This would be a great stash buster for me - and a great present for my sewest friends. Is there a reason not to use acrylic yarn for this project? I inherited a lot of acrylic yarn that i need to use. It is older acrylic and not as soft and cuddly as the newer yarn and could be perfect for this. I know there are various reasons to use different yarns and wonder if acrylic would be okay for this project. Love this and am anxious to give it a try. Especially the smiley face! TFS
