Usually, what matters to you is brushed aside. Most are interested in delivering their knowledge and getting done with them. They are not interested in actual things that help but what they think should help you. What they have to say to you matter more. They have a set of rules ready for you to follow. It does not matter if it works in the case. You feel like you can heal better usibg your own ways. Some people just agree with everything their therapists or coubsellers have to say so that they can get over the session fast. They dont want to be impolite, they just agreed with everything said and left or escaped is the better word to use. They were thankful the whole thing is finally over. Not to say some therapists are not sincere but that might be the way they learnt/trained or even through their own experiences on how to deal with the matters.
