play a 75 minute game at a tournament, does the time start before you set down obstacles, or do you start the timer when you first pick up your dials?
Thanks!
Can you still shoot the turret out the primary and the mobile arc or just the mobile
Thanks for letting us know! We will look into it.
I must pay 1yellow Energy to attack torpedos or i pay it when i use ability?
I’ll be so thankful when the squad builder app comes out so you don’t have components all over the place
It is exciting! We are looking forward to seeing how squad builder can be used in OP!
shawn hughes
*full* Learn to spell, dude!
App doesn’t replace any components, you still have to put all the upgrade cards and tokens on the table, you will be disappointed.
Great video, as usual! You've got my 2.0 pre-order!
Do the medium bases come in the conversion kits?
Meeple Up indeed they are
That is great news. What I can't figure out is if the rebel conversion kit will come with cards for Rey and all of them and if the Galactic conversion kit will come with the Tie/fo cards.
Meeple Up Nah, they announced that the Resistance and First Order will be getting released as their own factions in wave 2 of 2.0
So a new damage deck.
I have to buy BOTH of the conversion kit full of cards and tiles i wont use just for this ships?
you can buy single ship conversion kits on ebay
I only have ONE question for 2nd edition. Why did a bunch of ships that where oversized for their base get moved to medium, yet the ONE ship that is UNDERSIZED for its base size not get moverd to medium? Why is the Aggresor still on a large base?
memnarch129 The Tir Aggressor is on a small base and should be on a small base.
at 19:07 and forward i really love the fact that both of them put the entire range ruler in to check they clear the asteroids when its clearly defined in the rules that that is illegal -.- fail
Until then, conversion kits....
me too, got into it for my B-Day this March.... already have almost all the expansions, and now.. OBSOLETE.
Morgan McGinnis not quite obsolete. There is money to be spent... and that sucks. But... the faction packs will make all your ships relevant
ASOTdemente
no, all my pilot cards and upgrade cards (the real reason i bought so much so fast) will be obsolete... im well aware the plastic is reusable, but all my paper and cardboard is now junk.
Morgan McGinnis it's still playable. Nobody forces you to play 2ed, you can play 1 ed, its in no way junk, also 2ed wont be out for few more months.
That Tie definitely bumped the U-wing when it did the bank maneuver
You caught us!
Then it was Deliberate! Zach just swept the base away with his tie base before checking for collision. I'm sure he was thinking, "Out of my way, Rebel scum!" as he did it too.
Am I right in thinking that the Reaper couldn't take a lock, so how do you use Krennick on it?
Daniel B look to the right on the upgrade cards. New actions for the ship granted by upgrades are shown there
Eric Green thanks, will do
Eric Green Ah yes I can see now, thanks
That is tough Mr. Pilgrim. 5 conversion kits for each faction is such a huge amount of ships. What a collection!
Anyone know about that playmat they're using? Awesome size and texture (not too much unnecessaryfuzz with stardust and planets and such)...
It is the official FFG Starfield!
Team Covenant Oh waw, didn't see it on their website but must've overlooked it ☺️ Thanks so much!!!
It is the special one they usually take to conventions - a big, sculpted thing. Incredibly fun to play on, but unfortunately not for sale.
Team Covenant Aaaaaaaaaaah! That explains a lot 👍🏼 The size seemed bigger than their regular playmats so yeah, the reason I couldn't find it 😏 Appreciated!
"Jek! Always thinks he can hold it. Can never hold it." bwahahaha...
Hey was I missing something, shouldnt benthic have been able to pass those focuses to jek too? I assumed he didnt because the other 2 tubes gets the bonus, but then he did a coordinate and took a stress when he could have ended up unstressed with a focus, right?
Having 2 focus tokens counters Ferophs ability if he needs to spend one on attack. It might have been a calculated measure not to pass a token.
he's talking about the time when he coordinated one which is counter to your argument. if he'd focused and passed one to porkins then porkins could have done a focus and had 2 tokens one to spend and one to cancel the ability and the u wing would have also had a focus instead of a stress. he just forgot man.
Will the version 1 game still out there or is it going to be retired?
Still technically out there, but no longer printed and no official support.
Proposed prices are ridiculous - worse than Games Workshop
konrad langhamer you must be joking.
What if you have multiple of the same ship??
We have gathered everything you need to know about X2, including the conversion kits and what to do if you have multiple ships here: goo.gl/J2Hb3e
does pre oredering the core set on your site get us the new damage deck
We are looking into that today, but needless to say we are pursuing it pretty fervently.
