Solid list. One of the earliest scratch records I have is from 1990 by the Original Unknown DJs 'Break Beats Vol. 2'..mostly drums, but there's a 7minute section of samples too, very unskipless! One of my personal favs is Sqratch Fetishes of the Third Kind on Dirtstyle..it has a classic locked tone at the end of one side, cool beats and the sentences have classic phrases such as 'I want my haircut!' which is indeed true.
Nice one Harry. Been quite fun hearing from some other DJs the records that they've liked cutting up from the past. There are quite a few Dirt style ones been mentioned that I never even owned. Think I could do with a hair cut right about now too. Everyones going to have terrible hair for the next few months still I'd guess!
That is the One! "Sqratch..." by D-Styles is one record that was used in so many great routines at the end of the 90s and onwards, especially Craze at the '98 DMC. I also dig the Hard Knocks Ghetto Love break on it, really nice to just listen to. On a second thought Gag Ball Breaks, also by D-Styles is just as good.
Bionic booger breaks ! Dirt style shampoo breaks! Super duck breaks !the serial wax killer unidentifryed funk octopus breaks!Black market snuff breaks ! Ultimate cakes and sweets! M boogie battle break on blackberry records ! And that first battle break by roc raider ! Can’t remember the title of the roc raider or the M boogie record but I can’t be bothered to hunt through all my vinyl because I don’t section or organise my vinyl
Not all of these would have had 7 inch pressings no. 7 inch records are a more modern size tbh. They're just a bit lighter so are good for scratching. I guess they fit fewer samples on them as they're smaller. I can't comment for sure though. I've only ever used friends ones.
Recently i made a scratch record. It got a lot of great revjews to those who downloaded it. And now, im making my first scratch series, but first, i thought before I go investing a few k into making a scratch record. I woupd ask a few of you, Is there any 2 samples you'd really really like to hear back to back on 1 record? Ill add a little somethin somethin for you and send u a copy😉 (p.s its called GAS, Keep an ear out)
Was hoping you'd countdown the best non DJ tools vinyls. I have a "Scratchaholics - This Is For The DJ Skip Proof Volume 2" and "Scratch Practice Clear Limited Edition". But there's 100s of normal records out there with sounds far better than anything on those.
God im really cheap! I just yputube these beats and just scratch along. Problem comes when the internet connection is not working well music stops and its always when you really get into a flow and its just buffering lol! Only have thr origanal super seal records to try my hand at juggling! Holy shit its hard! Aready wearing the aarrr samples out lol!
@@SiHargreaves DJ Odilion loops are cool to pratice on. I get abit stuck though with linking scratches up that sound really good. Its funny when im praricing free styling and its going well i became aware of my self and lose that flow. Its not easy and thats why i have mega respect to thoughs how have mastered it. My autobahns arr still slow and not goof at linking them up. Just more pratice i supose lol
I remember Hee Haw Brayks being great.. Strangely it was really light and agile compared to all my other records. Bought it again years later and it was obviously a different pressing and really heavy :(
Nice to see the “Y” record at the end. An absolute must for drum scratching. Great video!
You're right there. I should practice with that bad boy more. Drum scratching really good practice even if you don't use it much innit.

I like your channel!! 😁
For anyone reading whose worn out a copy but now on Serato, I've seen rips of a few of these Top 5 (and others) on Soulseek.
Heh I can't believe Soul Seek is still going... How did that manage to not get taken down when Napster and that all got the chop? Weird.
Excellent video, managed to get one Super Seal off eBay today. Big ups!
Thanks man! Can't go wrong with super seal aww yeah!

Cut and Paste honestly does produce some of the best shit out there. Good suggestions. :)
Cheers! Yeah I love their stuff. Symatic is a badman on the cut too.
That's sick man, big ups 🖖.
Heehaw was one of my faves too !
Big ups man. Got any more in the pipeline?
Toasted Marshmallow Breaks & Deluxe Shampoo! 👍
So good!
I was looking for a video just like this. Would love to see more.
You got it!
Can you speak to the difference between the 12 inch and 7 inch pressings of some of these? Not sure if they all come in both (I’m super new here).

Si Hargreaves thanks for checking! I’ll investigate and report back.

I'm currently using the JICO ones I think

Heh I guess that could be a separate vid. I'm no expert in that field though. May be I should speak to someone like Symatic about that.
Made the mistake of buying the 2nd scratch roulette vinyl..boo

Ha if you're just scratching Super Seal is all you need really.
Tell me you know about loopers Barry?

Awk... No 'Death By 1000 Cuts' ☠
Heh we can't use em all I guess
REISSUES PLEASE.
"Hee Haw Brayks" kids. You're welcome
Yee boi. It's a goody. That's why it's on me list :)
I remember Hee Haw Brayks being great.. Strangely it was really light and agile compared to all my other records. Bought it again years later and it was obviously a different pressing and really heavy :(
@@Clownstyle1982 Yes exactly! I have around 8 copies and 6 of them were the different heavy pressing.
Scratch roulette sucks.
