For spotlight caches what they should do is when you get to/go past a spotlight it should auto collect it for you like a bank. And in the top corner it should have the icon and show you how many spotlights you have available to open if you want to and you can open them any time. That way there’s no endless scrolling to go find where they are to open them. It’s just an icon at the top letting you know you have like 2 available
You don’t have to endlessly scroll, if you click on your cl it will take you to your oldest cache which would be a saved spotlight. Just open it and then open your track again.

@@araisikewai because on PC, when we see mobile written on a game, we don't play it...and it really kills the momentum of that game on that platform as a result. Look at hearthstone and magic the gathering for example...there, the number of players on PC is actually bigger than the ones on Mobile!
I don't think you can target lets say inked splits. I think this refers to just the normal qualities and just lets you mass upgrade it to ultra or infinite if you got the credits and boosters. Might be wrong, tho. But I kinda like the split randomness. All I need are customizable frames now D: just let me pick the color.

For draft I'd like to see 6 cards (1 cost, 2 cost , 3 etc.) And you pick 1 card 12 times. That way I believe you'll have a decent curve instead of X number of random cards you can pick from.
the way the prestige tracker sounds will be a series of albums showing you all the variants of an artist or set and you gain rewards for milestones that involve each album. so you have 200 pixel variants in the game and you get a reward for owning 25-50-75-100-125-150-175-200, so if youre at 99 and want the reward you are pulling to grab a free pixel. or the albums are set to the characters instead so theres 25 magik variants and you collect all of them you get rewards specific to magik like a special variant, sleeves, avatar, etc.
yeah. when they said 'albums' I think it's like collecting specific character's or specific artist's variant to complete a certain level and basically trade these albums collection in for a set of rewards, and I certainly hope it's thematic. I'll dream for more than titles and card backs, like a Magik-themed lobby or smth
I think this is a big misstep on the Collector Caches. I'm currently sitting on 12 gold tickets and definitely won't be using all of them by the end of this season. The average math for rewards in the caches may stay the same, but it feels like they are less rewarding. They should add back in the gold and more tokens to make them feel worthwhile again. At this point I'm just hording them until they improve the rewards.
I mean - controller support is big if you think about it. It would enable them to port it to consoles. Like Switch! Would I like to play Snap! on Nintendo Switch? Hell yeah!

they won't. someone from the dev team said that it defeats the purpose of snap which is collecting cards which not always having all the cards. there wouldnt be a point to playing and trying to unlock new cards as they come out if u just get all of them in draft.

Draft, as a self contained mode with its own set of rewards and costs to enter as a walled garden separate from conquest and ranked, would have no meaningful impact on the collection mechanics for the main game. Like if you look at other successful digital card games (Hearthstone, Magic Arena, LoR) that have draft modes this has never made players think "oh okay, I can just play the draft mode and never collect cards".

I’m still hoping that they make an update wherein once a border is unlocked for a certain card/variant, we can change it to that even when the card is upgraded. There are times I’m hesitant to upgrade a card because the border looks so good on it but I end up upgrading it to continue seeing what splits would get me.
Out of all of this, I am most excited about the thing everyone glossed over - Albums. I imagine it's gonna be a thing where we can see all of our variants of one type - Venomized, Chibi, Hipp, etc. And it appears we will have rewards for completing an album which will make variant hunting even more fun!
A lot of good stuff in this roadmap. Beyond happy for the PC launch. Still not opening Collector's Caches until they are made better than what is stated. Even the ability to get 100 gold from them would get me to open them again.

The way they describe prestige makes me think it's just going to be another rewards track like collecion level but it goes up when you unlock a cosmetic instead of when you upgrade a card.
Yeah, that's exactly what I think. Like, every cosmetic is +1 or +2 Prestige level or whatever, then you get rewards on the track. Disney Speedstorm does something similar. Whenever you unlock new racers or paint or costumes, etc, it acts like an EXP to fill up your Collection Level, and give rewards

Understandable that you guys have to say that this roadmap is amazing, as you earn income from snap and get in game bonuses, but c'mon lol. This is actual trash. Collector Reserves are garbage, no picking which border we want, no expanded deck slots, no destroyed/discarded cards list. The devs don't listen, and it's very apparent. The game is going full gacha and P2W with being able to upgrade cards via gold now as well.
I kinda wish they'd spent their time making the card borders choosable instead of multi-upgrades but, as Dekks says, first-world problem for sure. Still, great to see them making changes for the better

