Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

When I was six years old, my mom took me to the store to pick out a bicycle for my cousin's Christmas present. She had me try each one out "because you're the same size as her," and had me choose the very best one, with a helmet and everything to go with it. I was a little jealous of my cousin for getting such an awesome gift, but at the same time I was super excited to give it to her! I kept the secret all month, and on Christmas morning, I got the same exact bike!! It turns out, the bike had been for ME all along! The best part was that my cousin's parents had pulled the same trick and we both had the bikes that we loved that year.

my mom did this when i was like 4, she brought me to the stuffed animal aisle at walmart and had me pick out the best stuffed animal i could find for my 2yo cousin (lifelong best friend, even now at 24 and 22). i chose a stuffed lion, named it Cubby, and slept with it every night so it would be full of love and warmth and "broken in" for her. When my cousin's bday came around (right before xmas), i brought cubby to my cousin's house and was reluctantly abt to give him away, crying a bit but also eager to see my cousin happy, when my mom gave my cousin a stuffed bear instead and was like "now you guys can play together!" I still sleep with Cubby by my bed to this day and we have been through some hardships but he will always be the most dear thing to my heart (materialistically lol) 🥹😭

It made me smile too 😊 It reminded me of my kids when they were little and they decided to get their dad a baby Christmas tree 🎄 as he always had a real tree when he was growing up and we always have a fake one. So the kids decided to buy him a real one when they saw them at the florist. Omg they were so excited when they gave it to him so much so he got it the day they bought it which was over a week before Christmas and he loved it the kids just like that little boy were bouncing with excitement when they gave him it lol. That tree was tiny when we got it, he was only 20cm high !! The kids decided to call it Charlie and they decorated it every year with tree decorations for over 20 years !! They even insisted Charlie came with us when we moved house. Two years ago charlie tree was over 12 ft high !! sadly we had to move him that year as he was far too close to the house, my son who is a tree surgeon said it was risky but sonce hed already been moved teice before he maybe ok this time too and told us give him lots of sugar water to try prevent him going into shock, i fidnt know trees couls fven suffer from shock lol, sadly charlie the tree died and tes it was shock 😥 I was gutted since we had had it so long I was more upset than the others about the death of that tree 🙈🤣. I know it was only a tree but i was giso upset that hed died 😢 my partner and kids knew I was upset about Charlie dying so they planned a suprise for my birthday, they took me to the local garden nursery and bought me a new baby Christmas tree 🎄 hes only 3ft high and we named him Sammy and no I have no idea why we felt they should be named but it seemed like a good idea at the time lol 🙈🤣 I made sure they planted him far from the house so that they don't need to move him later on and risk killing him my kids are all grown up now but me and my daughter still decorate Sammy just like we did with Charlie for all those years 😃

    • @BhappyD

I’m so sorry for your loss. 4 years ago I lost my grandmother, who was my best friend, unexpectedly. Christmas was our favorite time of year, and we would do so many things together preparing, shopping and celebrating during the holiday season. I’m so thankful that the very last Christmas I had with her, I didn’t really even open any of my own presents and instead sat next to her the whole time helping her open hers and just fully enjoying her company in the moment. It felt like just the two of us, even though we were in the same room with the rest of the family. I cherish that memory every year. She was also the type who would have been beyond thankful and genuinely elated no matter what if it was something I gave her. That first Christmas without her was soul crushing. And honestly, even four years later it’s still so painful to not have her to share the holiday season with. Christmas just hasn’t been the same without her. But I’m thankful for the time I did have, and I’m thankful for all of the happy memories, and I’m also grateful for the few close family members I still have left. Sometimes those things are the only things that pull me through. It’s a very bittersweet time of year.
Every moment is beyond special. You never know when it will be your last moment with a loved one. My grandmother was 73, healthy with zero signs of passing. But one morning, she was just gone, without warning and without a chance to say goodbye. Anything can happen at any moment, and we all need to be reminded to fully live in the present and cherish every moment we have with those we love. Those memories won’t fully take the pain of loss away, but they they will be what you will cling onto for comfort to remember a loved one who is no longer here.
Again, I am so sorry that your mother has passed. And I’m sorry that this Christmas season will be so bittersweet without her joyful presence in the flesh. I’m blessed to still have my mother, and I will be sure to hug her extra tight in memory of your mother. Loss, especially of someone so close and pivotal in your life, is so incredibly hard, and the holidays often amplify that. Your mother’s spirit lives on through you though, and I’m sure her warmth will still be felt as you celebrate with the rest of your family in her honor. My prayers are with you and your family. May God bless you and provide you with comfort, strength, happiness and peace during this season and always. **gentle hugs** 🙏🏻💕

Christmas of 1982 was crazy for my brother and I. We knew it had been a real tight year for mom and dad. I was 14, bro was 10 so we knew Santa was mom and dad. None of our relatives celebrate Christmas as they are all Jehovahs Witnesses, so we both knew the gifts would be sparse. Sure enough, there was 2 gifts for each of us under the tree. We opened gifts and ate Christmas breakfast. We were living in central Germany then. It had snowed about 18" on Christmas Eve and when the sun came up it was a brilliant blue sky, the snow was still pure white, even on the street there were just a few tread paths. Mom was like, "why don't you two go out on the porch and look at how beautiful it is outside". We did, literally, exactly as she told us to do and we were getting giddy knowing how much fun we were going to have playing football in all of that snow, later. After about 3 minutes mom comes out with a broom, her face was a meld of laughter and annoyance and asked us to sweep the balcony off AND it was only then that we saw the two sleds covered in gifts. It was only then, that I completely understood the idea of Santa Claus...
    Best Christmas ever!!!

