  • Interested in making your own dog harness? In this crochet tutorial, I show you how to crochet a pet harness that is customizable to fit any size dog or cat. This dog harness is made from cotton yarn, so it shouldn't stretch when pulled. This harness is also very gentle and is ideal for dogs who don't fit into traditional sizes.

      Put the front arms through the opening, with the rings for the leash on the top.

      @@jennifergamblin1547 aww yes the smaller dogs seem to have that issue. That happens occasionally to our dog if he is running around a lot. I am so glad it helped!

    How is it connected to the dog i do not see any hooks to connect the two rings together

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  Год назад +2

      You connect the leash to the two key rings after placing the dogs legs through, and it holds in place 😀

      @@CrochetWithJulie ohhhhh duuuhhhj that’s right omg disregard that stupid comment! I do mot know what I was thinking? How do I know how large or small to make it for my dog?

    • @CrochetWithJulie
      @CrochetWithJulie  Год назад +3

      @@Value1lady no I appreciate you asking so I can make sure to show it next time (he is hyper and difficult to film up close lol). The timing couldn’t be better because I am finishing up a doggie jacket for him lol. I usually begin crocheting it, then do a little trial and error with Charlie to figure out how long to make the straps. Before you attach the strap to the other key ring, test it. I also try not to cut and tie off my yarn until I get it right since it is such a quick project. You want it to be a little snug because it will stretch. You can also make the straps different lengths if your dog needs, for any reason. Every dog is a little different. I hope this helps, but if not I can explain further/better. Happy crocheting and thank you!

      @@CrochetWithJulie thank you for the reply! I'm actually thinking very seriously of going into business for myself, making and selling these. After I made my (toy Chiweenie) one w/ this pattern, I thought right away how I would love to be able to offer it to other people with tiny dogs. Believe it or not, it is extremely hard to find harnesses for xs dogs. This particular pattern is stunning on so many levels.🌿
