Tom, I enjoyed your stuff forever but am done ever since you utilize foreword facing sonar. I understand it’s might be useful for some and it makes content but thanks for the memories.
Hey Tom! question I seem to have a problem when casting the search bait it seems 50/50 chance if it gets tangled or not on the main line hook swings around, do you tie straight to the search bait or put a clip? Might that be the difference?
Great content, Tom! This is a cool new approach/technique that our live imaging has made possible. Deepest I've ever fished for eyes has been 40ft with 4oz bouncers and crawler harnesses, but I'm definately going to give this a try! Curious if you see advantages running the Bird live imaging? Have you tried others? I'm running Garmin Livescope, just curious .
Hey Tom, great video. I also watched your walleye now app version of this. Lets say your fishing the style on a lake that has a lot of panfish. In general, how do you differentiate between walleyes and panfish on si and di and live imaging? I keep seeing too many panfish to really pick out walleyes.
Tom, I'm a "new to fishing" 57 year old "retired" man living in Osceola WI, i would love to go out with you fishing to learn how to Walleye fish these Wisconsin lakes.
Similar comment to one below but how do you know what you are looking at with front facing sonar. I do just terrible fishing lake Winnebago July/August but I see so many fish in the deepest water. (16-20 feet) Many of the marks are large but it just looks like the water is packed with fish everywhere on regular sonar.
Can anyone tell me a good place I can fish in Wisconsin or Michigan that’s close to northern Illinois and that would be-a good lake I can fish for walleye??? Planning the dates late September or 1st week in October…. Thanks for any information
When you see bait off early/late year structure, is something like this your go to? I’ve been finding bait on my graph and seeing them come up to the surface with my eyes but I’m missing a piece of the puzzle.
Walleye Nation death jig. It's the "original" design on this kind. If you can't get that peg a tungsten barrel weight 1/4 or 3/8 directly in front of a spinner rig with a small blade(4)
Tom - Another good video. When you're using MegaLive in deep water do you ever switch from the forward-facing mode to the down-facing mode? Enjoy your videos -keep up the good work
Hey Tom, love and watch all your video's, very informational!! I just made to switch to humminbird and will be getting the mega live at some point. What length of tki pole are you using or do you recommend? Thanks and keep doing what you're doing.
I still love the trolling stuff. I like the idea of using mega live to see the fish eat the crawler/crankbait and think a video like that would be cool.
I use the Google Eye search bait. Caught some big pike. 38 inches the biggest. But the 3 beads below the spinner all broke off. And now the spinner doesn't work.
Tom what do you think of search bait's spinner design? I have a few and its spinner is hard to find its sweet retrieving speed for maximum action. Most of the time I see spinner is still or not spinning properly.
I love it .... it spins good at super slow speed. If you have one that seems to be sticking make sure there is no paint on the wire shaft near front of spinner
@@TomBoley yo gotta nice cabin in northern mn.. huge walleyes on a big deep clear lake... you could make some good content.. and do it for free ... come stay for a day or three... I will cook all the food.. good internet for editing your videos... just got 30 inch eye off dock
Tom Boley, Jay Siemens, and Clayton Schick are the best RUclips fishing content out there, and its not even close !
Love the stuff, keep it up !!!
Hands down best forward facing editor on utube.👍
Ever fish pelican lake, I'm 70, live in ky have fished pelican on and off my entire life, thanks for all your help.

So rewarding getting the job done on local lakes.
Great video. Awesome mega live footage!!! Keep it up Tom always learning from you
Great video Tom really enjoyed it! Well Mr.Tom its getting close for a Tom and Shelbster Leech Lake trip always look forward to you 2 fishing there!
Good to see you back on the local lakes. I can relate to those more than those out west.
Please please please visit the river before summer is over love the river content!

Hi Tom...luv this technique...you know any guides that have the equipment and know how to be successful on the water?

Great video!! That’s a cool technique! Love the Walleye Now app!! Great source of information!!
Thanks for watching the content!
Another great video, I have been using some of your techniques on Lake McConaughy and it is tough break off a lot of stuff but they work.
Hey Tom, love your content! Can you link your net in the notes?
That was a Sick video, Especially for Wisco or smaller pressured lakes Boom!

If we can’t get our hands on the kailins search bait. Any other recommendations of baits that do the same job
Walleye nations creations slow death rig

erie dearies. or tie your own short harnesses for casting. "secrete weapon rig". use them on lake erie casting for suspended walleye all the time.

80% of the time, when I cast that search bait the hook gets tangled on the line.
Same thing here. Got some a couple weeks ago and most of the time I reel it back in it is tangled around itself.
Us too
erie dearies wont tangle when cast. the original weight forward spinner. has been catching suspended walleye for decades....
I wish Tom would comment on this issue. I just use mine trolling for now.
@@bnoll712He has addressed it in past videos. He slides the bait up over the bead and supposedly it helps keep everything from tangling.
What’s a search bait
What are those on your feet... new Jordan's....?
Haha..... Simms ankle boot

how about using spinners ?
They work as well
Nice

Well are you?
Wow you are hooking up today.
Just wow 👑👑👑
For us that don’t have FFS, what do you recommend? Troll cranks over a basin?
I’d take that kind of quality over quantity any day. Thanks for sharing your technique but I unfortunately don’t have all that fancy electronics.
Trolling is a great way to target those fish as well
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but why are the fish always so far from the landings?
That's just the way it seems to work haha
Nice butt seat!!!!! Haha glad to see you got one.

💯❤️🔥
Are you just relying on live to get bait to proper depth!
Nice
