This is good to know since car manufacturers can't make a glass headlight like my 1995 Eagle Summit.

I am really surprised that USDOT hasn't come down on car manufacturers to make a proper headlight that doesn't cloud over. This is a safety hazard.

Funnily enough, its the NHTSA that is responsible this yellowing prone material being used in headlights. They require that this specific material be used, and nothing else. Car makers already have materials that can stay clear forever but are not allowed to use them. Go check out any old junker from the 1990's and you will see it has yellow headlights but perfectly clear cornering lights mounted right next to them. That is because that material regulation only applied to the headlight housings and not the cornering light housings.
