@Rowan Braden i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you so much for making this video. I just bought my first walking foot and I thought I had it properly installed. But the needle was hitting where it should not. At first I thought I had been sent a walking foot that did not fit my machine. It took me 24 hours before turning to RUclips to see if I could figure out the issue, then I found your video. The issue was not having the arm of the foot placed on the needle bar. Thanks again for the very clear explanation!
o my o my....Ive just watched 3 videos and you are the only one who made it understandable. SUB FOR LIFE. most channels are for the woman who has been at this for 20 years. i just started 4 months ago...i mean seriously 4 months and i couldnt figure it out. well Ashley charmed to have met you and ill be adding you to my watch list. love to you and all quilting friends who dont mind teaching. Thanks
Thank you soo much for actually showing how to install from the back.I watched a few other videos and they acted like we should just know , and didn't show how to attach. THANKS.👍🏻
OMG! I thought I was the only one terrified of this foot. When I got it I was so intimidated! I got it for Christmas and I am just attempting to learn how to use it. THANK YOU so much!
Thank you for your instructions on the walking foot. I had a stroke and have to basically learn to sew again . I love to sew and be creative. just got this machine when this happened. I have to learn what everything is used for. I understood you clearly. I have to learn left handed as right side was Effected. You helped me to be able to do something I use to do, and enjoy. Thank you so much, Teacher. Can't wait till next lesson. I was trying to make hot pads and they were difficult the walking foot helped. Went easier.
I echo. FANTASTIC VIDEO! This is a total game changer when it comes to sewing quilts or thick layers of fabric you want to keep in place. Totally solved the puckering. Instructions are super clear!
My son just bought me a walking foot and yes I found it a little intimidating but now I watched your tutorial it explains everything. Thankyou so much for showing us merry Christmas. Xxx
So it's midnight and I've spent two days trying to see a super structured stretchy fabric and troubleshooting my twin needle setup only to find this video which saved my Life!!!! Thank You! I used the walking for and it's Amazing!!!
Thank You so much you helped me alot .i just got my sewing machine and started quilting .i ordered the walking foot and thought OMG now what's do it do next .You are such a good help .Susan From Eastern Shore MD.
Thank you,had a walking foot for years, also did quilting for years.watched you this morning and wala. Wonderful.now quilting my wall hanging I’ve had put aside a year now. Your instructions are great to understand . Gert 🇨🇦
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! You shared useful information with your “chatter”!The different camera angles were very helpful. I’m going to try to use this foot with slippery fabrics. 🤞
Thank You very much. You explained the instillation off the walking foot soo well and you didn’t block the process with your hands. You explained and showed everything as “YOU” wanted to see it done. I’m very glad that I chose your’s to watch! I subscribed because of these things ❤️
Watching through the end where you apologize for chatting, I honestly think you talk the exact right amount. I needed your full explanation, calming voice, and moral support lmao. Crushed this video so glad I found your channel ✨
THIS IS A FANTASTIC VIDEO! Most helpful intro to Walking Foot I’ve found. THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH! EDIT: successfully installed & used walking foot last night to sew a Halloween costume. I love it! Never taking it off 😆
Your video was much better than the official tutoring video from my sewing machine company!! Thanks for your hand not blocking the view! Good explanation!
i have been apprehensive about using the walking foot since i got my brother almost 3yrs ago bc i thought it was strictly for quilting but now i know how to make perfectly parallel lines instead of eyeballing with the tiny guides- thank you!!!
I was having trouble with skipped stitches when doing zigzag stitching on lycra, I got a walking foot and absolutely no skipped stitches on lycra anymore, worth every penny, thanks for this video
I had never changed the foot on my machine in the almost year that I have had it. THANK YOU so much for this amazing video! I am taking an appliqué class today and they recommend using a walking foot. This Brother CS7205 is the best little machine ever!!
Good video , I actually bought a machine that has a Walking Foot Mechanism but I’ve always wondered how the universal ones worked BTW you have very pretty hands for demonstrating craft work on video I’m retired now but I was a Construction supervisor for over 25 years and I used to get a lot of strange looks at the Fabric stores I shopped at by older female customers the store employees knew me but the customers didn’t and I would let those know that yes I do sew , but I sew Manly things like Boat cushions , Canvas , and Vintage Automobile Interiors ! My sewing machine will sew canvas onto a Wooden Yard Stick if I wanted to do so yet reality was I did sew Vinyl and Leather onto 1/8” plywood for door and interior covers on cars
I've had the walking foot in its box for such a long time. I've struggled and struggled with sewing my edges and stuff on the quilt. Thankfully I decided to look on RUclips on how to use it. Nothing to be scared of at all. Lol.
Thank you so so much! I was just about ready to put it back in the package and return it. I thought it wouldn't work on my machine. I got it on there easily with your direction and I'm ready to go!
This was extremely helpful to me! Thank you for talking through and explaining everything so well! I would still be looking bug-eyed at my walking foot and the accessory if I didn't find your video!
Gurlllll....thank you. You can not imagine how many videos I have watched and then came you!!! I have had my “scary Mary” for about 2 years, eyeing each other and it goes back into the drawer. Well, thank you....finnnaaalllyyyy!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was about to give up and take my machine to a dealer to get someone to show me. The other videos I found didn't go into detail like yours does. Now I can finish my quilt!
Thank you for this tutorial! I just purchased a walking foot and guide for my furry pillow project. Now I understand how it works and how to install it.
OMG! Thank you for this informative video. I have been using a walking foot BUT did not know there is a correct way to use it. Mine was NOT originally with my machine - I bought after. (have an older model machine without all the bells and whistles) Thank you so much. My walking foot made a lot of noises until I learnt from you how to install properly. NOW it works like it should and is so quiet. I use it for most of my sewing, now I can see more. Can't thank you enough!
I bought one to help me sew slippery fabrics and there were no instructions on the package. Then it said it for quilting which I haven’t tried yet. So I’m glad you mentioned that it’s useful for preventing slipping and moving unequally. I’ll keep.
Thanks!! Some people hats it and tell me to just do the video and stop talking lol but I like to actually talk to my viewers as and try to connect! If ur not already follow me on www.Facebook.com/charmedbyashley to share your creations!
Oh my gosh!! Miraculously, I just found your walking foot video, and I’m SO HaPpY I did! It showed exactly my walking foot and how to use it on my sewing machine. I was struggling with how to make it work...and now I DID IT! Thank you SO MUCH.👍🏻🥰
Thanks for that, I couldnt find a decent video of how to attach a walking foot on my Brother machine and it isnt included in the manual unfortunately. But you did an excellent video showing clearly how to install the walking foot both front and back and the (talkative) explanation with it, which I'll be keeping for future reference. Well done and thanks again.
Thank you! I have been making a seersucker shirt and the moment facing or any layers of fabric are involved it turns into a bunching, gathering nightmare! Like you said, I found the walking foot very intimidating - now I wish I'd found your video before. I love how every sewing project, no matter how basic always brings new learning with different fabric types and new problems. :)
Fantastic! I can now put my walking foot to good use. I wish I had known this last year when I made so many quilted Xmas stockings! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge
Thank you for a great video!! I have struggled for weeks with making curtains, and the shifting is INSANE. This video has helped me a TON!! I like your straight-forward explanation and demo. :)
You explained this perfectly and could see exactly what you were talking about too. I’ll be sticking around to see what else you can teach me! Thank you
Thank you so much for this video! 😁 I installed it correctly but then took it apart because I thought it was setting too low and couldn't feed the fabric through! I didn't realize the foot goes even higher up if you pull it higher than its resting up position! 😂 Now I'm putting it back together and going to try sewing a sample piece before I attempt at sewing my first quilt. Lol
THANK YOU!!!! That was driving me crazy! And thanks to you...and 4 mins later....it's installed. I got my machine a year ago and have tried every other week to get it down. I even called my favorite sewing machine store cuz they have classes and stuff like that and they said it would cost basically 50 bucks to learn how to install it so that's a no. The Brother website wasnt nearly as clear as your video. Subbed!
Thank you for this clear, concise video to explain the walking foot. I bought one and used, or tried to but hadn’t the arm correctly placed on the needle bar…. I see now. I’m new to sewing so this was very helpful.
Thank you so much for this very clear and helpful guide. Seriously. I had no idea you have to actually unscrew the second part too… THANK YOU, OH GODDESS OF THE SEWING MACHINE!!
Thank you for sharing how to use this pressor foot. I’m new to sewing and not really sure how to use the other feet that normally comes with the machine. Can you do a video and demonstrate how each one works? Ty
Great video, I just spent about an hour trying to put the screw back in as a video from someone else showed the screw being taken out. Don’t ever take the screw out unless you have weird sticky fingers to hold the screw with! Or a special gadget that my husband had in his stash for holding screws…..
Just picked up sewing and trying to make some pot holders (lots of batting in the middle) and the pattern said I needed a walking foot! Thanks for this!!! I was so confused.
Thank you for explaining how to use this foot. Your explanation was very clear and now I have a good idea on how to use and exactly on what project I will use it.
Thank you for this wonderful demonstration!! After making masks all last year I have an abundance of fabric and my next new hobby appears to be quilting, lol. Recently purchased a walking foot and if it came with instructions, they walked the heck away. THANK YOU! So easy to follow and understand. I really appreciate it 💜💜🐿️

