When I import an object, the object is almost completely black except for parts in the direction of the sun (yes, I did turn on fix ambient materials).
HI Flux, I realy love your channle. I have 2 questions: 1. Can you recommend a place to get custom objects? I tried to find by myself but with no luck... :/ 2. Can you teach us how u did the entrance scenery in your Voyager roller coaster? Especially the nice looking walk ways and the little stone wall. Looking forward to see any progress with the coaster. Thank you.
Bonbon1948 yea I'm looking to this too. I know someone who could knock buildings out fast in autocad, but I'm not asking him for that. Lol. I'm sure there is stuff out there for free. It would be cool if you could input all 4 sides of a building and have the program put it together would be neat. Lol
So if I got your explenation correctly, you also have to include the textures that you used in the same folder as you saved the coaster and the 3ds in? If so, where in my file system can I find sketchup's materials / textures? Been looking all over but can't find 'em. I applied a material in sketchup and just loaded it in without saving the textures in the same folder, and some panels of my custom object were still white while others had textures on them.
I want to import looping ambient sounds into the environment of my rides (such as music, people, etc) How do I create a "sound box" that would allow me to position where I want my sounds to be played?
for me it say,s cannot load scene object and the path from the object i have all stuff in the folder from my park the .3ds and the textures (.jpg) fpr the .3ds model but it stucks if i would set the model. Please help me. Sorry for my bad english im a german one :D
ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS??? TRY THIS: Mine wasn't working because i couldn't find the model when opening the NL2SCO editor, even though i could click "choose..." and find it. So in sketch-up, i was playing around and i exported it, inside the park file, as a .dae file, not a .3ds file, but a .dae file. Now when i click 'choose...' i can place it and have no lighting bugs or any sort of bugs whatsoever!!
You mean a .nl2park file that you downloaded online? You can actually just go to "play" in-game, and locate the file from within the window that pops up, and you can open it. I made a folder on my desktop called "NoLimits 2" that contains them all.
as of now, the process of doing that is not super cut-and-dry. You have to export a light map of the coaster, which creates a solid "block" where the spline of the coaster is. It's not super easy to work with, but it'll give you something you can use. There are a few tutorials out there if you google and look around
Hello little question how to make so that my 3d object can be taken by hand as a souvenir? Script ?
When I import an object, the object is almost completely black except for parts in the direction of the sun (yes, I did turn on fix ambient materials).
If you get a black screen, change the quality to 720p. It's a RUclips error that occurs temporarily during processing.
why it doesent work i wanna do it to i put in my file bit i see nothing in my no limits
+Fluxtrance How to get textures on it? if i put it in my NoLimits 2, it is white. what's the problem?
Hey, what other free 3d softwares that are free that I can I use to create and transport to no limits 2?
You have to make sure the textures are in the same folder as the object, usually in a subfolder.
Export using .dae instead of .3ds. I had issues with missing textures, or textures in wrong places using .3ds

Awesome tutorial!
And i was wondering what that clock thingy on your dekstop is called
it's a program called "rainmeter" that lets you script (or copy script) icons and other gadgets onto your desktop. It's pretty handy
***** Thanks for replying, now i have tried searching skins, but i couldn't find anything as appealing as your, what is that one called?
It's a custom skin I made, combining a few different skins. I like the "Techno" skin a lot

Does this work for .rar files as well?
I'm trying to import the NL2 foliage package by N7
I want to import looping ambient sounds into the environment of my rides (such as music, people, etc) How do I create a "sound box" that would allow me to position where I want my sounds to be played?
***** i need to know that too :/

FLUX, THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS WAS SO HELPFUL HOW DOES THIS HAVE TWO DISLIKES
You can use the free version of sketch-up but only for a limited time so i just keep re-installing when the pro trial thingy is over :P
It keeps saying \Documents\com.nolimitscoaster.nolimits2\Fireblade\Test.nl2sco: Cannot load scene object. Check the message console for details.
you can use sketch up 2016 or sketch up make to get around the whole pro thing as both programs export to .3Ds
Doesn't work with DAE, it says 'file not found' but it is in the same folder.
How do you add a custom logo to the front of the trains instead of having the default nolimits logo???
I have buy the Sketchup version, but there is no export 3ds...
***** Are you still planning to release the object pack because it would be very helpful :)
What's up you with your background ? How do you get these ?
Probably rainmeter

A very helpful video! Thanks!
Might as well ask now. :P How do you get a downloaded track into your game?

Thank you so much :D
How do I import sounds off my pc into my park?
thank you very much. super helpful video
It doesn't work for me... He cant find the texture while it is just next to it in the park folder.
Does it work with Sketch up Make too?
Is there a way to reverse the process and put a NoLimits 2 coaster into sketchup?

Actually, *.dae works as well. I usually use .dae files as they are compatible with NL2 and MUCH easier to use.
Hello, I know this comment was posted a year ago, but how did you put the .dae file into no limits 2? I can't find it in the folder.
@@GameProFuture at the bottom, set the file type to .dae on the import box
Help please i i keep getting white areas where texture should be why ;(( i tried re texturing and it did the same thing
You have to reverse the faces and paint the gray side of your model before exporting it into your park.
Evan Wehler aha thanks i worked it out now :)
My sketchup does not export the textures with the 3ds files :(
.dae can work, but is a bit buggy
thanks, this really helped!
How much is SketchUp pro??!!
Really usefull Thanks!! :D
so how do you do it if you have the free version ?
It shouldn't be any different
ok
Silly me actually thought this word work. Just wasted myself a bunch of time
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCHHHHH
Did not work :(
So I'm guessing you made the rock pack?? Lol
did you really pay 590$ for 3D modeling????
can you send me a link on where to buy what you use please .-.
hi
You Don't NEED 3DS Files, You Can Use COLLADA Files Too!
Check out No Gravity Gaming!!
Is your program really 300 dollars a year? Got any options that don't hurt the ol' wallet?
it didn't even help me
How do you scale objects in NL2? Even if I do the .nl2sco thing I cant scale them.