They are just different feeling clicks. When you upgrade your good looking card you are happy every time but when you click to mute toxic player 7th time in a match that's annoying

It would be cool to have Spotlight Caches have their own section, so when you get one it’ll grey out & move to its own section OFF OF THE COLLECTION LEVEL track. It’s so annoying trying to view the collection level track and having to scroll up so far if you’re saving up your spotlights. Hold to open is a good idea, but could definitely be better.
I pretty sure that what they said about Prestige Level means that you will get rewards for having Variants, avatars, card backs and so on. It would make players a little less annoyed when they get an avatar or a title, because now you will get rewards for those as well.
if you gave them feedback they had you choose if you were interested in an idle game mode where you train a bot on your cards to battle other peoples bots!
I suggested that they add a leader ability to the game, similar to games like Gwent. An extra ability that players can use once during the game and can either be chosen from random at the start of the game or a pre-selected ability that’s tied to the deck you’re using. It would be cool if leader abilities are tied to a certain character, which stands to the side of the locations. Each leader could be customised with skins and animations etc.
rewarding mostly whales yet again. I'm not quite s3 complete yet but I'm very close and i truly cannot wait to hit 6 gold tickets in a row on the limited amount of caches i'll be able to open as a f2p. at least 50 tokens would have been something good guaranteed each time i pulled from an empty card cache. mythic variants, ultimate variant evolutions, upgrade with gold, and the prestige track are all also probably going to be geared more towards whales as well just like spotlight variants and the conquest shop are. truly annoying that the perks of being a whale keep growing and growing while f2ps only get a couple crumbs every now and then.
I'm sorry, but I have to finally say this to you Cozy. The uncritical approach you take to Snap and it's creation borders on paid advertisement. Almost every change to Snap this year has been in the name of monetization, yet you seem oblivious to this fact most of the time. You awkwardly and cautiously sing the game's praises when the things you are praising are almost wholly negative for the player. This kind of coverage only guarantees that Snap will get worse over time, not better.

A guild/clan system could introduce more ways to unlock titles/variants/avatars (or avatar borders). The guild has to accomplish goals and missions to unlock these rewards
I like making team decks and would like formats or abilities or cards encouraging that. I’ve been making team based decks and as I swap out cards to tighten their strengths they just turn into the same core decks. Maybe I need more cards… And also a better way of organising your decks would be nice.
not gonna lie, this roadmap misses the mark for me. That cache change is abhorrent. Getting gold tickets is USELESS as the rewards you can earn in the shop are finite beyond random boosters. Plus, it being a 50/50 means you could go on a run of getting *no tokens*. I like the upping to 100 from 50, but that is hard to praise considering that we used to get way more in the first place. Why did Second Dinner make a card game if they DON"T WANT PEOPLE TO COLLECT CARDS? The caches are still terrible and I don't know why they can't figure it out as it is literally what the game is built around outside of the actual gameplay. I'm someone who is S3 complete and lightly spends money from time-to-time as I do genuinely enjoy the game, but I am getting waaaay less cards as my tokens have dropped; I don't get new actual cards I want unless I save tokens for them. Additionally, we still don't have any word on customizable borders (for previous upgrade colors) at Infinity rarity when it has been a widely speculated feature since Beta. Anddddd don't even get me started on no mention of a requested draft mode, albeit that's a lot smaller of an ask compared to the other core components that need upgraded. Also, the idea of them adding "Mythic Variants" is laughable to me. Literally nobody gets Ultimate Variants since the token change so what is even the point? They''ll put all that effort into "extra effects" and voicelines instead of adding animations, voicelines, etce. to base cards that don't have any. I don't mind them adding cosmetic stuff like that for whales (as those are the players keeping the lights on) but when so many other stuff for lower-tier cosmetics, card acquisition, etc still need fixing it is almost disrespectful to even mention. Man, sometimes I feel like with these changes that the company has no idea what they're doing. Anyways, glad to see you and Dekkster doing well and am happy the livestream went well!

