74th place may not SOUND impressive on its own, but remember: last time Mob tried, he came in 294th out of 300, AND his leg got hurt during this race. This is a gargantuan leap for the boy, and really showcases his time with the Body Improvement Club paying off. :)

99.99% of the episode was so wholesome...until the fire nation attacked
The way Reigen supported Mob both while he was preparing for the marathon and in this scene is REALLY underappreciated. He not only let Mob take time off work to allow him to prepare, Reigen even trained together with him! Despite not being in shape. The only reason why he trained was to support Mob. He went so far as to run alongside him, with proper gym clothes on and everything, in this last part of the marathon to cheer him on and motivate him. He even counted what place Mob was in.
I feel like people don't appreciate this nearly enough, it's so sweet.
It's subtle because Reigen rarely expresses it with words, but he's basically Mob's biggest supporter, he loves him so much. It's shown in his actions and in all the things he does for Mob. It makes my heart melt
Agreed. It's so clear that in the end Reigen is such like a lovely and supportive old brother even if a lot of his actions towards Mob are so underrated. ^///^
Coulda sworn he said he used to run track or cross country. . . .coming in on the last 3rd of the race and trying to get mob to match his fresh pace is such a track coach thing to do why does he know how to do EVERYTHING.
Him training with Mob was also brought up in the last episode when he ran after him, all the time he spent running with Mob in preparation for the Marathon inspired him to improve himself too and he kept up the training after the Marathon. That's how he managed to run through the entire obstacle course made by Mob's psychic powers going wild, Mob's efforts pushed him to do the same, giving him the endurance to survive the suicide run to catch up with him.
AH YES WHAT AN AMAZING END TO AN SUPER WHOLESOME EPISODE. IT WAS SO NICE TO SEE MOB GET ALL THE SUPPORT FROM HIS FRIENDS AND HIS PARENTS AND I'M GLAD THAT WE FINISHED THE EPISODE ON SUCH A POSITIVE NOTE.

This was such a wholesome episode. I love how Mob is finally accepting his feelings and is living a happy, healthy childhood. Perfect. And his family is supporting him through and through. I didn’t like the brother at first but he’s made such a turnaround since the first season. I just love it. ❤️

to be fair to Ritsu when he first got his powers I think it's a case of him getting carried away. it's what happens with every single esper in the series as well as most of the other characters. I'd say it's honestly a core message of the show that you're pretty much bound to get carried away with stuff and that you might end up hurting people or doing stupid stuff because of it but that's what it is to be human and all you can do is take responsibility, try your best to be better and forgive yourself since you can't do any of that if you're too busy making yourself feel worse.

That girl that MOB is in love with is really intelligent she probably even knows how Mob feels about her that little gesture she did by stopping her self from distracting him shows that she understands his feelings
To be honest I think she really likes Mob. Not romantically for sure but she likes him as a person and has a lot of respect for him. They don't share many interests which keeps them from being friends but she enjoys watching him improve every day. She knows that she's his goal but I don't think she'll ever actually want to be in a relationship with him.

To be honest she was Mob and Ritsu's Childhood friend so she does care about Mob. The thing is she doesn't hang out with them currently but I don't think they ended up in a bad note the last time they met.

I also like that Tsubomi, the girl Mob hasa crush on, actually cheered for him, and he didn't freak out. It may have been the blood loss dulling brain, but I like to think that it wasn't about impressing anyone. He was focused on proving to himself he was better.

the fact that a show with physicians and powers, one of the most emotional and character development ep is the one that he's running a marathon like a normal child talks a lot about this anime. i love sm how the story still reach emotions with the most normal things

I know this is super cheesy and goes without saying but Mob really is a good person. He pushed himself throughout the entire series to be prepared for this marathon. Despite not being able to make it in even in the top 10 he focused purely on just making it to the finish line. Many people he stayed genuine to even came along to support him because they knew how much it meant to him. That’s the part that gets me right in the feels everytime 🥺🥺 I’m so glad I saw this clip today because I’ve been feeling like no matter how much I do I never seem to get anywhere.

Now I recently noticed something, in the first season, he saids he doesn't flight because he gets sick, but on season 2 he DOES flight on multiple occasions, so, hear me out, his physical training did have a positive effect on him as a psychic, which he uses to protect those he cares about, and i think that is awesome af. thank you for reading and have a nice day :)

Mob my dude, you gotta use your nose to steady your breathing.
In through the nose, out through the mouth.
Everything flows from the breath, that's just a fact.
If your breathing isn't steady, then you're not getting a steady flow of oxygen to your body, and thus your stride will become less consistent, which will force you to focus more on your legs, which is the exact opposite of what you want when long-distance running.
When running long distance, focus on your breathing. Find a rhythm that works for you. For me it's 3 steps inhaling, 2 steps exhaling. I just count to 5 over and over, keeping my breathing in time. Different people will prefer different rhythms, so experiment on what feels best for you.
If you can get in the zone, you could run 2 kilometres or 20, the only difference is how sore you get the next day.

Well she saw how much Mob determination was(or how much he has changed), to run despite being hurt. So she don’t want him to be distracted because of her. Although she may seem like a shit person, she really care for mob, especially in the last arc.
