Two lane is an excellent cult classic movie about the car culture of the 1960's & 70's, the 4 wheel version of Easy Rider. You either feel the movie deeply, or you don't, theres not much in-between.
He should have stopped after “was very gracious of you “..such an awesome plot. Traveling race car drivers. It really highlights a very specific period. Hippie , amateur drag racing... the lifestyle, culture. Etc..

first of all that remake of Joplin's Bobbie Mcgee DID NOT need to be made, makes no sense whatsoever for a man to sing it... 2nd of all, just doesn't make sense that Hellman went with the absurd remake than with the original....I mean what the hell...
Two really interesting Americans discussing a really great film. Loved watching this...
RIP to a real one
Kris is an absolute guru. Cheers
I was bored with him,....until.....he started talking about the Great James Taylor, saved the interview

Great road movie. People constantly misunderstand it.
Thanks a lot for sharing this! Big fan of both of the men.
Instead of listening to radio 2 ,just listen to this interview far more soothing..better than a hot bath.🙂
Hellman looks like Art Garfunkel
A great interview. I enjoyed it!

I was 14 when this movie came out.
A lot of artists don't like to hear their own singing.
Kris ,cooler than Steve McQueen.
Calling yourself a "Major James Taylor fan" is problem number 1, Problem 2 is your opinion of this movie.
My Cock thanks you
Could be a fouled plug .

BlacKnightRising You're joking right? :)
no YOU'RE joking, Joplin was the only one to pull that song off, simple as that...NO ONE else should or can...end of story
BlacKnightRising You know Kristofferson wrote it right? What you seem to be talking about is just a matter of taste.
and who made it FAMOUS? Janis did....it fit her 'voice'...just because someone wrote something doesn't mean they 'fit' the subject...there you go...
Kristofferson wrote it you fool .
I'm major James Taylor fan, but Two-Lane Blacktop is thee worst movie I've ever forced myself to watch
Liking James Taylor's music and not liking Two Lane Blacktop is a real indication of your level of taste.
silly bastard
@@patrickclark1000 lol
Most don’t get it. It generally goes over people’s heads.