Not sure I want less Bots. Everyone says ladder rank doesn’t matter, but they also say infinite is too easy now because of bots? I’ve only been to 100 the last 3 seasons. I know personally if I get stuck on ladder I pretty much stop playing, and being 100 let’s me mess with weird home brew decks, which is the best part of snap. If bots are making the climb easier, why is that a bad thing, especially without an unranked mode or way to pause your rank (not fall) until 100?
Upgrade cards, get cards. Less cards you have, you start to fall behind the Meta. Yes you can. Ake f2p decks but a vast majority are inharently weaker. All this to say being able to spend gold on card upgrades is going to insure that my months of hard work goes for nothing when I've got 4 spotlight caches in a month and this guy with the deep pockets over wherever has an infinite number of them. More than a pay to win scenario it just becomes disheartening. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if s4/5 redraws didn't also get you tokens now. So now you can have every card in the game with just a little bit of money and.... How is that any different from just making a resource and letting us craft cards we want like Hearthstone? Anyways I hope the gold for upgrades thing gets nixed personally.
Cozy I love your content but I also know that you're a whale and in game currency pretty much doesn't matter to you. Despite that, I was expecting you guys to go harder on the Collector's Reserve change, since the community at large has a big problem with them. 100 tokens plus a gold ticket in Collector's Reserves still does not feel good. A gold ticket is useless to those of us that do not play conquest. SD is slowly making this game P2P bc of how difficult they make it to earn in game currency. It would be cool if some of you content creators would speak more on this. The community as a whole has been incredibly vocal about this and yet SD refuses to acknowledge the problem. Even though gold and token acquisition is an afterthought to you, to many of us its a huge deal and limits our enjoyment of the game

Updrade with gold is very very bad. Cause 1 it makes it so you can indirectly get new cards with money (cause you can rush to the spotlight crates & caches). 2. It is very easy now to increase the credit/booster cost for upgrading and ruin it all.
I'm not sure how many players a PC Launch is going to attract. If they weren't interested when it's on mobile, why would a new client make much difference?
Putting Gold Tickets in chests is literally a dead pull for me because i dont like conquest. They couldve just given us gold. Especially with them not doing booster magnets and instead letting us upgrade cards with gold

12:15 two days ago, I clicked on my collection track, scrolled, and then was given 1000 tokens for opening a spotlight. I didn't want to open that spotlight.
So wait, I can already go and open 12 caches and not get a single 50 token or 100 tokens, but now I will go 16 to 18 without opening one because of these conquest, tickets being put into these caches?
I'd like to be able to organize cards by power level instead of just rarity , upgradeable , energy , ect... power should be an option and an obvious one too.

The steam version is basically just a mobile version on PC. Even in full screen it has the same resolution as your phone and is played as a bar down the middle of the screen.

They were asking about specific new game modes in the survey, so presumably they will prioritise based on what most people wants.
Tourney mode would be good for the game mode. You buy in with gold or some other form of currency with 8 players and 1-3 gets paid out.

A lot of good stuff in this roadmap. Beyond happy for the PC launch. Still not opening Collector's Caches until they are made better than what is stated. Even the ability to get 100 gold from them would get me to open them again.

The way they describe prestige makes me think it's just going to be another rewards track like collecion level but it goes up when you unlock a cosmetic instead of when you upgrade a card.
Yeah, that's exactly what I think. Like, every cosmetic is +1 or +2 Prestige level or whatever, then you get rewards on the track.
Disney Speedstorm does something similar. Whenever you unlock new racers or paint or costumes, etc, it acts like an EXP to fill up your Collection Level, and give rewards

Opened my spotlight cache and got 1000 credits instead of legion, dark hawk, or high evo. Never been more disappointed in a game.

Like seriously we don't need more conquest tickets. I play maybe an hour a day and have over 40 of them. There is nothing worth buying in that shop anyway. Just yuck.
Understandable that you guys have to say that this roadmap is amazing, as you earn income from snap and get in game bonuses, but c'mon lol. This is actual trash. Collector Reserves are garbage, no picking which border we want, no expanded deck slots, no destroyed/discarded cards list. The devs don't listen, and it's very apparent. The game is going full gacha and P2W with being able to upgrade cards via gold now as well.

I zoned out of Snap for the last two months. A PC release might definitely bring me back to the game for a while.

