People feel so smart looking stupid . This movie was awesome
2.5 stars is rough. I would give it at least 3.5 just based off the final act. The pacing is a bit slow and repetitive but I guess the repetitiveness was needed to tell the story right but the pace could’ve been a bit faster. Other than that, I’d watch this again. Pretty good movie and I liked the ending.
*spoiler alert*
I felt like the repetitive action was completely on purpose, it conveys how they're forgetting a whole lot and kinda reliving the same stuff, and how all sense of time is lost, it feels like they've been there forever but it's lived out like the first few days. I dunno I kinda loved the film.
@@HaloTropical I totally agree with this. That’s definitely the feeling that was being conveyed. I think as a viewer it can feel a bit blah. But you start to notice subtle tell-tale signs that something is amiss and I like movies like that. I know when I saw it I was like all these ppl drinking and do drugs and no one is having seggs? But then the final act slaps you in the face like oh wow 😮..lol.
Solidly good movie. Great for a directorial debut. Feels like Jordan Peele directed it. Felt a bit feminist by the end. Enjoyed none the less
I totally agree with your assessment.
Genuine question. How does it feel to”feminist” towards the end?
I got Jordan peele vibe too
@@izadoradI mean I feel like it’s a little girl bossy but it’s hard to talk about without spoilers
@@asherward3671 how else was it supposed to end then lol
2.5 is an insult honestly
I thought it could have used a little bit more tension and build up in the first half. When Jess started telling Frida she thought something was wrong - I genuinely had no idea where that was coming from. At some point the flip switched, but it felt like 0 to 100 pretty quickly
I think that’s kinda the point. At the beginning Frida is upset with Jess for going back to her not so great relationship but she prefesed it with “I would never do that to myself” while not realizing that she’s about to be in danger. Jess is picking up on the red flags but this is fridas perspective. They don’t mention why she’s shocked about the dirt under her nails but once you hit the climax, they show their bruises and their more disheveled looks. It’s really showing how this is not only abuse but they are also being convinced they were too messed up to remember. They try to convince Sara fell out of a tree but she’s a professional survivalist. They do everything can to make it seem normal and these woman are believing it because why would they do anything bad to them.
She probably was feeling uneasy from being raped lmao😭 she just didn’t realize
Finally, someone I agree with!
Such a slow start...
And what's the point 🤷♀️
2.5 for real
It seemed like a mess because the angles that were used. It was meant to put you there with the women and the shifting was supposed give you the same experience of memory loss. I enjoyed the movie but not so much the end. I wanted to be there on the island because beautiful scenery, "party favors" the with beautiful women. I thought it was too obvious and there would be a misdirect. I gave it 3.5
The shifting is to give the illusion of something being off while the scenery is beautiful.
Loved it.
Watched it today, couldn't finish it, I walked out half way.
I should have, last half messed me up. Can't get 1 flashback out my head for days now
I would have walked out too but I'm glad that I watched til the end. I really wasn't expecting it.
@@LapisAndroid17ParkRangerwas it the part that came after the necklace sound scene. That part was really hard to sit through realizing what had been done
@@leycia234 That and just overall, i don't think some people get how bad it was. Firstly some are just coworkers like the app girl. 2ndly a LOT more happend. It was every night hence the gabs, then they were friendly again is what makes me sick. Plus all the photo's they found of the extra men that visited the island with them at night. The 2nd r-pe scene was just to darn long, to real. Its been 5 days and i still have flashes of it every few hours. What is odd for me cause i can watch horror all day and not be affected so i don't know why i'm so affected.
@@LapisAndroid17ParkRanger I’m the exact way but that scene felt too real. It also made me very uncomfortable that they were doing that every night and acting like they were such good guys later on. It was disgusting
It felt like a Fincher, Tarantino, Jordan Peele type of movie directed by a "female"....I think it could of been more clever with the kills. The kills were messy and disoriented. I would liked more build up to the kills more plotting and more tension.
I would give it a 3, but as a femme you summarized my feelings exactly!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great movie
Movie was really good from start to the end. It's like watching a Diddy party or Epsteins island
Dreadful movie, waste of time and money. 2 out of 5 stars.
U cute
Real
Aw hellllll nahhh
Real
Was a solid. Film
Kravitz took the story from a book on Amazon Kindle published in 2016. That’s why the film is so disjointed.
Isn't that plagiarism
Prob paid for the rights for cheap.
5 stars
im sorry, 2.5????? atleast give it 3 or 3.5 bro with all the elements combine while exploring the theme "forgetting is a gift" not gonna give any spoilers but the conflict is about that and they execute it!
I just watched it, and I am soooo disturbed... 5 stars
I miss the original title of this movie
What was it
@@nerdydude1465pussy island

Cat island wow
I'm sure it's all about intersectionality from a sociology class....
Wrong Steve, take a break from the Fox News propaganda
Hated it.
Great film 🎥
We need talented directors not nepo babies. Im so tired of them really believing they have potential. Emma Roberts is one of the few ive found to be talented despite being julia roberts niece
Just having the movie reaching Jordan Peele and Ari Aster's level show how poorly educated you are on cinema and critics.
I don’t mind nepotism, because it’s everywhere. Nobody gets mad when Billy bob inherits his dads plumbing business, you know
But I do think the standard should be higher for the privileged since all they have going on is that leg up on everybody
Cheers
This was not bad.
This movie is fucked but not bad
I'm so excited to watch Blink Twice today it's one of my most highly anticipated movies of the year! ❤❤❤❤🎬🎥🎟️🎞️🍿🥤🍻🍺🍷🍸🍾🥂
It is absolute garbage just like 50 shades of days of our lives with cardboard acting from Dwane J er Channing.
Agreed
