I think MIL is probably a better system, but I've been thinking in MOA since I was a teenager, and I'm way too old to reformat part of my brain to convert myself to MIL.

Nobody's got time for that math when you're in the range. Fantastic video!

I learned as a Kid with MOA and then learned again using MIL Dots in the early 90’s and now back to MOA because it’s easier for my Old DAV Ass to multiply Lol but don’t have a preference either honestly. I know Sightmark makes 2 great spotting scopes in MOA or MILs that are actually really clear at maximum power, the Latitude i think.

You definitely want an optic with Quarter Minute adjustments.. "Personally" ... Oh im not that good if you need to bust out the Math ;'b
Honestly, out in these high wind mountainous terrain , i need a spotter past 500 yards anyways. Cause im a Scrub😂

I think where many get confused or have a hard time deciding on the scope. Is the defference b/w 1st and 2nd focal plane. this because you can both MOA and MILS in a 1st focal plane, but most are in Mils.

Great job, Joe! Keep up the awesome work! I have both high end MIL and MOA optics and I am not partial to either system. Being as old as I am I was brought up on MOA prior to my military service then being in the military I was introduced to MIL. It was a little difficult at that time to understand going to the new to me units of MIL. The Schmidt Bender PMii is my favorite MIL and the Valdada Recon G2 is my favorite MOA. I also love the two Crimson Trace Series 5, 3-24x56 that I have in MIL. Those Crimson Trace Series 5 optics were so dang great that they made..... I have no idea why they discontinued them and manufactured the "Hardline" and the "Brushline", they are just some more 4× mag "run-of-the-mill" optics that are competing for the flooded market of the same old boring optics. And.... I have no idea why Sig stopped making the 516. It is awesome except for the "cheese grater handguard that fucks up Jess's dainty hands. I had to install plastic handguard covers. Another great MOA optic that I put on Jessica's Sig 516 piston AR is the IOR 1.1-4×24. I purchased it used on ebay for an incredibly ridiculously low cost.... in pristine condition. Made 20 years ago it is still made to this day except in only MIL. Just my two cents!

I prefer mill. I’ve got use to it, and I’m too damn dumb to go back and forth.

Without the full technical (math) details MILs are for the rest of the world... Where we use the metric system (LOL). It is SUPER easy , but you must not give it a value in inches. Then you screw it all up again. Here is its true value and ease of use:
    1 "click" = 1centimeter correction @ 100meters
    1 "click" = 2 centimeter correction @ 200 meter
    1 "click" = 3 centimeter correction @ 300 meter and so on...
Super easy, no fraction or funny stuff ..... never looked back since I changed from MOA to MILs.
    But each for his own....
Great Channel and super informative , Thanks !!
(PS: bought my scopes based on your reviews !!

That 1 centimeter at 100 meters helps to make it easy. All my scopes are moa which is easy peasy for me but it’s nice to know what the rest of the relays are actually talking about without asking…

The few working brain cells I got left are wired on MOA, I almost got a seizure looking at the MRad scale . I'm not a good shooter, honestly .Lol.

Hi, I just saw your eye patch vid. I've had a stroke. It happened after a heart procedure performed by the doctor. Happened while I was on the table. I'm going on 2 years of recovery. For the first 6 months I was paralyzed on the right side. Trying to get back to what I used to do but very limited. Good to hear that you are healing even though it's taking some time. I always tell people a stroke is no joke. When asked what it's like to have a stroke, I tell them I'm living in a mutant Ninja turtle shell that I can't remove. Really work hard on trying to find ways to adapt. Keep these videos coming. Now that I'm on disability, I have a lot of time to do research that I didn't have before. Thank you Joe. Really appreciate you.
