Mate so so happy you finally started this series. I can honestly say this is the best video I've seen in a long long time. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. You're a natural mate. Cannot wait for the next one!!!
Great video, i used to source quite a bit from my local auction which tends to be pricey as its so accessible for buyers and the local resellers but maybe its time again.
Have you ever gone to a liquidation auction? I was looking at one recently due to an investment of mine going bust, all their assets will be on sale so I'm considering going up to see if I can make my money back. They'll have a load of factory equipment (everything from ohmeters to CNC lathes), nice sturdy industrial tables, and other such things - basically everything you'd expect to see in a vehicle factory. It's set me on this entire rabbit hole of buying things from auctions and reselling them lol
I’ve dealt in vintage cameras for a good few years. Only problem is if they’re not checked to be working gotta be listed untested otherwise expect to get returns
Nice video Kev makes a refreshing change from the usual car boot stuff. Would like to see some bidding at auction if poss and also see how you pack and send the big stuff. Really enjoyable and entertaining keep it up, have subscribed and looking forward to your next release.
Ssshhhhhhh...everyone is obsessed with car boots, stop letting out the secrets of the auctions! First time ive seen your channel, liked and subscribed dude...keep it up!
I have been doing the auction purchase to eBay process for a few years now. It can be hard work and tbh after fees, tax etc the profit likely works out at a couple of quid an hour for my time! Keeps me occupied though and there is the occasional diamond in the dust! Good content and will certainly be following your progress 👍
Cheers Steve, it's very cool the range you find at the auctions, never quite know what I'm going to buy tbh! It's great that you can dip your toes in with 1 or 2 lots as well 👍🏻
Think you’d be better of specialising in furniture, especially if you have the means to offer local delivery to buyers. It’s easier to view before the auction and assess condition and solid pieces of wood are always desirable compared to cheap Ikea rubbish. Electrical items are a lottery and buying bundles like that always smacks of buying another traders cast offs. They put 1 semi attractive item in to bump the price up. Not worth the time, effort and risk of faults or buyers returns imo.
Hi Kev, excellent and inspiring video! Can I pick your brains, please? I've bought a Waco table with some "white" marks where something hot has been put on it. Any ideas on how to repair it??
Thanks Tony! What material are we talking? If solid, the most effective way would be to clean/sand/finish, though I'm far from an expert, I muddle my way through with the help of RUclips too, there's some awesome tutorial videos out there for repairs 👍🏻
I have only one auction house in my area….which is the only one across quite a distance. You can imagine what that means for the prices 😬additionally, they will hold the stuff for 24 hours…..and of course, it’s my part time working days! Maybe auctions are not meant to be for now…..but I still want to try them out!! We do have a Saturday car boot with lots of furniture/house clearance guys/dealers. I saw some amazing stuff last week…but I have a question, what do you do if those large furniture items sell on Ebay - shipping wise?
Ah that's a pain, are you absolutely sure it's the only one, you'd be surprised how many are lurking about, the-saleroom and easylive are good websites for seeing if there's any hidden ones you may not have seen 👍🏻 I list all furniture as collect only or buyer to arrange collection, you actually find that lots go on FB marketplace as it tends to be where people will search for bigger items as they want them local too 👍🏻
@@DiaryOfAReseller yeah, I need to keep looking. I did try sale room to track some down, but no luck. The only other ones are antiques type ones, high end. But I am inspired and will keep searching! I must say, I saw some absolutely amazing 60’s furniture last Saturday and it got me thinking! Though, I only have a half shipping container….think I need a bigger one! Interesting to hear that about FB!!

Great work mate!! Really interesting to see the stuff you grab from auction. I definitely want to try them but I’ve been saying that for years 😂🤦🏻♂️

@@DiaryOfAReseller Just seen the autocorrect!! Ercol table with a veneer top! I’ve tried the hair dryer method but no luck.
Go pro 12 is looking smart!
Fantastic bit of kit, definitely recommend if you're considering one 👍🏻
Yet again at same auctions and missed you 😅.
We've been making this a habit for years now Joan, one day!!! 😂
Hi, Kev. Will you still be making a follow up video?
Hi bud, sure am, will be out this Friday :)
@@DiaryOfAReseller Great. Thanks :-)
where do you then sell these?
Cool video dude
Thanks for watching mate 😁🙌🏻
Auctions are great but the auction fees are getting daft was looking at one today fees 37%

How for the Emirates sign ?
Out of date items that arent collectable or antiques can be a dead loss

Unless your making money it a waste of time.
