IMAX has released this trailer so late. This version has been on RUclips already for days now. In fact I just saw an IMAX 8K 120fps version of this same trailer on youtube on some other channel which is really excellent. Maybe even better quality than this one ;)
12 years in the making despite the delays. Hopefully this movie delivers and become of the best sequels in a film franchise. The VFX is mesmerizing. The skin texture, lighting, water, the reflection from water, and shadows. Can we just appreciate the time and effort and applaud the VFX artists? They deserve the praise for their work.
I still remember the day I watched the first Avatar when I was still a kid, the cgi impressed me so much that I thought "the future of movies is now!" Now this movie is going to bring back the nostalgic feeling I had back then
Same, I went to watch it with my college group in 3D, because that’s the main reason why he made it, blew my freaking mind. I remember the scene with the little white floating flowers and thinking how incredible it was seeing them float out of the screen. I will be watching this one in 3D as well if he’s done the same
For me its the connotations about nature, and the idiocracy of how humans are currently destroying ecosystems that are ABSOLUTELY SACRED wether any gods are real or not, because they provide life, money, and over half the elements we destroy the planet for, do not provide life. Our planet is our creator, our god, and we willingly and knowingly destroy in favour of something so absolutely useless. This movie ignited a passion in me to start conservation efforts on our endangered ecosystems and species, to start pushing and using renewable resources, to feel the connection to earth, for once, and realize how insanely disconnected the majority of humanity is from it right now. But not only did it make me feel that, it made me devastated that I cannot live in a world where there are bioluminescent forests that you spend every moment in, there are other beings who you can make a psychic link to, there is a tangible god and you can hear the stories and voices of the spirit realm, the only jobs people have to do are things that are literally needed to keep them alive like hunting or gathering medicine or organizing the people etc. when your role has so much purpose it is not exactly a job, its just your way of life, that sounds so much more fulfilling. In every way. From the shallows of the aesthetics, the beauty, to the depths of the way of life and spirituality the characters get to experience in this fictional world, i am absolutely devastated i cannot truly experience it as well

I watched the 3D re-release of the first movie last night and they included a 5 minute peek of this one. The way the water looked was insane. To lot of people wondering why these movies are so damn popular, it's because James Cameron was inspired to write this when he was in college during the seventies. These two films and the other three to come are his oldest ideas.
It's been 14 years, and I can still smell the fresh 3D. The effects that had never been used. The capsules had never been slept in. "Avatar" was called the Movie of Dreams, and it was. It really was...
@@umessi10 it’s stupid to demonize either. They are both groundbreaking steps forward for the medium- they’re just doing two different things. Realism vs Fantasy/World Building. Also, Top Gun Maverick has tons of CGI.

Seeing movies in theaters sucks. There are always people talking, people on their phones, someone somewhere in the audience trying to narrate the entire movie, etc. Also, most theaters turn their volume up entirely too loud, causing the speakers to distort and the subs to be entirely too boomy. Then you can factor in the cost of a ticket, popcorn, and a drink, which will cost you at least $30. I'd much rather pay $4 to watch it at home where I can adjust the audio and lighting to a comfortable level, watch the movie literally at any time and pause it to take breaks, and not have to deal with the annoying assholes in the audience.
@@officialmetalwill I absolutely agree. The only benefit to paying to see something in theaters is that you see it earlier than the home release, which is helpful for things like Avengers where you might want to avoid spoilers and don't want to have to stay off social media for weeks while waiting for the home release. Also 4DX, because that isn't replicable at home. What truly stands out to me here, is how I can look at some other part of the screen every time I watch the trailer, and see something completely new. There is just so much going on in every scene, that you will never run out of things to look at. This is 100% going to be the greatest CGI in any film, period.
I didn't think I'd make it to see this day. I've finally witnessed brand new authentic footage from Avatar 2 ... and it's amazing. Many people were so skeptical about a sequel ever being made, many others just gave up on it. There's nothing better in life than promising something ... and then deliver on it. James Cameron certainly did. Ovbiously I still know nothing about the film, but what I can say is it looks promising: beautiful shots, amazing settings, great use of CGI. I cannot wait to discover the storyline and all it will bring to the table, I'm really intrigued. I was 15 when the first came out in 2009 and remember watching it in conventional 3D with a group of friends. It will be amazing to finally watch the 2nd, 13 years later ... on IMAX 3D. Cannot believe it's really been that long and, at least 3 more films are planned after this! I hope they'll try to improve the release schedule. Though, I'd be more than happy to wait way more years if it means getting a product of much higher quality, instead of repetitive and unoriginal content you get from sagas these days. Bring it on!
this movie looks unreal. I don’t care if the original films plot wasn’t entirely original. I think James Cameron is one of the greatest blockbuster filmmakers along with Sam Raimi. Edit after replies: and Peter Jackson

@@sleepete12 ahhhh right....
Finally, a 4K trailer.
I've been waiting for this.
this isn't 4K
This movie is gonna win Oscar for best visuals
Fans and viewers, if We Want Avatar 4 & Avatar 5 to happen, Lets Hope and make sure that The Way of Water and Avatar 3 earn together $4-5 billion$ at the Box Office (Worldwide).
This is one of the best cinema in recent years. I don't think any movie could surpass the 3d effects of this level anytime soon . May be Avatar3 😁
I saw this IMAX format way before the trailer got released. Truly magical!!
God Knows how much i love the first one, now this trailer still gives me goosebumps the music the visuals etc..... I can't wait to watch the first one again this october in theaters since i haven't experience yet!
People say “Yeah Avatar is pretty cool” but if you watched it in IMAX with the glasses, you know it was BEYOND cool 😎
Man! Could they not have released this quality right away? Btw there is an even smoother trailer if you search on RUclips
Just try avatar 2 8K 120fps imax
The official word is:
“To help prepare audiences for ”Avatar: The Way of Water”, Disney is re-releasing the original Avatar in theaters, starting on Sept. 23. The film will have remastered audio and picture and also be swapping out the 20th Century Fox logo for Disney's.”
(unless for some reason that date only applies to one country)
✌️😎🎥🎞✨

