Listen to a demonstration of SOLARIA's Auto Pitch Tuning & Cross Language Synthesis in "White Winter Hymnal" - an a cappella arrangement cover of the song by Fleet Foxes! The arrangement used is by Pentatonix, and all vocals included (including the percussion) are created using Synthesizer V SOLARIA.
SOLARIA will release commercially on January 19th, 2022. A pre-order store will open on January 1st, at a price of $89.99.
In Synthesizer V Studio Pro, AI voices like SOLARIA have the ability to sing in multiple languages regardless of the language of the original recordings! While SOLARIA is recorded as an English AI singer, she can also sing in Chinese and Japanese! (Thanks to translation help here from Geiky and Creuzer!)
Additionally, this demonstration uses very minimal manual adjustment- relying mostly on Synthesizer V's Auto Pitch Tuning feature to add realistic pitch interpretation to all 4 vocal lines.

This really cemented Solaria as my favorite SynthV vocal. Her voice has this beautiful mix of both power and calmness and while her accent is still apparent when singing in other languages its not as noticeable as say Eleanore's is.

I personally love how they keep accents when switching languages. It just makes them feel more real because real singers WOULD have an accent singing in other languages they're not native to.

I have to say. I never thought I'd see any vocal synth beat boxing and doing a nice choir cover. Solaria's sounds like she could spit a good rap. Meanwhile, her deep notes sound nice and raspy in areas. Meanwhile, her mid to high ranges sound sharp and clear. With a nice reverb. Like what you would hear in some church choirs. I like how her low notes are soft tunes , while the high notes sound more soulful and ennergenic. Making Solaria's not just sounds more realistic with less instrumentals. But, her vocal range sounds like she would be able to carry her own weigth in accapella (vocals as instruments without using words singing.)
This may be me during the oo or ew parts . They sounds pleasent to me. Something you could harm along with if viewers wanted to. An it would feel natural. That is something I'm really glad to see Solaria's is able to do.
I really hope she gets used alot in non anime songs. So, she sound appeal to more english music procers . That could use her for some really cleave songs . Hope your team is having an will have a great new years :)

As Japanese speaker, I can say that her Japanese sounds overall fine and it’s understandable. There is very noticeable accent in k/t/p sounds when she sings in Japanese but I think it is OK because many native Japanese singers do sing intentionally with sharp consonants and she’s perfect at that. I was hugely surprised how good her pronouncing was with Japanese r and “shi”! Those sounded completely natural for me.
As someone who has also studied little bit Chinese, I noticed that she sung in southern accent. She pronounced vowel in 风/feng and 梦/meng as “ong” which is typical in south accent. I think she sounded fine in Chinese but as non-native Chinese speaker myself, take my word as grain of salt.
EDIT: 9 months later, I’m adding to this old comment. I bought a copy of her in preorder. She is amazing!
Her Japanese is great as it and she having strong k/t/p sound isn’t necessary a bad thing at all. Her way of singing Japanese can be seen as a “stylistic choice” rather than “an accent”.
Sorry if I gave an impression that it was a bad thing to have an accent in the original comment, that wasn’t my intention. (English isn’t my first language.) I came back to edit one line in this old comment I made because I saw how much traction this comment got and I regret my past, poor, word choices.
Also I found out that yes, you can make her consonants non-aspirated by shortening consonant length from 100% to 20%.

As someone who doesn’t speak Japanese, I didn’t hear or see a P sound in the Japanese portion? Could you point out where you mean?
(Unless it’s a typo. I don’t mean to beat you up for it! I’m just genuinely curious)

@@guestie i think they just meant it in general/hard consonants

@@guestie Hello and sorry for late reply.
By “k/t/p sounds” I meant plosive or stop phonemes.
In English, plosives are aspirated meaning that you release air while pronouncing /k/, /t/ or /p/ phonemes. Try say “king”, “toe” and “peel” in English. Do you feel the air coming out? That’s aspiration.
In Japanese, however, these phonemes are very little aspirated to non-aspirated. Because of this, English pronouncing of /k/, /t/, /p/ phonemes sounds very harsh to Japanese speakers.
I hope this explanation cleared out confusion of my original comment.

    • @AzoSBear
      @AzoSBear 2 года назад +5

@@YukitoYuki If i remember correctly there is phoneme velocity setting and phoneme strength setting so adjusting those will probably make the plosive phonemes sound more natural

The other AI voicebanks we have sound really human, but this is the first voicebank that sounds like a real human *singer*.

In 9th grade, my high school chorus sang this song for our winter concert. I remember showing a friend, who is also a singing synth fan, in that class that year on a day that we had nothing to do the SoundCloud demos of the AHS Vocaloids XSYed. I thought that it was so cool to have two different vocalists’ voiced combined into one voice as they told me to lower the volume a bit because, admittedly, I was kind of blasting it from my phone 😅. I couldn’t have even imagined a feature like that. Four years later, Dreamtonics, already at the forefront of singing synthesis, introduced the cross-lingual update for AI vocals on Synth V Studio Pro, another feature I never could have conceived of. I only speak English, but from what I can tell, Solaria sounds wonderful in this demo. I’m so excited for her release, and I’m especially touched that this song was used both for her and to demonstrate a mind-blowing new vocal synth feature.
