Jared, I wanted to thank you for all you do for the trading community. I watched this lecture last night and followed it up the lecture from March, 25th, about trading breakouts. This morning I applied what I'd learned in these 2 lectures. I was watching GNUS (yes again) in the premarket when it was down nearly 30%. I recognized what looked to be the start of a trend reversal. Normally I would have jumped in and maybe won or maybe lost. It would have worked out very well but the setup wasn't there yet so I waited. Once I saw a set up I liked at the price I like which allowed a very tight stop loss order I bought in, placed my stop, ended up raising the stop a couple times to lock in profits and ultimately closed with a 4R gain! This was the FIRST trade I made since I started a few months ago that I can say I was confident in, not nervous at all, not scared and jumping out earlier than I should have. If I was right I was confident it would be right to at least 2R and if I was wrong it would be no big deal. I placed one well planned and executed trade today instead of my normal 6 or 7. I made more than my goal for the day so I closed the platform and walked away with a smile, before 9:15! Again thank you for all you do. It is truly appreciated.
Jared, such good info here. I once had a very frank conversation with my teenagers who talked about themselves way too much. I explained as gently as I could that "no one really cares what you have to say about yourself." It was an important part of their maturity. Unfortunately, too few people learn this lesson which is why Social Media is so successful. No one cares what you have to say except your mom, your wife and your best friend, and then, only if you take an interest in them first!
I think we all need to hear the truth from loved ones because it means more coming from them, even if it takes us YEARS to fully appreciate the advice!

Jared you have no idea how much you are helping me.This was one of your best lectures to date. I day trade options bc my account is small under 2k. So taking your advice I always use a $10-$20 max stop. To limit my loss to no more than $20 daily. Because of this ive managed to not blow my account over the past 2 months since ive started live trading. It made me realize how jittery I am and micromanaging my stops out of fear of loss. Only to break even and then watch it hit target 10 min later and never touch my original stop mark. Working on reevaluating my plan and starting by not micromanaging my stops out of fear. I entering trades with a rational mindset but mid trade let my lizard brain kick in and making $3 profit, when if i had just let it develop more often then not I watch it hit target 10 min later. I've been feeling very lost and frustrated lately and this lecture has made me realize where I need to start to make change. Again thank you and Anmol for all the education you provide! This is the first topic out of many i've enjoyed. Jared does a great job. He is motivating you and giving you life gems without sugar coating it. I said it before when I came across my first video of Jared and I will say it again, this man knows his stuff. He is a real trader. Not these 100k a day con artists who live rented lives.
Jared actually gave an example of risk aversion vs risk seeking behavior last week (I think) when he put up a chart of an iffy buy setup and said "The reality is if you're having a good day, theres no way you would take this buy setup, but if you're down 1R or 2R you're probably gonna take it." Another great one Jared, thanks for the weekly uploads!

This video has helped me a lot. I've prepared and prepared, i joined a trading course, but my emotions always take over and I see myself behave contrary to what I expected. It's a great thing I'm using SIM and got a chance to truly know how I behave before trading with real money. Now I can work on making adjustments. I personally trade Forex so some of the patterns you teach and preach don´t translate that well, but the psychological partterns are spot on. Been trading for 6 months now and learning about management and real expectancies (in other words "not being stupid) is what has kept me in the game so far. You kick-started my trading in 2020. All I needed to do was hold my winners longer and release the losers longer. I definitely think differently in a trade now, and I'd rather make money than be right, which means giving up some winners trying to hold to target. Well worth though. Thanks!

Last 2 weeks been getting into daytrading and penny stocks bc of the recent explosion of GNUS and UONE. Had a great week last week putting 15% of my capital into one trade and got lucky and walked away with $5000. My hands were so jittery afterwards. And I had the opposite feeling. I realized that it was complete gambling and had no idea what I was doing. Decided to put this on pause until I’ve spent months studying and paper trading until I can show consistent profit all thanks to your videos. Keep up the good content!

