We were created to worship, but not everyone is a worshiper. People don't understand the demeanor or posture of a worshipping spirit. People could get uncomfortable and impatient when you need to tarry in His presence. But you have to press pass those who have a ' it don't take all that ' mindset. A worshiper needs the do what they are born to do. It could take hours because time is excluded in the presence of God. One day with God is as 1000 years.
AMEN....ya know, me being a white woman, however half of my family is black, but ive been raised in what they'd consider a "black church" my entire life...So this worship right here is just like home for me..& im a supervisor of the collections dept @childrens hosp..& had an office of 14 employees & i rem several yrs ago i invited some of the ladies to church with me after learning that they were struggling with some issues in their lives that i knew nobody but Jesus was gonna be able to come in & take care of..& esp cuz these women had small children they were raising on their own..& 2 confided in me that they were not raised in church but wanted to get to know Jesus & 3 of them attended church as they were raised but not the same type of church that i was a part of it...so, i went that fri & bought em all bibles & had them come to my church...& out of the 5 that came..for 3 of them (the 3 that said they grew up in church) when i say it was most def a culture shock & they were like deer in headlights lookin around during our praise break worship like "what is goin on & what is wrong with these people"..but the 2 that never went to church before..they were the ones who were completely open & hands raised eyes closed cryin out & they gave their lives to the lord that day...& now almost 10yrs later & they still attend church every week...their children a big part of our church & bible study, & play all the sports programs we have thru our youth ministry..just to see the transformations & blessings that God being in their hearts & homes has created in their lives is so incredible..& while i may not have been able to get them all to let go & let God..i did bring them to the place they could get what they said they needed..& at least helped to plant the seed..So when i read your comment about how some people dont understand the demeanor of a worshipping spirit it just reminded me of how those young ladies responded that day..& how it was the 3 that were familiar with church...& although i had an idea, their reactions that day just showed me just how uniquely diff "black church services" were compared to "white churches"..from the pastor, to the music, to the way we praise & worship & i must say, i am so grateful my grandparents whom which i was raised by..felt that for our family the best way in which for us to know Jesus, feel him, rep him, & love him the way we do ..it took "No Ordinary Worship"...cuz even with me knowing & serving Jesus the way i do...i couldnt imagine being raised in a church where folks did the quite "cute praise"...not tryin to knock em...im just being honest & sayin any other way of worshipping thats unlike this video right here, i dont feel woulda ever worked for me & mine...to each is own i guess. 🤷😊
