- We spent the day with Mason late this summer. We had no real agenda, he showed us the house he recently bought, his fruit trees, we had some cool conversations, hit a few skateparks, rode bikes around and I popped his girlfriend's tire (sorry Ginger).

I met him and he was super nice. I said congrats on soty and said bye and he came up to me and gave me a real board and a shirt from out of his car in Ventura California.
Mason’s always struck me as a chill ass dude, but he’s right, as someone who turns 30 in a couple weeks, it comes quick. And adjusting your skate expectations with your age becomes super important. Maybe a little less so for dudes who get to do it as a career, but you still gotta manage your body’s limits better. Glad to see he seems like he’s in a good place in life. Wish him the best.