Have you ever seen this???
ruclips.net/video/8CsmikMSUYs/видео.html iis done here
I watched the movie in IMAX, and it was beautiful to see Pandora on the big screen like never before! 💙🩵
It looks pretty good ! Hope it's story won't disappoint us.
Yeah it’s like I know it’s going to visually blow our socks off but where do they take the story? It’s possible, though low expectations tend to yield good outcomes in these cases.
it won't disappoint you,Vishu,this is James Cameron we're talking about here. BUCKLE-UP !!! It's gonna be a WILD-RIDE !!! LOL.
@@randomdude189 true that
This is going to be one of the movies of all time.
Are you mocking the movie like Morbius?
I watched this trailer in the theater when I went for doctor storage mom in Imax . the trailer was more breathtaking than the whole doctor strange movie.
I was really sad that this music didn't end up in the actual movie. At least I can't remember it being there anyyway
Complete perfection with the mixed together of the current advanced motion capture of the film with imax makes the perfect match.
I am in love with Neytiri's cuteness...
Love neytiris avatar the way of water imax movie avatar the way of water theaters Joe ally Mikey Thomas javi avatar the way of water movie avatar the way of water 😊 😊😅😮😢😂
I even watch it in 2023 December to just listen the music. This music is just fantastic.Takes me to the whole new vibe.
What truly stands out to me here, is how I can look at some other part of the screen every time I watch the trailer, and see something completely new. There is just so much going on in every scene, that you will never run out of things to look at. This is 100% going to be the greatest CGI in any film, period.
Bruh the visuals are insane and this is literally just the teaser. You can see Jake's pores and everyone's eyes look so real.
This is phenomenal, it blows my mind seeing CGI like this
I've always been emotional whenever i see this beautiful world, can't wait to see it
The most anticipated movie of the decade
I am impatiently waiting this film. The first film gave us a lot of emotions
I'm bringing a big box of tissue,to wipe my eyes with, some of the good guys are BUYING the FARM !!!!
I'm so disappointed they didn't used this awesome music in movie
Me too
Right? At least include it in the soundtrack!
Thank you IMAX, The best is yet to come...
Marvel, DC, Sony and all em other studios gonna get a reality check in December!
Finally not a liemax trailer
Oh shut up. lieMax is IMAX still
This is magnificent. A magnum Opus. Incredible...Hat's off to the team.
Finally…In Glorious IMAX
Official trailer on November 2nd!! Let's go!!
0:37 - 0:40 watch it closely and you can see 6 different kinds of fish we have never seen before. all respect, James Cameron.
OMG ... Oscar is fixed! The highest Grosses are fixed.. best film of this decade is fixed and the best director in the world is fixed!
this movie looks unreal. I don’t care if the original films plot wasn’t entirely original. I think James Cameron is one of the greatest blockbuster filmmakers along with Sam Raimi.
Edit after replies: and Peter Jackson
Don't forget Peter Jackson😄😄
Sam who?!?! Dude, come on! WTF?!

@@श्रीजनरिजाल But avatar 1 had an especially generic story.
I love how much this contrasts modern trailers. No popular music, heavy banging sounds between clips, or over-hyped pauses for stupid jokes.
James Cameron is a different breed
this movie better deliver as a sequel after Top Gun raised the bar high this year.
Great things will come from this long awaited sequel
I saw this Avatar trailer before Top Gun Maverick! It was awesome!
Same here, it looks amazing in IMAX.
@@Starwarsfanboy0928 Cool
I will never get bored with watching the extended 3hr movie of Avatar. Seen in 4 times this week. And before that, every Sunday while eating my Sunday roast.
Please Mr Cameron, make this longer.
you sir need to get a life
God! I am so lucky Just watched the whole Avtar film today and soon I can see second part! cannot wait to watch Sully in real avtar and on big screen!!
This movie is deep. Feels like life after death.
This is getting so heavy
Or....other realms. Many star systems out there. 😉🤗
Barely an action scene in sight, a focus on emotion, beauty, and theme, and I can’t wait to go back.
already saw on IMAX3D last week, it was truly visual masterpiece... never seen anything like it..
you will forget about the mid story as soon as they go underwater..
james really set another new 3D benchmark here..
I’ve only been to a movie theatre once in my life. The next time I’ll go I will be sure to experience this movie in IMAX 😁
What was the first movie, may I ask?
@@trevorriches136 wonder too
@@trevorriches136 it was frozen 2. It was a standard screen, we walked in late, and there was a lot of little kids there. 😭
@@blacknile. OOF. That sounds like just the bessssst experience lol😅I’m deeply sorry you had to go through that!😬
@@blacknile. Show Yourself in 3D is fairly f**king amazing though, so I guess it evens out.
I have a very strong feelin this movie is based on a real truth...an Extraterrestrial world yet to be revealed to the many of us
Gonna see this in IMAX, RPX, Screen X, 3D, every screen I can!
Looks stunning! An IMAX watch for the long awaited sequel!
Preview to Another Masterpiece. FINALLY!!!.
