New #destiny2 video, going over the New Destiny 2 News coming from "the journey ahead" new Vidoc that just that released after the new Destiny 2: Final Shape DLC is here! It provides a new campaign, new weapons, new exotic quests, and so much more! We also have a New Final Shape Raid, as well as New Subclasses! The Prismatic Titan, Prismatic Hunter, and Prismatic Warlock! Play these within the new Pale Heart Destination!
The new Destiny 2 Into the Light DLC is live! We have new Into the Light Weapons (Brave Arsenal Weapons) including the Mountaintop Grenade Launcher, the Recluse SMG, The Blast Furnace Pulse Rifle, and the Luna's Howl Hand Cannon! We also have The Whisper Exotic Mission and The Zero Hour Exotic Mission!
But today We're going over the new Destiny 2 News! Bungie released the journey ahead video detailing the new Episodes (new dlc) coming in 2024 (Destiny 2 Episode 1 Echoes, Destiny 2 Episode 2 Revenant, and Destiny 2 Episode 3 Heresy), and although we got no news about Destiny 3, we do have some info on what might be coming to destiny 2 in 2025!

I expect something to do with the ultimate fate of Oryx here, remember, the body of ORYX IS NOT DEAD, it's merely 'vacant'. So on some level Oryx is still around.
Even worse actually, his body is actively mutating and growing. It’s a godwyn the golden situation, his body is alive and powerful, there just isn’t anyone at the wheel

At the end of each year the last piece of content we get is a sort of prologue to the next expansion, I think Heresy is a prologue to Frontiers and this is why I think this:
In the Pale Heart we can get dialogue between Caital and Zavala on how she plans to retake her homeworld and if she decides to do this Zavala said she’ll have our support
I think Frontiers will be an expansion that will see The Alliance fleet heading out of Sol to liberate Caital’s home from the Hive and in doing so we will finally take on Xivu Arath and eradicate the Hive Pantheon (minus Savathun)
This would be a fitting end to D2 and the perfect bridge into D3
- We have the power to traverse out of Sol
- we’re the strongest known faction in our galaxy
- The Hive have finally been defeated, ending their thousand years of terror (not including Lucent Hive)
- Our bond with the other races would be strengthened and would now be unbreakable

Exactly. I do believe they've been on the works for Destiny's future & perhaps a D3 with how the en credit of the final shape story U see three ghosts. Bungie likes to drop hints but it's taken wit a grain of salt. I do hope they continue it

Something doesn't make sense ... A month ago everyone knew that, "The Final Shape" was the final expansion of Destiny 2. How did everyone know that?!? Because Bungie specifically said that. Yes Bungie said that was the end of the dark light saga but guess what ?!?! Bungie also said this will be the last expansion.

I'm happy with Destiny ending in year 10 with guardians FINALLY killing the final boss. A long road is finally coming to an end.. the cut scenes were amazing! The story was amazing! And it should end at that.
Keeping destiny going forever is just eh..
I doubt it from a purely investor stand point, just because it appears as though the new DLC is selling it doesn't mean that its considered optimal sales to investors. What this is called is outsider speculation meaning people will be more likely to buy DLC now if the game has a future, reality is Bungie was gutted and this is their last chance to appease Sony. Either Sony will green light D3 or they wont. As for me I bought all the DLC's on sale for $30 minus TFS so for 30 I got 700 hours out of it which isn't a bad deal, I might pick up TFS when its $20 next year IF the game is still playable and Sony hasn't dropped it but I don't really care either way.
I think the Dreadnaught is going to be strictly accessible for the episodic activity. Not a patrol space. Just like Rivens Lair was a “Dreaming City” locale, this will be an activity that has you run through the Dreadnaught… I could absolutely be wrong, but I’ve learned to temper expectations 😅
Also I hope Frontiers is them unvaulting all the locked destinations and campaigns so we can go to all the planets and play the story from start to finish. If they really wanted to blow us away, add the D1 destinations as well and then announce D3 is going to carry over all this content. But again, that’s dreaming.
I really dont like echo dlc so far. The activity is BORING and the loot is useless. Story aside, Im pretty disapointed by the final shape content so far (except the pale heart destination). Basically one week later im done with all content and bored to death... So we are uust fighting the vex now ? Its not impressive at all. Been there, done that. Nessus... Bruh. Most boring destination ever.

Honestly it would be good to move on and have D3 carry over. If they do another DLC for Destiny I doubt it'll come close to how amazing Final Shape is. Hoping they bamboozle us and it'll be Destiny 3 😁

Frontier sounds like we'll finally be going beyond sol. Perfect time since the witness is gone and plenty of opportunity for more unique locations. Looks like destiny 3 is out of the picture for now though, so until 2026 I guess.
I’ll never understand how some of you want all those weapons and catalyst (and cosmetics) wiped for D3.

Potions sound lame. Another thing to manage next to my 100 open quests and inventory full of crap and supers and a new super Wich combines supers and armour stats and catalysts. You get what I mean.
No Destiny 3 pls. I've sunk so much money in this game I really don't want to restart and lose it all. Just keep building and updating the current game, no need to create an unnecessary sequel. If you want the same mechs different story, create a new IP.

This would have been an excellent time to close out Destiny 2 and announce Destiny 3, in my opinion. I would like a new game, and starting fresh sounds good, too.

The Final Shape is literally the content we deserved, it’s like if Foresaken and Witch Queen and Lightfall had a baby in a lab, and that lab baby grew up to be a millionaire
That thing at 3:15 looks like it might be a grenade launcher similar to mountaintop but in exotic form (hopefully with some cool perks)
Echoes are just a great excuse to rinse and repeat old content. They did well with the new campaign, but I am afraid they played all their cards in the first 2 weeks.

Destiny player since D1 and I’m not impressed, at some point they need to give us more enemies and types and move away from the same traditional ones and give us New instead of rehashed content slightly reimagined.

i think codename frontier stands for the new saga, i think they used Frontier because i think we will go OUT of our universe for the first time and discover allnew races and baddies to fight ^^

I think it's another Episode, not an expansion ... In the cutscene, more than 3 echoes emit from the traveller. Also, the icon is the same under "codename frontiers" as it was when the echoes emitted.
The icon is clearly different, for episodes its a small diamond with a larger diamond outline, for Frontiers its a full on larger diamond. Also some of those echoes might have gone beyond our solar system, and an expansion for us to go beyond our solar system, Frontiers is a fitting name hehe!
Hope they make a destiny 3 no live service and end this mess with a hundred new things to know to even start the game

How they keep making Call of Duty games is beyond me and it's just PvP after the campaign that you do over and over and over and over and over and over. Least with something like Destiny, you have that Sci-Fi fantasy fiction that can take you in so many directions. Marathon seems to be like Escape from Tarkov. Curious to see where they go with their development.
Soooo..... it almost sounds to me like.... we are navigating the Dreadnought out of the rings of Saturn? But... where? From that one scene from the final cutscene we saw Xivu and a Sword..... It can't be Oryx' Sword. That got destroyed by Eris in order to give us the Shard inside, so we could craft our first Exo Sword all the way back in D1..... I'm curious to see where this is all leading.

It actually makes sense to have another big expansion for 2025 because why would they revamp the seasonal calendars this much just to bail and make destiny 3 ? they might as well just leave things as it was... personally i feel like the next game needs some setting because i dont want to keep fighting the same races all over again.
I hope new raid is included for next expansion. Hope difficulty is similar to Last Wish. Or the Salvations Edge raid that was released on Friday. Just make the puzzle harder right at the beginning.
