There is always one like you. It was produced last year but it's genre specific written. You know this, so why bust people's balls. This has late 70's/80's written all over it.
@@SrChalice im not sure being this triggered is warranted tbh. Dude didn’t talk down on any genres, he simply stated that growing up his listened to vastly different music than this, even if this genre has been around since long before the 90’s. I want this song played at my funeral.. On a video montage of pictures throughout my life. Ending with a childhood picture of me smiling with utter happiness..🥲
Even though I was born in 2005, I feel an inexplicable pull toward the 70s, 80s, and 90s-times I never lived through, or maybe I lived in the old eras i mean those nostalgias of cereal packets, the laughter from games, the nostalgic TV shows, and the warmth of a loving homemade life feel like a perfectly wonderful, timeless dream. It’s as if these decades whisper to me from some hidden corner of my being, creating a sense of nostalgic resonance that feels deeply rooted. I think I lived and i did 🌎
I was born in the early 90s, but this song is incredible so much, so I have it set as my alarm. Yes, it also paints the mental image of the introduction of a late night 80s cop show. The artists nailed it here
I just had my first corporate meeting in DC. Took the Northeast Regional and the Metro both ways. Listening to this while riding past DC was definitely a nice way to round out my trip.
Song needs a warning label 🤯 just violated my human rights 😂 imagine being in the studio when it was created wow what a time pure musical art 🔟🔟🔟🙌🏾👏🏾 Bravo 💐
I was born in early/mid 80s, and I only remember the latter part of the 80s. I remember it with such fondness, and this track has brought some of those memories because of the sheer 80s-ness of the drums, the saxophone, and synths. Beautiful track. Nice work and God bless. 👍🏽
I literally thought this was from the 80s in a movie that maybe somehow I missed. That sax man, jfc... Life is missing the sax so bad man I can't turn this off.
I love this music so múch. ❤all sunglasseskid tunes are perfect. And combination with Johnny is number 1. I am born in '86 I dont remember múch from 80's but music is time less❤❤❤
Rain pours down V : "I'm running outta time.... I'm not ready to die." Johnny : "So whats the plan then V, You don't wanna die, and you don't wanna drag anybody in this mess with the risk of killing them..... tough choice. I see a white woman in a black dress, with blonde wavy hair in New York City, in a pent house on a rainy night as she looks out over the city. A man name Charles walks in, he's an attorney. He's soaking wet from the rain. 😂😂😂 Omg it reminds me of a romance novel.
She comes to his posh New York apartment, nervous and not knowing what to expect. Being a southern girl, New York seemed like a whole new world...full of lights and noise. He has always been nice to her, but her heart is gaurded due to past hurt. She knocks on the door, and he opens it... dressed in loose lenin pants and a matching button-down shirt. His short, salt, and pepper hair slightly glistens in the soft florescent light of the foyer. His goatee was the same colors as his hair, and his lips parted into a kind, seductive smile. He was about 10 years older than her, but she didn't mind. She figured that at 31, she was old enough to guiltlessly have dinner with an older man. He smells like fresh. She can tell he's just showered. He stares at her for a moment after opening the door, grateful that she had accepted his dinner invitation. She was short, her head coming up just below his chest... but he didn't mind. She had her small micro braids pinned up in a bun, which allowed him to truly see her face. She had big, brown, doe like eyes, and her dark skin had a light glow from the tea tree oil that she had used after her shower. Her lips were full, and she gave way to a charming, slightly unsure smile. She was wearing a knee-length sundress and sandals. They stared for a moment before he moved aside, allowing her to enter into his apartment. She inhaled the smell of something delicious that was cooking as they continued to exchange pleasantries. She tried to fight off the urge to stare at him, hoping that it wasn't terribly obvious that she found him more attractive in his comfort wear than she had in the suits she usually saw him in. The apartment was gorgeous and simple...honey colored wood floors, white walls, and off-white cabinets with tan looking granite countertops. The living room area housed a large, overstuffed sectional, with so many pillows of different shapes and sizes that she couldn't count them all. On the tan colored rug on the floor between the sectional and a faux fireplace was a bowl of ice, a bottle of wine, and two glasses. The lighting was soft, as the glow from a few lit candles on the end tables of the sectional helped to set the romantic mood. Although it was faint, she could hear the croon of Alexander O'Neal's "If You Were Here Tonight."" He took her hand softly into his and began to lead her into the kitchen. She gently exhaled and allowed herself to be at peace with whatever romance the night would surely bring.