You know what my problem has been in regards to psychology? I get out way too early. I hit 2R-3R and get out..... I mean... it is fine and I hit targets, but lose out on money due to getting out too early. There is an art to staying in the trade and just adjusting your stop. I love this bc there is so much to constantly learn as a person. Thanks for all that you do.
You're BEST Video to date Jared. I've been trading for a long time now - seen every possible situation. Blew up account, after account. Got in a trade, because the set up looked good.......got out because the trade didn't seem to be going anywhere, Only to see the trade would have made a 3 or 4 -1 Winner. if ONLY I had, had some patience. I used to blame brokers, market makers, etc. What changed my trading dramatically was watching the late Mark Douglas ( trader Psychologist - author of Trading in the Zone) he says, everything you've covered. We can all make Fantastic gains in the market. Trouble is......OUR HEAD -bullshit thoughts are the problem. That's why MOST Traders WON'T make it. Your mind will make or Break you Traders. Go and do some inward contemplating!!!!
Hey Jared, I lost 600 on a bullish pullback from yesterday's US30 enormous drop. When I first saw the charts and read the news I saw dollars signs and immediately got myself to the nearest computer only to lose money that I had earned. I am really young and I have really appreciated your guidance. I had been flipping this account for just a week thinking that my 1500 would hold in a US30 stock. My first excuse was "oh I didn't mean to put 0.03 lot size" then it was "I didn't have my indicators cause I was trading from my phone" and THEN it was "the price went back down after for whatever reason my account closed my trade in the negative" knowing full well that I could've lost as much money as I expected to earn, I put in the trade myself, and that I could my blow entire account on a 0.01 lot in US30. All of it was emotion. I consider myself lucky to not have lost it all in my foolishness. Once again I appreciate your guidance because since I have been trading for about 2-3 weeks, I never considered how my emotions and current market conditions correlate. In my loss, I consider how all of these conditions combined might be considered unlucky, but as you said at the end of the day I was the one who joined opportunity, capability, and probability together to get the unfortunate outcome of losing nearly half of my account. I am considering now constantly how much dedication and patience is needed in this process of steady account growth with little risk and high probability of long term success. At this point, I am coping with my "loss" as a lesson. I could have lost that money and learned nothing, but now I realize that I haven't been making money on big trades, only my small trades. Most of my profit has come from 0.01 lot sizes and constantly watching others to see what works for me. Thanks so much for this video. I can say I have come a long way in terms of self-awareness in just one hour.
You are a great lecturer Thank you for sharing your knowledge! About the 3/4bp. A 15' 3bp is a 1'/ 2' break out /down, like a tail is a turnaround pattern in lower tf. It may be difficult for some people to look simulaneously multiple stocks at multiple tf's and recognize the pattern at creation. The thing that worked for me was by luck, i was studying a trade that i took and realized that there was a 5' 4BP, i covered the chart and study it bar by bar at multiple tf's.
Jared is definitely spot on with the themes of inner-work, awareness and mindfulness in this video. Granted, these three precepts have a hint of spirituality (and that's a good thing) that are the foundation to success in all areas of life...not the least of which in our business, trading and and investment lives. I keep hearing other "gurus" say to not use hard stop losses because then the "money makers" will know how much you're willing to take on a trade. None of them have yet to explain how anyone other than your broker can see what your stop loss is on your platform. I'm not going to trust anything I hear from someone who tells me to not use a hard stop loss. I keep coming back to Jared's videos because he's right about money management.

Thank you very much Jared for this lesson. I've been trading since middle of March and at the moment break even. If I just would have had a a plan and a strategy from the beginning I'd maybe be profitable by now. My conclusion (when looking back at my trades) shows that it is all about phsycology. I've been exiting really nice trades too quickly, and stayed in the bad ones for too long (to Low/high PL). Now I'm at a standstill because I will not touch my account until I have a proper plan.

Last 2 weeks been getting into daytrading and penny stocks bc of the recent explosion of GNUS and UONE. Had a great week last week putting 15% of my capital into one trade and got lucky and walked away with $5000. My hands were so jittery afterwards. And I had the opposite feeling. I realized that it was complete gambling and had no idea what I was doing. Decided to put this on pause until I’ve spent months studying and paper trading until I can show consistent profit all thanks to your videos. Keep up the good content!

