Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

A friend of mine offered to decorate for our wedding and asked our theme. My husband and I told her our colors were lime green and orange and it was a cowboy theme just to see her reaction. She looked like she was going to have a breakdown at first and then actually started trying to look up stuff for us. Said that it would really test her abilities, but she would not let us down. She was so thankful when we told her it was just a joke.

My wedding was in a ICU room my late husband was in, he was fighting AML (Leukemia). It was at UCSD in San D. It was lit up by candle light, and both of our families were side by side. We were together 16 years, it was so beautiful. My 3 beautiful Sister-in-law's put it all the decorations up in his room. The doctors and nurses were all watching thru the curtains, every one was all teared up and greatful we could do this. For anyone curious about the origin of belle, the girls grandma made it because they lived in Ontario, around the same time as a serial killer (it was the late 80s) and he was taking women so belle was for protection for the OP’s mom. But then eventually the grandma made more for others who’s loved ones passed away, so belle isn’t the only doll like that

I can only speak on the dress, I think she was going for a watermarble effect and I assume she was going along with the trend of dying clothes like that during the time she was getting married. Ideally it would be smarter to not wear it, but it’s more fun to do so and see how it curves to your proportions.

It's not even fabric dye though. It's household spray paint. You can literally do the marbled effect with fabric dye and you most certainly don't have to wear it when you dye it. Plus fabric dye isn't highly toxic, unlike the cancer-causing spray paint they chose to use.

I gotta know Belle's origin story and why she's so important to the family. While I personally think its creepy for sure, there seems to be a deeply rooted attachment within her family in general.
I'm uh... open-mindly curious about Belle. Maybe she represents a deceased family member, like perhaps, her mom's mom mom made it for when she passed so her family had something to remember her by and now its deeply significant for their family? Thats honestly the only scenario I can kinda think of.
And naturally the girl doesn't find it weird per say because she grew up respecting Belle in a way that most people cant really put into perspective. With her fiancee pointing that out, she likely started to wonder why this Belle is such a huge deal to her family if she didnt already know. If it is to represent a deceased family member, it happened before she herself was born it seems. So perhaps theres a compromise that she can make to represent that family member in a different way.
Personally, both grandparents on each side of my family have passed. I'm slightly envious that my brother and sister both had one grandparent from each side present at their weddings- i will do a tribute for them at my wedding and while I want it to be a unique touch, I would never consider something like Belle. Belle is basically like the creepy ass porcelain doll collection my gram had. It was literally a wall to wall glass case that had probably over 100 dolls in it... like. I didnt find it creepy as a kid while she was still alive but if I had one of those at my wedding now that I do find that collection a little creepy, it might freak some ppl out.

As a retired florist... my two weirdest weddings.
    1. Theme was butterflies and goldfish. Yup. I had large pilsner vases 32 in high in center of tables which had butterflies (faux covered with glitter submerged on wires) and two goldfish swimming around the butterflies in each vase.
Bad idea as the goldfish ate the glitter and died. Nothing like two dead floating fish in the middle of every table! Ewww
    2. The nudist couple... The entire wedding party was wearing only bday suits. I have never been so uncomfortable in my life! They did not warn me... I just arrived and was shocked into silence and spent the next two hours staring at my own feet. "Don't look up! EVER!"

My friend Rusti had a Celtic themed wedding. She's Scottish decent, and her father is some kind of Scottish nobleman, I've seen pics of her at functions with him where he's wearing his traditional garb with medals and a sash and she's dressed in a beautiful gown.
For her wedding, she had a Celtic crown made, wore a long hairpiece that matched her naturally red curly hair, and an emerald green gown. Her handsome husband wore a leather tunic and simple crown, looking like King Arthur with his epic beard.
The wedding was to be at 2:00 PM at our clubhouse in our small community, and some of our older "Karen" neighbors made fun of her dream wedding. She got wind of that, and she was also still grieving the fact that her mother had recently died and wasn't there. She locked herself in the bathroom, crying and didn't come out for a few hours.
Those of us who love her stayed. Her closest friends went to her house and convinced her that none of those miserable Karens matter, and that her mother IS present in all of our hearts and is proud of her beautiful, kind daughter.
She pulled it together, fixed her makeup, and arrived just as the sun was setting, all purple and orange, with golden streams of light coming through the ancient oak trees! She really looked like the Faerie Queen! Her bridegroom cried (so did most of us).
By then, the Karens had gone home, so she was surrounded by her true friends.

It happens in Australia, more regional/country areas. Its just a tradition now. The amount of make genitals I’ve seen because of the song eagle rock…lots of fun

The casket wedding actually had an interesting reason behind it. (Also there were two grooms 😊) anyway, the groom that went down the aisle in the casket used it as a metaphor because in his "old" life he had done some pretty bad things, and he wanted a symbol of leaving those parts of himself behind.
I'd never do anything like that, but man when I learned the reason I was moved, js 🥰

I wish we could have seen it after it dried because I feel like it would have looked way better and given us a better idea of how stuff like that turns out. I had a friend from college get married, both really sweet people that had been together since freshman year. She did ask her cousin to sing but didn’t know she picked the longest possible Rascal Flatts song. Oh my god she started singing as Brandy walked down the aisle and then the couple was just standing there for like 3 whole minutes, eventually just staring at each other playing a game of chicken to see who would laugh first. Ended up being really funny, but you could tell this was not the plan and honestly it was the best part

Being the sappy sod that I am, I say people can do whatever they want so long as it's not wildly harmful and everybody is game for it. Bring Belle along, sing your way up the aisle, wear your t-rex suits, hell dance with your trousers round your ankles and show up in a coffin if you really insist. One person's bizarre is another's enchantment.
I will admit I gave some serious side-eye to the dog story though.
