It’s such a fun one! Simple enough but interesting decisions to make every turn. Glad you enjoyed it!

Can the white flower on the score card be chosen as a single color. In other words if I have a yellow die with 1 dot, can I say one white flower on the score card is yellow?

Yes, you could definitely do that, although strategically it is generally beneficial to lump it in with a nearby color. But yes, the choice you described is a legal move!

    is there a way t
o play the bloom game similar to bunco? I have 12 people and would like 3 tables of 4 and people rotating but not sure how I could play the game like that, any suggestions please.

Hmm, that’s a tough one. Bloom takes a lot longer than Bunco and is quite a bit more involved. If you got three sets of the game and everyone was good with this level of rules you could figure out a rotation and play three rounds of the game with people switching seats each time. A faster and easier option might be Farkle. That’s much more friendly for group play and is a faster game. Each table just needs six dice and you would be good to go. You can make Bloom work - it would just be a bit trickier and a more time intensive choice.

You can have a timer for any game and have people move around. I agree, that's key for a "mixer" type activity. Honestly even Farkle is quite a few levels up from Bunco. I hosted an event for Girl Scout volunteers last spring and we had a mix of people, most of whom didn't play a lot of board games and just wanted to chat, and the most successful games were Hedbanz, Tenzi, and Story Cubes. I think it's best to aim for easier games like Bunco, Bingo, and LCR (left center right) when you're with a group that just wants to socialize because they're going to have trouble and not be happy with anything overly strategic. So it all depends on your group! Social games can be pretty fun too, Telestrations is more about the experience than winning or losing. Good luck finding something for your group!!
