    Today we are back with another walleye fishing video! I have finally made it to Fort Peck, Montana! In this video we are using reaction baits to trigger walleyes in deeper water during a summer pattern. As advertised, Fort Peck is home to some giant walleyes. In this video I talk about summer walleye location and how we are getting these GIANT walleyes to react to our baits! Thanks for watching the walleye fishing content!

    Really appreciate you coming to Fargo ND for a seminar although I was out of town my 15 year old son got to meet you Tom. You are one of his fishing mentors. He was a shy kid growing up but fishing and meeting great people along the open water and ice fishing seasons have helped him grown into an avid fisherman.
    Without you sharing your journey with the public my family wouldn’t put tons of walleyes in the boat and flip over each year from ND, SD and MN.
    Fort Peck,WY is now on the bucket list along with ice fishing in Canada
    Will you ever shoot a video with Clayton Schlick Outdoors? Green backs in Canada

    Glad you had fun. Ft. Peck is phenomenal. My personal best smallie comes from there, 6# 10oz. My son Theron has held the Montana record small mouth from there for a couple years, 7.84 lbs..

    I was fishing Holloway Reservoir outside of Flint Michigan. The only way anyone was catching walleye was dragging a 1 1/2 inch soft plastic minnow on a 1/16oz. Jigghead in current breaks. It was insanely delicate fishing.

    It’s crazy how effective forward facing sonar is. I’ve learned so much the pass year on how fish react to the baits. I think the faster you pull it away the more it makes them bite now

    • @xCruZChaos
      @xCruZChaos Год назад +1

      Agreed. Seems like you can work reaction baits as fast as you want come mid-july and they'll find a way to crush it. I've noticed by mid-august that isn't a thing anymore though, you have to drop back down to a normal cadence to get them to go. At least up here in Canada that's how it seems to work.

    Tom, love your informative videos, but with out the 360, front imaging, how would you do. Do not at all agree with that technology. Fish populations are going to suffer. To me it's taking not fishing. Tim Beining, please respond to me thanks Tom.

    • @garya9875
      @garya9875 Год назад +4

      You could say that about any fishing technology maybe we should go back to cane poles and row boats. Sportsman have to be responsible in taking any kind of game with today’s technology.

    • @TomBoley
      @TomBoley  Год назад +2

      Could go back to fishing a bobber and a worm on the shoreline but my job is generally to showcase the best bite I can get on that day. I like any advantage I can get.
      Even before all this technology I have preached about catch and release and I continue to do that. Catch and release is important regardless of what technology you have.
      That's my opinion
