+Mainz Geneva - I has been trying all these trail demo on youtube, sadly they are only in stereo. I also tried HULU and downloaded Dolby Atmos pakcage as suggested by Dolby Atmos company. Nope! light never lit up (yes! setting format is bitstream). Receiver manufacturing should included a demo disc.

Oh, the simulated surround effects with subtlety, achieved through phase and delay are amazing! The space crafts can be heard above me, I had to double check it's only 2.0 stereo and that the Atmos speakers weren't playing. Subtle, but effective af.
I grew up with dolby since the early 90s & 2000s it's amazing how they change through the years.

Yesterday I have seen Blade Runner 2049 at the cinema with a 31 SPEAKERS' SYSTEM, and before the movie there's been this short sequence. What can I say? AMAZING.

There is sound in space, you just can´t hear it because there is no air to transport the vibrations / waves to your ears. If you are somehow attached to a sound making object you can hear it.
