Spiderman Explained
1.Madame Web returned Spiderman after Spiderman rescued both Marry Jane and Eddy Brock. For him it was years but Spiderman will always return like he never left
2. Miles Warren successfully clones Spiderman via his ripped suit and his DNA allows him stability for the clone not to melt like Marry Jane clone did. People think we resolved this with Ben Riley but that was his broken Earth. On our Earth Miles Warren still has that piece of fabric and Spiderman DNA on it. That s a season long story arch. Spiderman fabric also contains partial symbiote traces and so he cloned Venom as well explaining the news article on X Men 97

Major difference from original series from the 90s is they are not shy about people dying, including main characters (Jean actually dies at the end of the comic version of dark phoenix, but not cartoon version for example). The 90s show was made for kids, this was made for those kids grown up.

That's just what they budget for because of streaming. They don't earn money on commercial breaks the way they used to. And they don't earn money by syndicating episodes on other networks. Which used to be why seasons would get 20 plus episodes per season.
Are you dumb? That is pretty much the standard these days. Be lucky it wasn’t a “limited series” (4 long episodes).
Cause animation cost too much to have full length seasons it's not like hand drawn animation no more for the most part

I have the original comic issue when Magneto ripped out Woverine's Adamantium. I was like "Whaaaaat!!!" After the initial shock, I then thought, "Why has he never done this before??
I still have that issue, neatly tucked away in plastic and sleeve.
This series have brought back so many amazing memories of the old series.....love where this is going....and thank you for all these breakdowns

That was my issue with Hugh Jackmon when he was originally cast as Wolverine in the 1st X-Men film. While he has since fallen into the role, I did think it was a miscast.
They somehow actually made this show better.
I have a feeling this will be setting up onslaught as the villain for season 2 ,and i couldnt be more excited.

No Avengers, we've seen too much of them, let's focus on just X-MEN, a few cameos included, but not fighting other good guy groups. That's fanboys stuff that won't elevate the show, I don't want X-MEN to look like it's apart of the MCU movies. X-MEN don't need Avengers, they're phenomenal on their own, and a much better and more interesting team.

This series is SO good! I'm pushing 40 but "X-men 97" takes me right back to those saturday mornings in the early 90s when I'd get up early and even sit through the last half of "Bobby's World" so I wouldn't miss any of the good shows like "X-Men" "Batman TAS" etc... 97 is basically one big love letter to us older fans who possibly got into comic books from watching those cartoons and I am absolutely 100% here for it!

I never read the comics, but I did collect the cards when I was a kid. I had a foil card of the scene of Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine. I now better understand why that all happened.
Man! I’m still surprised and blown away by how insane and good these episodes have been!! With each episode I’ve been getting more interested in the idea of more revivals of the other 90’s shows!! Along with more seasons of X-Men 97, it would be very interesting and a lot of fun to have a animated universe with the X-Men, spider man, the avengers and any other characters from the 90’s shows!!

No, we've seen enough Avengers, too much if you ask me, focus on the greatest team in comics the X-Men. I'd rather they do the 'ONSLAUGHT' for season two.

@@markpjf85 As a cameo in an episode or two, that's fine. If they continue to be on the show on repeat, it will turn me off to what is a phenomenal show. This isn't the MCU nor Avengers, where everything within it has to abide by its MCU motifs. In other words, focus mainly on X-Men characters.

I REALLY need to know why they fired the dude responsible for one of the best things Marvel has released since the original Iron Man. This season has had perfect pacing, perfect animation, perfect storyline, perfect acting and voice acting, just TOP TIER all the way around. Only two complaints which are minor, not paying off the Motendo episode with Jubilee learning her powers are WAY more then she uses them, unless they'll up her power in these last 2 episodes, the second complaint is Wolverine not getting to fight until this last episode. I'm a Wolverine fanboy so I feel he's been under utilized this season. He's also savagely OP so I imagine that's why he's a back seat driver for now. Come On though..... Magneto in his tightie blackies flying to the North Pole like a boss, "Enough" with the suaveness, like a BOSS, no fear, no scruples, just fkn done with trying Charles' way. Historic.

I haven’t seen TAS or 97. Is TAS the only series I need to watch before 97 or are there any others set in the same universe that crossover?
All marvel series from the 90s are canon to each other. You don't need to watch them before you watch X-Men 97
What if X-men '97 is the team that comes into the MCU so you don't have to revisit their origin stories or deal with having to wait to introduce the whole mutant universe? What if instead of an incursion, where one or two universes are completely destroyed, there is a convergence where 2 universes/realities merged into one? This could further explore other life memories, the Mandela Effect, and "you and I remember Budapest very differently." After the convergence, only a few Omega level mutants will "remember" that they've been displaced from their original timeline so Magneto can still have his Holocaust origin and remember it like he was a survivor not that long ago despite most everyone else not remembering the Holocaust in the MCU timeline because it was "way before their time". For example, what if Magneto always existed in the MCU timeline but was never a mutant or Holocaust survivor but the child of a Holocaust survivor and when the two Magnetos merge into one, the dominant mutant gene is the one that defines the character? So to Magneto, the Holocaust was his personal trauma but to the MCU, he only has a personal connection to the Holocaust because he is a child of a Holocaust survivor. By introducing the already established X-Men teams into the MCU, you can also include X-Factor, X-Force, New Mutants, and Generation-X so that everyone can have the X-Men they grew up with. MCU wouldn't have to retell all the stories done before but just revisit them through small flashback scenes or exposition dumps. MCU can even rewrite some of the older MCU movies by inserting mutants in them. Re-release and special edition media alone would generate additional profits. So when your children or grandchildren have only watched Endgame edition where the X-Men fought Thanos alongside the Avengers, you can tell them "you and I remember Endgame very differently." And this way, they can still put out plenty of content for the next 20 years by having a greater variety of characters to focus on instead of just the original X-Men or Avengers.

Makes sense. The Sentinels were the greater long-term threat, but 1 million humans die....it's war. And Magneto had already been given a chance at the UN, so there wouldn't be much desire to hear his side of story, which would be made all the more tragic because of his WWII upbringing.
I will be very disappointed if they try to give the entire team new uniforms. Those incredibly awesome Jim Lee uniforms are absolutely crucial to my interest in X-Men.

It was made pretty clear that Magneto's EMP knocked out all the electrical systems. They cut to several cities going dark and showed Omega Red's stasis pod being shut down.
I have a feeling cable techno virus in him will play a role on how to beat bastion.

Hey Charlie, I think you may have been mistaken in the Wolverine movie 7:23 when Logan fights silver samurai in the movie, he only cuts his claws off but the rest of his body is still laced with adamantium. That's why in the final scene when he's about to clear the scanner he says "I'll take the pat down" and when he notices that Magneto is at the airport, Magneto is able to paralyze him when Logan tries to pull his claws on him, because there's adamantium in the rest of his body still.

I don't watch cartoons but follow this. This past episode hooked me. They have the plot for the movies. Just bring this to live action.

At the end of the Wolverine movie he did antmantium in his body, it was just cut off from his claws. That’s why asked for the pat down at airport instead of going through the metal detector in the mid credit scene.

I like the intro credits without Magneto in the beginning, it just interrupts the flow. Much better to have him at the end.