@@astralloser1177 OMG!!! First and foremost, thank you for the kind words.
I finally got the full story out of my mom about how I got that name combo. Dad was stationed in West Germany from 62-6 when he was in the Army (before I was born). He was always picked by his First Sergeant to play Santa Clause each Christmas at the local German orphanage and thought he would pass on his Christmas spirit to his first born son. The funny part (looking back it is funny) is I that I was stationed at MCRD Parris Island for my recruit training Christmas of '86 and my Senior Drill Instructor out in the "Fat Body Platoon" decided since all I could do while rehabbing from almost losing my left foot was sit around reading my manuals and limp over to the Battalion Aid Station twice-a-day for treatments was to sing a Christmas carol each night before "lights out". My mom looked so confused and hurt, until my aunt said, "that's what mom said you wanted!" and my grandma laughed because she wanted that for our house (my mom, grandma, brother and i lived in the same house). When I was a kid under our tree was full of presents. I have siblings so we each had a few but it filled the area under the tree. I had 1 child and under the tree looked so bare. I cried because I was a bad mom I couldn't afford Christmas. My child wouldn't have a great Christmas memories like me. I called my mom to thank her so much. And I realized how much she had to struggle to give us those Christmases. I asked how a single mother did it, I couldn't do it for 1. She reminded me I only have 1 child so it looks like less. She told it was all year she watched for gifts at yard sales, goodwill, clarence items and mostly family and friends. They would help each other with their talents like painting, building, sewing, drawing, design what ever they did to make it together. Looking back they made some really great things that mean so much more to me an I still have. We were very lucky and blessed.

My parents thought my plan was wholesome but realized that my believing in Santa Claus would be ruined (around 13-15 I stopped believing because my parents forgot to put ‘From: Santa’ instead they put ‘From: Mom and Dad’ 😅, I took that whole day after opening my presents to interrogate them 😂)

My favourite Christmas memory I was about seven. I didn't know it at the time, but we had been really struggling with money. Could barely afford food and pay the bills. So we couldn't afford a Christmas tree. My family and I came home and found a Christmas tree sitting outside our door! I was amazed when we ready the card and it had snow and glitter inside and said it was from Saint Nick. Santa had sent us a tree! My parents didn't expect it, we later found out it was Uncle who had sent it. It was very sweet and I'll always remember it.

They delivered it in all it's glory in a box with what it was clearly pictured on the side, right to her doorstep, and I get a call from her saying "Your gift for your sister is here, it looks super cool, you should come get it before she sees it!" 🤦‍♀🤦‍♀🤦‍♀ *SOB*

My SIL a couple of years ago was having a very hard time in life. She put on alot of weight and was on alot of medication to help her mentally. It really stuffed with her body.
And for Christmas that same year her own father and sister both got her a scales each.
I was so shocked with the first set and I could see her face about to cry and then she unwrapped the second set and instantly left.
Shes doing so well for herself now, she's lost alot of weight. She works for my partner and I and a total change in life.
On a funnier note, I get my kid to pick out his Santa gifts over the year, hide them and give them to him from Santa. He's 4 but he's too excited about the small 1$ chocolate bar to notice I put the toy or book or what ever into the trolly and into the car. Literally has sat next to the chocolate once but he was too busy keeping an eye on his chocolate so it doesn't get lost 😂

@@NoneYa-pg6dk we are quite close, our family is big on gifting even if we don't have money, we always manage to give home-made or thoughtful gifts. For example, one year I was really broke and made her a homemade pillow and blanket from fabric scraps, I spent my food stamps to make homemade Christmas cookies, and crafted a special tea blend from my garden; another year I printed family photos and put them into a collage frame from a discount store and decorated it. She gifts my father and her own daughter elaborate expensive gifts, but for me and my sister she gives this type of thing. It's the thought that counts, I don't care about the cost or amount of gift I received but she clearly doesn't put any thought, effort, or time into it. It does kind of hurt my feelings.

Why don't you put it down for now, we'll have some hot chocolate, and tomorrow when things are open we can call around to see who can replace the screen for you] instead of instantly blaming her when she's already upset, in addition to essentially being like 'Why are you upset, this is your fault'
The ONLY thing they did right-from what we see in this video-is when she left the room in distress, they didn't follow her/force her to come back and 'be happy for everyone else'.

Over-sized boxes have warnings that they ship in original packaging, because most places don't have boxes that big. A place i used to work for only had 3 sizes of boxes. the size of a 3-wick candle, the size of a t-shirt, or the size of a boot box. I had to franken-box many a box together to send a small telescope.