They are just different feeling clicks. When you upgrade your good looking card you are happy every time but when you click to mute toxic player 7th time in a match that's annoying
I like seeing my cards upgrade, so clicking for each one is more rewarding for me. having to mute someone toxic EVERY match is just annoying.
Most exciting here for me is the infinity split improvements. I want new borders and splits to chase

And probably asking too much, but a game-mode, or training area where you can set-up the board like a dev and test card interactions for your future knowledge
I just wish they would let you reorder your decks. Seems like an easy thing that should be in there already.
It would be cool to have Spotlight Caches have their own section, so when you get one it’ll grey out & move to its own section OFF OF THE COLLECTION LEVEL track. It’s so annoying trying to view the collection level track and having to scroll up so far if you’re saving up your spotlights. Hold to open is a good idea, but could definitely be better.
also playerbase on consoles is huge. No idea why they dont make a console version

I pretty sure that what they said about Prestige Level means that you will get rewards for having Variants, avatars, card backs and so on.
It would make players a little less annoyed when they get an avatar or a title, because now you will get rewards for those as well.
if you gave them feedback they had you choose if you were interested in an idle game mode where you train a bot on your cards to battle other peoples bots!

I suggested that they add a leader ability to the game, similar to games like Gwent. An extra ability that players can use once during the game and can either be chosen from random at the start of the game or a pre-selected ability that’s tied to the deck you’re using. It would be cool if leader abilities are tied to a certain character, which stands to the side of the locations. Each leader could be customised with skins and animations etc.

rewarding mostly whales yet again. I'm not quite s3 complete yet but I'm very close and i truly cannot wait to hit 6 gold tickets in a row on the limited amount of caches i'll be able to open as a f2p. at least 50 tokens would have been something good guaranteed each time i pulled from an empty card cache. mythic variants, ultimate variant evolutions, upgrade with gold, and the prestige track are all also probably going to be geared more towards whales as well just like spotlight variants and the conquest shop are. truly annoying that the perks of being a whale keep growing and growing while f2ps only get a couple crumbs every now and then.

I'm sorry, but I have to finally say this to you Cozy. The uncritical approach you take to Snap and it's creation borders on paid advertisement. Almost every change to Snap this year has been in the name of monetization, yet you seem oblivious to this fact most of the time. You awkwardly and cautiously sing the game's praises when the things you are praising are almost wholly negative for the player. This kind of coverage only guarantees that Snap will get worse over time, not better.

A guild/clan system could introduce more ways to unlock titles/variants/avatars (or avatar borders). The guild has to accomplish goals and missions to unlock these rewards
I like making team decks and would like formats or abilities or cards encouraging that. I’ve been making team based decks and as I swap out cards to tighten their strengths they just turn into the same core decks. Maybe I need more cards…
And also a better way of organising your decks would be nice.
Leaderboards are long long overdue, it's honestly kind of wild a game this big this far in doesn't have something as basic as that.
not gonna lie, this roadmap misses the mark for me. That cache change is abhorrent. Getting gold tickets is USELESS as the rewards you can earn in the shop are finite beyond random boosters. Plus, it being a 50/50 means you could go on a run of getting *no tokens*. I like the upping to 100 from 50, but that is hard to praise considering that we used to get way more in the first place. Why did Second Dinner make a card game if they DON"T WANT PEOPLE TO COLLECT CARDS? The caches are still terrible and I don't know why they can't figure it out as it is literally what the game is built around outside of the actual gameplay. I'm someone who is S3 complete and lightly spends money from time-to-time as I do genuinely enjoy the game, but I am getting waaaay less cards as my tokens have dropped; I don't get new actual cards I want unless I save tokens for them. Additionally, we still don't have any word on customizable borders (for previous upgrade colors) at Infinity rarity when it has been a widely speculated feature since Beta. Anddddd don't even get me started on no mention of a requested draft mode, albeit that's a lot smaller of an ask compared to the other core components that need upgraded.
Also, the idea of them adding "Mythic Variants" is laughable to me. Literally nobody gets Ultimate Variants since the token change so what is even the point? They''ll put all that effort into "extra effects" and voicelines instead of adding animations, voicelines, etce. to base cards that don't have any. I don't mind them adding cosmetic stuff like that for whales (as those are the players keeping the lights on) but when so many other stuff for lower-tier cosmetics, card acquisition, etc still need fixing it is almost disrespectful to even mention. Man, sometimes I feel like with these changes that the company has no idea what they're doing.

“Upgrade with Gold” is not strictly cosmetic. Every card upgrade is more CL, which leads to more Spotlight Caches.
They are COMPLETELY missing the mark on Spotlight cashes and their reason WHY they introduced it to us.
Like litterly gtfo.. i dont want gold conquest tickets or 100 tokens, its still abyssmal small compared to what we have before.. also NOT getting new cards with this trash new spotlight system for complete collections.. i dont wanna spend money to progress my track only to RNG/Gacha a variant..

