How usually, an excellent tutorial. I couldn't wait to see a good tutorial on the new tools that the INSYDIUM 1030 version introduced. Thank you to you and to the whole team.
Not sure what PC you're using, but an M1 Mac Mini 16GB is WAY faster than the demo at calculating and playback. When it calculates the Shortest paths it's almost instant. Alembic baking and playback much smoother too. Very impressive.
I've followed the instructions to the tee, but my squares are rapidly changing from height back and forth and the animation is really ugly. theres no animation on the noise so i have no idea why mine is going crazy like this.
It looks wrong when I animate the Shell Gen with the falloff - the segments are jumping all around their Y-axis as the falloff moves through it. Some new setting I'm missing?
Hi there, very lovely tutorial. I am having issues that if I uncheck steps, I can't use the bevel and if I use steps, extruded polys don't follow the spherical field like yours.
Great tut. Why does it have to rebuild the paths before and after baking to alembic, though? That's pretty annoying/unnecessary? Bug from the shortest path?
I went through the mtSubDivider>mtDualGraph>mtSubDivider steps to work with the spline, but the second mtSubDivider suddenly splits into squares instead of triangles. What settings should I change?
Meshtools is absolutely amazing, and I love the new additions to Terraform! I wish I could play with xpShatter more often, but right now it seems like... It just doesn't want to work for me xD The "Shatter on Collision" repository scene doesn't shatter at all, and I had a project of mine simply stop working entirely. Even rebuilding the emitters from scratch, it'd never shatter again :(
I'm using Meshtools Build 194 and C4d 2023.1 and the spherical field doesn't produce that fallof effect even slanting the polys as it fades, it's a sharp cut and the polyons randomly grow and shrink every time you move the field, not being smooth at all, there's any thing I can do to try to get a proper behavior? Thanks!
Great software, great tutorials. But none of them shows how to get the splines (mtEdgeSpline & mtShortestPath) rendered properly. Does anybody how to do that? They're visible in the viewport only. Tried with Cycles4D, Redshift and Standard Renderer.
hey, thanks you for great tutorial , just a question. what if we want to control Spline growth by something like an audio file? i tried adding a sound field as fall of but it was not as expected . how can i set splines growth start and end driven by a random input or in this case an audio file?

Hey Bob, quick question ... Once the fall off for the mtShellGen object is animated, is there anyway to cache that animation? I thought the MoGraph Cache tag would do the trick but that's not working on my end. Just curious.

Is there a way to avoid the faces slanting due to the field's influence as seen on 13:21 ? I don't see any options in the MtShellGen for that. I'm trying to create something similar with the faces being level.

ANSWER to anyone who hit this issue: In the Shell Gen object settings, go to "Steps" and switch it off!
@@thinkingoutloud3757 Thank you very much for that sir!
@@thinkingoutloud3757 That's for that note, it does fix the jitter but I don't think I can use the bevel in the mtShellGen with that unchecked.
Same thing happening with me! Can't use the bevel while checking off the steps

Nice video, well done, you have very nice talent, awesome and wonderful to watch
Epic video!!
Hi there, very lovely tutorial. I am having issues that if I uncheck steps, I can't use the bevel and if I use steps, extruded polys don't follow the spherical field like yours.
Yeah, same issue here... did you find a solution?... My workaround was to put all into a null object and use the normal c4d bevel deformer
Great tut. Why does it have to rebuild the paths before and after baking to alembic, though? That's pretty annoying/unnecessary? Bug from the shortest path?
Hey is there a way to get the spherical field to not jitter the blocks upwards but instead have them slant like yours?
My problem exactly.
I think because Steps are checked which is strange that he has it on.
cancel step
go to mtshellgen go to objects got to steps at the bottom and check or unchek.