OMG this is like the best thing ever Im a newbie and I been trying to sew a minky blanket for my son and It didn't turn out so great but today after doing this I made a decent looking blanket thanks for the info great explanation right into thanks so much
I too did not think I could make use of a walking foot. boy how wrong was I! It is seldom I now sew without it as it seems so much more effortless to have fabrics line up and seam well. Yes I waited too long also, but that is the great thing about any crafty pursuit - you can discover new things and enhance the joy of making.
I love this video I'm new to sewing, I'm planning on selling baby blankets using minky material , faux fur ect. the walking foot is a must to have because I made a blanket for family member and the material moves it was a nightmare 😢
Thank god for this. I’m now a little less petrified of my sewing machine as I learn to sew ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻

When I got my walking foot, another web site said using a walking foot would help with Jersey knit material.
Thank you for this clear, concise video to explain the walking foot. I bought one and used, or tried to but hadn’t the arm correctly placed on the needle bar…. I see now. I’m new to sewing so this was very helpful.
Thanks so much !
Now I’m asking myself why I’ve waited so long to purchase one as well !
I believe I can actually do this now! Your video and explanation were so helpful. Thank you!

A million Thank You's. You did a fantastic job! I was able to get my walking foot on my machine. Your the best! Stay safe!
Great video, I just spent about an hour trying to put the screw back in as a video from someone else showed the screw being taken out. Don’t ever take the screw out unless you have weird sticky fingers to hold the screw with! Or a special gadget that my husband had in his stash for holding screws…..
oh dear! so glad you were able to figure it out! sometimes you gotta watch 50 youtube videos before you find the right one haha