Getting just 1000 Tokens from Spotlight Caches still feels bad. Not even adding a gold ticket would suffice. If they could do 2000 tokens then maybe it's enough.
The controller support hand icon would be great if we have multiple options. Like infinity gauntlet or wolverine with the claws out (the claws move the cards lol)
Not sure I want less Bots. Everyone says ladder rank doesn’t matter, but they also say infinite is too easy now because of bots? I’ve only been to 100 the last 3 seasons.
I know personally if I get stuck on ladder I pretty much stop playing, and being 100 let’s me mess with weird home brew decks, which is the best part of snap. If bots are making the climb easier, why is that a bad thing, especially without an unranked mode or way to pause your rank (not fall) until 100?
Upgrade cards, get cards. Less cards you have, you start to fall behind the Meta. Yes you can. Ake f2p decks but a vast majority are inharently weaker.
All this to say being able to spend gold on card upgrades is going to insure that my months of hard work goes for nothing when I've got 4 spotlight caches in a month and this guy with the deep pockets over wherever has an infinite number of them. More than a pay to win scenario it just becomes disheartening. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if s4/5 redraws didn't also get you tokens now. So now you can have every card in the game with just a little bit of money and.... How is that any different from just making a resource and letting us craft cards we want like Hearthstone?
Anyways I hope the gold for upgrades thing gets nixed personally.
Cozy I love your content but I also know that you're a whale and in game currency pretty much doesn't matter to you. Despite that, I was expecting you guys to go harder on the Collector's Reserve change, since the community at large has a big problem with them. 100 tokens plus a gold ticket in Collector's Reserves still does not feel good. A gold ticket is useless to those of us that do not play conquest. SD is slowly making this game P2P bc of how difficult they make it to earn in game currency. It would be cool if some of you content creators would speak more on this. The community as a whole has been incredibly vocal about this and yet SD refuses to acknowledge the problem. Even though gold and token acquisition is an afterthought to you, to many of us its a huge deal and limits our enjoyment of the game

Dekkster don't know his history. Hearthstone is a full pc desktop blizzard game at first not a mobile game, the main UI work on HS was made for the mobile version.

Updrade with gold is very very bad.
Cause
1 it makes it so you can indirectly get new cards with money (cause you can rush to the spotlight crates & caches).
2. It is very easy now to increase the credit/booster cost for upgrading and ruin it all.
I'm not sure how many players a PC Launch is going to attract. If they weren't interested when it's on mobile, why would a new client make much difference?
Changes to caches are a joke. I hope content creators help push back against this stuff. Gold conquest tickets? Literally nobody asking for this.
Putting Gold Tickets in chests is literally a dead pull for me because i dont like conquest. They couldve just given us gold. Especially with them not doing booster magnets and instead letting us upgrade cards with gold
If they remove avatars and titles from caches I’m ok with having gold tickets as a reward otherwise Is kinda bad for me, especially after they removed gold and reduced significantly collector’s tokens…aside from that everything seems to be good
12:15 two days ago, I clicked on my collection track, scrolled, and then was given 1000 tokens for opening a spotlight. I didn't want to open that spotlight.
I would like a draft mode, I want many less clicks to play conquest, I would like to be able to change the border of cards to anything I have unlocked
So wait, I can already go and open 12 caches and not get a single 50 token or 100 tokens, but now I will go 16 to 18 without opening one because of these conquest, tickets being put into these caches?
I'd like to be able to organize cards by power level instead of just rarity , upgradeable , energy , ect... power should be an option and an obvious one too.
If we can't sync the Android account into the PC version it will be a kill shot for F2P players that hv poured months into it to get some specific cards

The steam version is basically just a mobile version on PC. Even in full screen it has the same resolution as your phone and is played as a bar down the middle of the screen.

Upgrading cards with gold is getting pretty close to paying to “win” cause you wouldn’t need to play the game to upgrade collection. Hoping that they make it so if you upgrade with gold it doesn’t upgrade you collection which would still be good and take away the pay to “win” edge

4:10 It's potentially annoying that they would be changing the music as I really enjoy the default one we have. If they add the option to change/select the tracks then that would be an improvement.
