How are all you sensational subs and random viewers this week? I hope everyone is happy and healthy and I hope you can sit back turn off your worries and tune out of life while I make today’s awesome additions to my stack. While watching a documentary on Egypt it got me thinking I don’t have any Egyptian treasure so why not make my own . I have seen this piece and design a lot over the years I remember the first time I saw it was playing the original Tomb Raider on PSone when I was a little kid. So today I’ll cast The Ankh. The ankh or key of life is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol that was most commonly used in writing and in Egyptian art to represent the word for "life" . Now that that’s all said and done Why not Donate a little bit of your time in The way of allowing one or two ads to play through this will help support the channel😆 more revenue means more giveaways👊🏻😄. A better way to support the channel is play one of my playlists on your computer before you walk away from it and let it play through that really helps as well but don’t ever feel as though you need to watch the ads if you don’t want to simply skip them and move into the video it’s completely up to you and I understand if you don’t have the time to do so👌🏻
can you imagine if his stack became a fieldtrip location? " an here we have BigStackD's stack. these were made by the afore mentioned ancient smelter king of Australia."
Loved that image of the Ankh that would continously re-light itself in flames after the holy water was tossed on it! One of my favorite casting videos for sure.
@@mikethomas9623 Likely be MUCH simpler (and easier) to have a full size statue carved from foam or plaster and use that to make the mould... Certainly would cause less long-term problems too... I can certainly see the munchkins retaliating with all kinds of havoc if he tried using them to make the moulds...(chewed up furniture & shoes, re-colouring various fabric items yellow - 1 patch at a time, leaving brown surprise "Packages" where you least expect to step on them, digging up the grass/gardens etc.)...
I wish I had the ability to do this stuff. Other than the financial means to aquire the equipment my health keeps me pretty much stationary. But I love watching people make things, and dreaming up stuff I would love to make. Loved the Ankh. Maybe oneday I wqill find someone around here who can do something similar for me. Thank you for another interesting video, and something new to think about.
That shot of you brushing the nordic gold ankh almost reminded me of an archaeologist finding an artifact :O Beautiful pieces, still impressed by how much detail some packed earth can get!
LOVE the fun socks and thank you.... I so love Egyptian artifacts, casting them would be so much fun ... your a blessed man buddy... knowing you in real time as well as the kids (fur babies) would of been a real pleasure!!! Keep up the great job and showing them fun socks off ... to cool!!!
I've become a big fan of your videos - and as much as the melting and casting impresses - I have to say that your neatness and attention to detail when cleaning up / squaring away is top shelf , too.
One of your best videos yet. It's amazing to see how your skills and techniques have developed. This is still my favorite weekly video. Thanks for putting the time in making them.
The ending made me think, you can 3d print a pyramid. Without the limestone cap on top. Just the pyramid with brick texture and cast it out of copper. Then, tou can melt aluminum, and upturn the pyramid and dip it in and coat the top. Do it several times to thicken it up. Then it looks like it has the cap on top!
I just found your channel not even a week ago and I don’t know how I never stumbled across your channel. It is really calming and very entertaining to watch you do this. And have inspired me to become like you one day. Thank you for the great content

Hey Dion, those are absolutely awesome, thank you so much to both you & Adam for the wonderful distraction from this most stressful election ever... Love y'all
this reminds me when i use to strip down old IBM computers that my school would get rid of, the amount of copper i would get on top of getting silver and gold from them was just amazing
This vid is - considering all your non ingot casting vids - the best one so far - originality-wise (and object-wise) and diversity-of-metal-mixes-being-poured-in-one-vid-wise ! Great job indeed !
Why so early because of Daylight Savings Time and of course do you know when is the Cheers 🍻 segment is going to come, It needs two Cheers 🍻 segments before melting and then after melting
In 1715, a hurricane sank a 10 ships in a Spanish treasure fleet very close to the east coast of Florida. From time to time after storms, Spanish gold washes ashore to be found by the army of people with metal detectors. If your very cool casting was left on this beach, you could easily cause a heart attack when someone found your artwork. They wouldn't know it was an Egyptian design at first Bravo!!! Well done...
Every time I watch your videos, I think to myself surely he can't top the last one. Wrong again. This was absolutely phenomenal. Love to see the boys and then an epic pour. This truly was a great one. Am sure I'll be watching it several more times. 👍👍👍
Hey Big. When you do your mixed metal melt of all your slag, You should do a mega cube and then polish it up and then get someone to collab with that does engraving and get them to do a funky pattern on all the sides. Great Video cant wait to see the fan mail unboxing and melt. Cheers.
I would never ever have thought of doing anything like what you have done! Wow wow wow. You have set a spark in my head l thought was dead. I got heaps of scrap in the factory. It's time to wake up and start learning again. You freaking Legend. Thank YOU.

I love this channel. I don’t do much casting but it’s entertaining. No chit chat, no bullshit, straight buisness. That’s what I love the most. Plus the fact you know what good beer is. 😉
Firstly time I've watched this & i have to say your molding & casting of the ANK is a thing of beauty & i would love to see more casting vlogs. Especially with any i gots you didn't like the look of & used that metal to cast anything your mind can think of. Great work mate 👍🏼 that second set up with the 4 holes was genius & it showed you had got the metal everywhere you wanted it to go & others too.
I used to scrap electronics and motors and sell the copper aluminum and brass. I still scrap but now I save everything to melt lol youre an inspiration
As always, a sensational video of melts. Seeing that u enjoy the Egyptian style of melts/molds, I think a pyramid of Nordic gold would look great to add to your collection. Maybe even have the details of the layers in it too. Just an idea. See ya in next week's episode of castings.
These ankhs are really well done, it's really nice to see how much you learned the "metal psychology" (as my jewelry teacher liked to say), your casts clearly gained in quality over your videos (y) Keep up the good work, thx to you i'm going at some point to make my furnace, and start making my own jewelry with scrapped metals :D
I have watched MANY of your videos...you sir have inspired me...I have ordered my own smelter, molds, safety gear...everything i need to get started...im going to start with easy melts but my goal is to smelt some nordic gold! I love that stuff

I like the gold one mate, all the imperfections make it look ancient
Since you hit your target what are you going to do? Sell it all? What's the total value?

Before you reach 1 tonne, you should make a life size nordic gold statue of Ingot.
I think Ingot wouldn't enjoy being covered in petrobond and having it hammered down. I could be wrong.

Hello, boys! 🧡🐾🖤🐾
There's just something about a flaming ankh that refuses to be extinguished...😬
Indeed it looked absolutely awesome when it kept re-igniting,
off-camera I let it burn for quite awhile as I had a beer while watching it👌🏻😁

They all turned out stunning! 🤟😎
Every time I see the spray bottle, I expect to hear “bad kitty!”😆 Also, I love the socks.

@ArtByAdrock Amen to that!
The flaming ankh looked badass especially when it reignited.

@5:35 watching the black flake off of the skull in the boiling ice to reveal the raw copper colour. Really nice. One of you finest moments.
Those shelves tho. They are the true hero’s in this story.

Any time I see an Ankh, I think of the old sci-fi movie “Logan’s Run.” Great work!
Me too! I remember that movie when it came out.
"You can live!"

@@davidbee3704 in the movie it was 31, because most of the lead actors were infact already over 30!!