You know what my problem has been in regards to psychology? I get out way too early. I hit 2R-3R and get out..... I mean... it is fine and I hit targets, but lose out on money due to getting out too early. There is an art to staying in the trade and just adjusting your stop. I love this bc there is so much to constantly learn as a person. Thanks for all that you do.
Change your trading plan and then put in severe consequence system in place.

You're BEST Video to date Jared. I've been trading for a long time now - seen every possible situation. Blew up account, after account. Got in a trade, because the set up looked good.......got out because the trade didn't seem to be going anywhere, Only to see the trade would have made a 3 or 4 -1 Winner. if ONLY I had, had some patience. I used to blame brokers, market makers, etc.
What changed my trading dramatically was watching the late Mark Douglas ( trader Psychologist - author of Trading in the Zone) he
says, everything you've covered. We can all make Fantastic gains in the market. Trouble is......OUR HEAD -bullshit thoughts are the problem. That's why MOST Traders WON'T make it. Your mind will make or Break you Traders. Go and do some inward contemplating!!!!

Hey Jared, I lost 600 on a bullish pullback from yesterday's US30 enormous drop. When I first saw the charts and read the news I saw dollars signs and immediately got myself to the nearest computer only to lose money that I had earned. I am really young and I have really appreciated your guidance. I had been flipping this account for just a week thinking that my 1500 would hold in a US30 stock. My first excuse was "oh I didn't mean to put 0.03 lot size" then it was "I didn't have my indicators cause I was trading from my phone" and THEN it was "the price went back down after for whatever reason my account closed my trade in the negative" knowing full well that I could've lost as much money as I expected to earn, I put in the trade myself, and that I could my blow entire account on a 0.01 lot in US30. All of it was emotion. I consider myself lucky to not have lost it all in my foolishness. Once again I appreciate your guidance because since I have been trading for about 2-3 weeks, I never considered how my emotions and current market conditions correlate. In my loss, I consider how all of these conditions combined might be considered unlucky, but as you said at the end of the day I was the one who joined opportunity, capability, and probability together to get the unfortunate outcome of losing nearly half of my account. I am considering now constantly how much dedication and patience is needed in this process of steady account growth with little risk and high probability of long term success. At this point, I am coping with my "loss" as a lesson. I could have lost that money and learned nothing, but now I realize that I haven't been making money on big trades, only my small trades. Most of my profit has come from 0.01 lot sizes and constantly watching others to see what works for me. Thanks so much for this video. I can say I have come a long way in terms of self-awareness in just one hour.

About the 3/4bp. A 15' 3bp is a 1'/ 2' break out /down, like a tail is a turnaround pattern in lower tf.
It may be difficult for some people to look simulaneously multiple stocks at multiple tf's and recognize the pattern at creation.
The thing that worked for me was by luck, i was studying a trade that i took and realized that there was a 5' 4BP, i covered the chart and study it bar by bar at multiple tf's.
Jared is definitely spot on with the themes of inner-work, awareness and mindfulness in this video. Granted, these three precepts have a hint of spirituality (and that's a good thing) that are the foundation to success in all areas of life...not the least of which in our business, trading and and investment lives. Amazing work Jared... hope you can keep this super valuable content coming much longer!

I keep hearing other "gurus" say to not use hard stop losses because then the "money makers" will know how much you're willing to take on a trade. None of them have yet to explain how anyone other than your broker can see what your stop loss is on your platform. I'm not going to trust anything I hear from someone who tells me to not use a hard stop loss. I keep coming back to Jared's videos because he's right about money management.

I've been trading since middle of March and at the moment break even. If I just would have had a a plan and a strategy from the beginning I'd maybe be profitable by now.
My conclusion (when looking back at my trades) shows that it is all about phsycology. I've been exiting really nice trades too quickly, and stayed in the bad ones for too long (to Low/high PL).
Now I'm at a standstill because I will not touch my account until I have a proper plan.
