Got my first order. Blood on the bottom of the box, edges of meat product thawed. Reached out to Heartstone, they Said it is ok. Cooking the ground beef now and it smells a bit odd, different from any ground beef I've ever cooked... Not sure i will eat it

@@TimbosFoodBox I sent an initial email about the blood. They responded that it is fine. I just followed up with an additional email about the smell. Against my better judgement I took a bite and it tasted like it smelled. My son came downstairs to see what I was cooking because the odd odor got his attention. I just asked for a refund and even though it's more expensive, I'll stick with my local butcher.
Update - They were very quick to resolve my issue.
Thanks for turning me on to this.. I gave up with Butcher Box and have been looking for one that didn't break the bank like Snake River but one that is a smaller local company.
Doh.. they don't deliver to Florida
They don’t use dry ice yet, so I am guessing this is why. Have you tried Agridime or Crowd Cow yet. I have reviews of both on my channel.
