Thank you so much for making this video. I just bought my first walking foot and I thought I had it properly installed. But the needle was hitting where it should not. At first I thought I had been sent a walking foot that did not fit my machine. It took me 24 hours before turning to RUclips to see if I could figure out the issue, then I found your video. The issue was not having the arm of the foot placed on the needle bar. Thanks again for the very clear explanation!

Thank you for your instructions on the walking foot. I had a stroke and have to basically learn to sew again . I love to sew and be creative. just got this machine when this happened. I have to learn what everything is used for. I understood you clearly. I have to learn left handed as right side was Effected. You helped me to be able to do something I use to do, and enjoy.
    Thank you so much,
Teacher. Can't wait till next lesson. I was trying to make hot pads and they were difficult the walking foot helped. Went easier.

Good video , I actually bought a machine that has a Walking Foot Mechanism but I’ve always wondered how the universal ones worked BTW you have very pretty hands for demonstrating craft work on video I’m retired now but I was a Construction supervisor for over 25 years and I used to get a lot of strange looks at the Fabric stores I shopped at by older female customers the store employees knew me but the customers didn’t and I would let those know that yes I do sew , but I sew Manly things like Boat cushions , Canvas , and Vintage Automobile Interiors ! My sewing machine will sew canvas onto a Wooden Yard Stick if I wanted to do so yet reality was I did sew Vinyl and Leather onto 1/8” plywood for door and interior covers on cars

I too did not think I could make use of a walking foot. boy how wrong was I! It is seldom I now sew without it as it seems so much more effortless to have fabrics line up and seam well. Yes I waited too long also, but that is the great thing about any crafty pursuit - you can discover new things and enhance the joy of making.
